  1. A shame if it doesn’t go ahead but I am guessing the rent would have been the same with a tiny crowd. Many Poole fans would be at Blunsdon the same night. A shame but to run an event like this it has to be financially viable.
  2. Depends if he can get to Togliatti on Friday for practice.
  3. Never going to be anything else Skidder. Very rare for Ipswich to get one over Poole so they will be shouting from the rooftops come 9.30, regardless of Poole’s team strength tonight.
  4. Some of the team have been riding above themselves which has been impressive. But it won’t last in my opinion. They will make the playoffs with ease, like Poole, even with our injury crisis. You could even win next week at Wimborne Road as we are vulnerable at the moment. But I don’t see Ipswich as champions.
  5. Ipswich will win with ease but I think they are overrated. When it comes down to the playoffs they will be found wanting. Just my opinion of course and others may disagree which is their right.
  6. Wish it was one night only. His career is coming towards its end and he is on the way down. No chance of points from him or the reserves other than the guarantee in heat 2.
  7. Farcical guests, but at least it’s saved me going all the way to Ipswich tomorrow. Just not worth the time/fuel/effort when a team is put out like this to just make up the numbers (7). The team is there to fulfil its obligation. Nothing more.
  8. With posts like this I suggest you just stick to your intellectual level of Love Island.
  9. Did you not read or follow the Poole threads or any Poole news? I find it quite incredible that you don’t know that the Poole track was completely sorted several weeks ago and and is now in good condition.
  10. Holder also struggled with conditions, as did Josh until it started to slacken off near the end.
  11. Poole track has been bad this season until the recent fix. No denying it. But it’s now ok and racing is flat out with riders going for it, not being cautious as was seen last night. This has nothing to do with the score. KL won fair and square. But the racing could have been far better had the track been prepared slicker.
  12. The clay content is far too high. Only track in the country prepared in such a way and to the detriment of the racing.
  13. The track last night was very bad. Skilled experienced riders being extremely tentative is not right. It was badly prepared. Polish tracks of similar size are not prepared in such a way. They are produced to present the best opportunity for the best riders in the world to showcase their ability. Kings Lynn last night was prepared in such a way to cause two riders to retire from the meeting. It then caught out one of Britain’s best riders in Cook who lost control and fell, then Klindt who was extremely lucky to not get clouted on a dangerous first bend when his wheel lost its traction. It’s clear that Lynns track produces crap racing. Their fans have been bleating about it for a long time now. Clearly last night showed why racing is so poor. Chapman needs to get rid of the ridiculous grip and get it slicked off to produce racing the fans want to see. Stox wouldn’t notice a thing.
  14. Easy to beat a team devastated by injury. But I doubt it will stop the gloaters. Revenge will be ours when it matters.
  15. It has been announced that Pirates will have to put out a similar team to that which rode at Kings Lynn on Monday. Different guests but still r/r for Brady and 3 guests. The result is likely to be similar to Monday which is a shame for the top of the table clash. A full strength Poole team could have come away with a point or more but no chance with the current injuries and guests. 55-35ish.
  16. Unfortunately. But surely it’s in Chapmans interest to have a great race track with plenty of entertainment. Most of the passing tonight was because the track was bad and quality riders were actually feeling unsafe to go for it. It did improve in the last few heats safety wise but Cook fell in his own picking up grip Nd Klindt was extremely lucky on a very patchy first bend not to get injured, when his back wheel went from grip to slick. Both Wells and Jorgensen had to retire having aggravated injuries due to the conditions. This is not right. If this had been Wimborne Road it would have gone to 40 pages by now.
  17. Pooles track is far superior to Saddlebow now the track has been fixed. We have something called passing on a properly dressed track. No wonder there was no one there. I wouldn’t bother if that was served up every week. Well done to Kings Lynn on their win.
  18. As Chapman owns the stadium he could change the shape of the track to create more racing lines. There’s footage on Youtube of Saddlebow in the 80’s with England v USA and some brilliant racing. On a Saturday afternoon!
  19. Bad track and an extremely weak team. BT should never have shown this meeting.
  20. Well somehow we have stopped Kings Lynn hitting 60. We’ve won there twice already this season with a full team would do so again. The result tonight was never in doubt before the meeting so nothing has changed. At least our three riders walk away intact.
  21. Then why have two riders withdrawn, Riss nearly fell, Cook fell, Klindt fell. Track has been rough.
