  1. No we are just fine as we are, the biggest club in the sport no matter what league. Other fans must have a team to aspire to and want to emulate. That goes for all sport. Mind you I haven’t noticed us acting as “big time Charlie’s” since The club was taken down. Perhaps the professionalism of the club makes us look that way?
  2. Have yet to see a club put on a home defeat. The clubs are playing to their own fans and rightly so. I am enjoying the Edinburgh videos and Redcar as well. Some good racing.
  3. How weird. Surely the Poole videos are for the Poole fans and if we have been basking in our glory that is what our fans want to see. And boy do we have a lot of trophies to show for it! The most successful club in the sports modern era by the proverbial mile. No other club comes close. Your dislike of anything Poole is frankly hilarious. As for the meetings that other clubs have been showing, some are good some are very poor, like Ipswich v KL snooze fest on Thursday. The IOW meeting videos are good quality but the racing is marginally above dire. Not sure what meeting Poole will show on Wednesday but pretty sure it will be another good one for the Poole fans. You are not forced to watch it.
  4. Shame both legs can’t be shown. Though I remember what John Cook did to the Lakeside track that night. Paid off against Swindon in the semis but Middlo was wise to that trick and the riders were ready for it.
  5. Thought it was great racing with loads of passing tonight. Wolves just not at the same level. A young Freddie Lindgren showing his potential, Lindback showing brilliance, with Bjarne showing why he was so popular for Poole fans.
  6. Streamed last night and a very enjoyable meeting to watch as well.
  7. Never been away. Just nothing worth commenting on.
  8. Sorry to read this news. Just like The Doctor, I remember Mark from the speedway mailing list years ago. RIP
  9. There’s two hopes of getting a home Premier league match ticket for AFC Bournemouth. No hope and Bob Hope. Bob has left the building. Any empty seats seen are season ticket holders who have not turned up. The system used to get a regular ticket for Bournemouth home games makes it almost completely impossible due to the points system in place. Touts possibly the only bet to get inside the ground. Believe if Bournemouth had a 25,000 capacity it would still be full.
  10. Season ticket is not a good deal. I am away at end of April for two weeks in Italy, again in June for two weeks in eastern Europe, with a further two weeks pencilled in for France in September. Seriously £20 inc program to watch second div racing is not value and people will think twice about coughing up to watch certain teams that don’t set the pulses racing. I am fortunate in that I can afford it but there are many who will give it serious though whether to bother watching the likes of Newcastle, Berwick etc.
  11. So we save a whopping £1 on last years prices for second division speedway? Terrible. A more realistic price would be £14.
  12. I will give it a chance. But I am expecting crowds to be down. Happens in all sports. Crowds drop the lower the league.
  13. And when about 600 turn up next season they will realise Poole fans don’t want second division speedway, and riding on a Thursday wasn’t an issue after all.
  14. Why the hell is Hampel being discussed? Poole are in the second division. Forget Hampel. He won’t even ride top flight.
  15. Great news that Adam is back. Was a terrible call that we let him go to Swindon. Feel sure he will be number one first GS.
  16. I have been in southern Europe for 6 weeks enjoying the beautiful countries of Italy, Croatia, Spain and Portugal. Not missed much here with the usual bickering and nastiness.
  17. Surprised this thread is still going. But then again, I am not. I guess the thing is, Poole, no matter what league they ride in, are the biggest name in the UK by the proverbial mile and can easily have topics in all leagues which have the most posts/views. It doesn’t matter what league Poole ride in, the threads will always be the biggest/longest/most posted on. Other fans may disagree but if there’s one club worth talking about, it’s Poole.
  18. McCaffrey had a go at me a couple of season ago for daring to say I had a HD Polish feed of an Extraleague meeting when he couldn’t get it. Found him to be a very strange person and steered well clear. I just ignored him to be honest. Clearly knowledgeable but very strange behaviour. Couldn’t post on the international thread without him coming on with some kind of abuse. He certainly doesn’t like Poole or many, if any Poole fans. His latest outbursts on Stewkesbury and how Poole are going to wreck the championship is frankly hysterical ranting. I wonder if he has some type of issue and we should take this into account?
  19. If Gavan doesn’t have the intellect to understand my post, then he really has proved himself to be a complete And utter numpty.
  20. Yes us normally laughing at you, not with you.
  21. I won’t get into long discussions as I am with a group of friends in Italy and we’re about to go out to dinner. But what is most important is the home team fielding the same 1 to 7 every week. Less so the away team. Poole won’t be in the top flight next season, more’s the shame. I am not looking forward to next season and believe the crowds at Poole will be considerably down because of it. A second string as a number one will not be a crowd puller.
  22. It’s quite simple. Ride on the night of your choice. Pick a team of riders who won’t be affected by this race night. If opposition teams are affected then so be it.
