Arrived to see most of the dirt gone and it looked slick with very little in the way of dirt in the outside. The rider interviews after the meeting confirmed this as they all said they were completely caught out by the track and it being prepared nothing like normal. Why on earth did that happen? Surely a track should be prepared the same every week to the riders liking? Took Poole until half way through the match to get going and it should have been won far earlier than heat 15 but we got there in the end. Take a bow Jason Edwards that was the best I and many other have ever seen him ride and when he gated in heat 15 with Wright at the back I expected Wright to pick off a Pirate to cause a golden heat. Lawsons bike going pop in heat 13 caused it to come down to the last but that was the worst I have seen Pirates ride this year. As for our new signing Vinnie Ford, well it was an improvement on his predecessor and he battled all night. Pirates go top. No home meeting now for over a month.

Watched Vinnie Foord yesterday and he was quite impressive, scoring 11. Best wishes to Max to rebuild his career annd improve.

All legit businesses have insurance. More so should items of value be left at the site. I have it and it’s expensive but necessary.

Surely the club has insurance to cover theft. I even have cover working from home. Bound to be an excess charge but the club haven’t lost more than a £500 excess.

Missed opportunity to raise some funds for the club. No one would begrudge paying a pound for parking.

Well just got back a late finish but the large crowd remained until the end. First and foremost very nasty crashes for Kerr and especially Bastian Borke, who clipped the back wheel of his team mate and smashed into the back straight fence at full speed. He was on the track for a good 30 minutes before being moved carefully onto a stretcher and off to hospital. Bastian was having a very good meeting and it was such a shame it ended as it did. Kerr crashed in almost the same spot but was able to walk away after some attention. Wishing both riders a speedy recovery.

Ambulance from Poole hospital is here and they are working on Bastian to lift him onto stretcher. Now done should be in ambulance soon. Obviously taking their time.
