  1. I think Swindon will get 4th. Rather go there than Monmore.
  2. But caused mostly by rider error. Tungate’s last ride summed it up.
  3. Sorry Brum but Wimborne Road is a better track than Monmore. It’s had its issues granted, but at the moment it’s the best it’s been for a long time and far better racing than watching riders wobble around Monmore.
  4. Ryan Douglas was excellent at Poole the other night. Tonight you wouldn’t know it was the same rider. Just goes to show. Put a good rider on a good track and they can perform. Stick them on Monmore and they look like a rider who has only cocked his leg over a bike for the first time the week before.
  5. I hope so. Never been a fan of Monmore. Riders wobble around all over the show and heats get spaced out.
  6. A bit of passing and repassing in the last. Riders getting so spaced out though. Hopefully it will improve.
  7. Poole are just a better team than Ipswich. With a team manager that knows his stuff.
  8. Yes Ipswich are cannon fodder now. Had a good period punching above their weight but now riding to form. But to be honest I don’t care who we have in the playoffs. Have to beat them to be champs and we are good at that.
  9. At Poole the flag marshal stands in the middle of the track ten metres in front of the tapes with flag raised. Whilst away riders don helmets and sit on their bikes during parade, none have ever ridden off past the flag Marshall. Absolutely agree. A simple solution is that riders are not allowed to Don helmets or straddle a bike until all riders have been announced. Keep the bikes behind the riders and mechanics hold onto helmets until intros finished. Simple.
  10. That’s the exit from the pits. The entrance is halfway down the back straight.
  11. Wasn’t ~Eastbourne who caused this. Though Eddie should have kept his beak out of it.
  12. The entrance to the pits is half way down the back straight, meaning the three riders would have had to have ridden past the riders who were still being introduced! There were families by the riders!
  13. The flag Marshall was under instruction to stop the out of control Cook, Vissing and other rider from coming around and riding in front of the other riders who were still being introduced to the crowd, along with members of the public who were also trackside. The Marshall is a hero from stopping potential carnage.
  14. All three banned for the fracas at Eastboune. Cook for 12 days, Kennet and Vissing for 10 days. Ban starts tomorrow. Discuss. Statement from SCB. Over the last 2 weeks, the SCB Co Ordinator has requested witness statements from a number of licenced officials who were in attendance at the Eastbourne v Glasgow fixture on Saturday 3rd August, and also has reviewed video evidence from the scenes that happened prior to that fixture. It has proven that 3 riders, Craig Cook, Claus Vissing and Edward Kennett all Breached Speedway Regulation 3.2.8 which reads -Any act which is violent, threatening or abusive nature to any official, rider or any other person.Based on the evidence received and with the support of 2 SCB Officers, the following penalties have been applied -Craig Cook - SCB Registration suspended for a period of 12 days 12th August - 23rd August 2019Claus Vissing - SCB Registration suspended for a period of 10 days 12th August - 21st August 2019Edward Kennett - SCB Registration suspended for a period of 10 days 12th August - 21st August 2019Neil VatcherSCB Co-ordinator
  15. Let’s hope the weather is better next Monday than it was last week. A big fixture with Poole wanting to finish top and Swindon desperate to get into the playoffs. Pirates will still be missing Richie Worrall while Swindon arrive full strength. While Swindon haven’t travelled well this season they do have riders who know the quickest way around Wimborne Road and can give us serious problems. Should be a cracker. Thoughts?
  16. Rotten luck for Toninio. Broken arm after being hit by Freddie Jakobsen. Neither could do anything about it.
  17. Lol! So you think Ipswich were not benefitting from Heeps absence? Heeps scored three the last time he rode at Poole. Last night King, Allen, Kennett and K Pieczek would have covered his rides. It would have been better to check the facts before making that post.
