  1. Gating tart And super boring rider Kolodziej is on form. Holder had the opportunity to move out and try and block him but stuck inside. The speed is out wide.
  2. The winter of discontent was not caused by Coventry winning in 2010. It was caused by a couple of clubs jumping the gun with team building before the AGM. Some clubs in the top flight were struggling financially and didn’t want a higher points limit at the time. Matt Ford, devil incarnate for some and a promoter who could afford to put together a team in the higher points bracket, realised it would turn the EL into a have a have not League, which was basically half the haves and half the have nots. Whilst it is not good to pander to the lowest denominator, it is no good having a league of 4 clubs, with a further 4 or 5 making up the numbers. The idea of a points limit is so that clubs can all start on a fairly level playing field to give the sport some credibility. Matt Ford backed this idea. I am sure if Eastbourne and another club had been able to afford a higher points limit he would have gone along with that as well. Alan Trump stormed out of the AGM, and was naively followed at the time by Rick Frost, who regretted it later. Trump, a property millionaire, backed by Sandhu, could afford the best. So a high points limit was no issue. Same goes for Rick Frost. Take that against Eastbourne for example should couldn’t and wouldn’t afford the top stars. What’s the point of whipping boys? We see this current season what that’s like in the Polish leagues. Matt Ford said at the time that he was very disappointed in the outcome of the 2010 playoff finals. The bending of the rules by Coventry left a foul taste in the mouth but that had nothing to do with what happened that winter. It was all to do with keeping the EL to the maximum amount of teams and to keep it competitive for Sky. Matt Ford can be an easy target but if the sport had other promoters with the same brains and drive then it would be in a much better place than it currently finds itself. My opinion and many of course will disagree.
  3. Hampel is a second division rider these days. Always a gater, this form of “racing” has started to desert him more often than not. Fast out front but almost clueless these days when behind.
  4. Riders too worried about dropping a point, and think of themselves. A point could be a grand or more. Why risk your earnings?
  5. Holder lifted a second earlier giving Laguna the opportunity. If he hadn’t lifted he would probably have got through.
  6. Laguna lifted, nothing more just hard racing. Realised his error and went over to Holder.
  7. Never a doubt Iversen excluded. Nasty high speed crash though.
  8. Rubbish. When Poole turned up other clubs had their biggest attendances. That’s a fact. Success is always viewed with bitterness and jealousy from rival fans and here’s a prime example.
  9. As I asked earlier, how did Matt Ford screw over Coventry and Peterbough. He didn’t Coventry were Screwed over by their portion. Trump caused many of the issues and was righty banned from the sport for life. If Frost thought he was being screwed over, why was he a friend of Matts and sponsored the Pirates over the following seasons?
  10. Far from that but a rider who has confidence issues. As I said not a fan of his even though he rode for Poole for several seasons. Found he struggled with pressure and went awol when it really mattered. Ipswich away in the semis last season the prime example. He's a good rider and will serve BV well next season and their fans will like him. But never a GP rider and his level is heat leader in the U.K. and second string Extraleague/heat leader league One Poland. Also, who is Lindsay, stop being pathetic.
  11. Clearly under pressure. Not a fan of his but he is clearly a lot better than today. And he finally got his act together as that ride showed.
  12. Seen a fair bit of him. A reserve in the U.K. and rightly so. Does a little better in Poland where you have to crank the throttle wide open. Have yet to see anything to change my but to give the lad a chance I am willing to change my opinion. Had one good meeting when he came in to replace Kurtz, butas faded since. A mediocre Aussie rider, nothing to see here, move on.
  13. Lindsey is an average Aussie. I don’t see him being anything other than a grating tart ala Fricke.
  14. Tungate having a good season. Great race! Yes as a Poole fan, I age watchedKurtz enough to know he is a Schlein, not a Holder. Goes AWOL when it matters and isn’t mentally strong. Having a mare season well below his standard Though. His confidence has taken a pounding. Lindsey is no better than Kurtz.
  15. Another poorish meeting from Torun. A couple of decent races. CH not happy with Musielak in his first when he Pole left him no room. Kildemand a real spent force.
  16. I must have a short memory. Please explain how Matt Ford was trying to put Coventry and Peterborough out of business, “without a care in the world”.
  17. Can you think of any other sport where a player is rag dolled and back out 5 minutes later? A footballer would be out for 6-8 weeks.
  18. Nasty crash. Hope Pepe is OK. Holta lifted and rightly excluded.
  19. Lindgren quietly going about his business but by god I find him boring.
  20. Doyle has gone the same way as Milik. Down. Had a good few seasons but time has caught up. No longer a rider to fear. The old guard on their way out and being replaced by younger, fearless riders.
