I had the flu in 2003. A cold it is not. Man flu it is not. I was laid out for over two weeks in bed and affected for well over a month Totally exhausted before slowly recovering. It is true to say that line that if a 50 pound note had Wafted past my bedroom window I would not have got up to pick it up. It really can be a life threatening illness for the weak and elderly. If a jabs available for free from the doctor don’t hesitate IMO.

I don’t believe the change of race night has made the 20% drop. I believe there are several other factors.

I don’t believe moving back to a Wednesday from a Thursday would make any difference to crowd levels.

Yes you are right. I was a bit quick off the mark and very disappointed to read and hear there was a risk of us dropping down. Hasty is the right word. I have always much preferred the highest quality racing, as I prefer top league football. I went to Swindon Town v Newport recently and what a load of crap that was. I did enjoy Poole when they were in the NL as I didn’t have anything to compare it with. But the sport has changed completely from the 1990’s. And when we moved up the racing was just so much better. I might not feel like it now but if Poole do drop down, by March I will probably trundle down the road to the stadium. It’s in the blood.

Just had the flu jab last week. Grotty for a couple of days but ok now. Worth having.

Good luck with leaving on the 31st.

Thought at the time, there’s a brexiteer.

You wouldn’t want Klindt?
-
I wasn’t sure though had an inkling. In which case they are stuck with him.

There are some right idiots on here. Running a team in the CL is not 75% cheaper than PL. It is 25% cheaper, 75% of the costs!

I do believe presentation need to be improved ten fold. Get it like Poland. Riders in team suits ( Matt should get this sorted) no mechanics standing around smoking and chatting behind the riders during parade. Riders presented with helmets off. No away team sitting on their bikes desperate to push off, causing issues (Cook) Start heat 1 at exactly 7.30 on the dot. Not 7. 38 or 7.41. Poland starts within a second or two of the start time. Copy it here.

Absolutely. I have a 15 year old daughter and spend the maximum possible time with her. Out to the cinema this afternoon and taking her to her favourite resteraunt afterwards. Off to the Italian alps next week with a couple of nights in Venice. Tenerife in January for a weeks flying with my mates. Back to Bassano Del Grappa in late March for a week then Annecy in June for a couple of weeks flying and sightseeing. No different to most people. Work hard, play hard, enjoy life. Happy days. Sorry for being off topic but some things need to be said.

Can’t work out what you are saying here.

Absolutely. Klindt has improved quite dramatically over the last couple of seasons and is Pirates rider of the season. He showed promise early in his career but never seemed to fulfil it. Finally he is showing everyone what he is capable of and the Polish top flight is beckoning. No way he will return to Monmore and should be Fords first signing alongside Josh. No way would we want Thorsell who now seems nowhere near the rider he was, even taking injury into consideration, or Masters who’s reached his level and was frankly appalling in the playoffs both here and for his Polish club. Schlein, Douglas, Becker and perhaps Howarth. Depends how much enthusiasm the Wolves management have left. Adams seemed to have little on tv.Is he a promoter there is just an employee? Time to cast loyalty aside and find a younger and more enthusiastic manager? A hard call. Perhaps he realised Wolves game was up when the track got a dousing in the first leg. Would Wolves like to see Adams bow out gracefully and be replaced by Sam Ermolenko?

Difference is I am a Poole fan, not a Poole troll like yourself. I don’t spend time on an Ipswich thread as I have no interest in them other than when Poole race against them. Oh, and the playoff final as well as it’s the supposed pinnacle of the season. Meanwhile in a Poole v Belle Vue thread you will be in there spouting your repetitive anti Poole spew, post after post. Sorry to other posters on the thread who don’t want to see this. As you can all see Gavan is having one of his episodes again, which he seems unable to control. I best stick him back on ignore again as he is what he is.

Have you emailed this to info@poole-Speedway.com? No point posting it on here. All comments to be in by 8pm Monday. Though judging by the above “constructive comments” it will be deleted pretty quickly.

So I get personally attacked by others but gave to ignore it? Why haven’t you aimed that post at your best mate Sid?

This constant rain over the last two days has probably turned the track into a quagmire. They need a dry day today but tomorrow’s forecast is for light rain from 10 am. It’s starting to look doubtful this meeting is going to go ahead but fingers crossed. The U.K. has been on the wrong side of the jet stream for over a month meaning every weather front is riding over the top of us like a conveyer belt.
