  1. Well just got back and who would have thought at the start of the day the points would have been Swindon 1 Poole 5? Fantastic backs to the wall performance tonight from the Poole lads as they battled for everything on a track not fit for purpose. We should have won tonight as we were 60 metres clear in heat two going into the final lap when Covatti whacked into the big hole on bend one which stopped his bike dead. There was lots of track grading and Doyle was out there with a shovel. Possibly the reason he had to withdraw later in the meeting. Rosco far from happy with Musielak. Told to not come over but insisted, even though he was nursing his shoulder before the meeting. Didn’t have the strength to hold onto his bike and crashed. Rosco said they could have got a guest in. Stand up and take a bow Jack Holder. Brilliant performance tonight after hitting the hole in his first. Only 7 points tonight for Brady who would have relished the track. Both teams had riders missing though. A good haul of points. Both meetings rubbish racing wise to be honest though.
  2. Rosco lost for words over state of track. More blading. Tractor done more laps than the bikes.
  3. Riders struggling badly to stay on their bikes. All over the place. Not a windup. Genuinely bad track. All those moans earlier coming home to roost. This morning the Poole track was bad. No denying it. But why is this so bad tonight? Hope no one gets hurt.
  4. Large stones on track. One flew up and injured Josh G. Reason he pulled up during heat.
  5. Big hole appeared on first bend! Half a dozen track staff looking at it scratching their arses. Doyle out there. Oh dear.
  6. Batchelor unhappy with track. Track is not good. Extra work taking place to try and sort it out. Overwatered. First bend issues. Riders struggling.
  7. Arrived at Blunsdon. Two inches of snow on tge ground well, feels like it anyway. Drizzling. Bring a cost.
  8. Really? Why is that then? Because you disagree with my thoughts on the meeting? Swindon fans expected to pick up 7 points today and it hasn’t worked out. Lunchtime meetings are notoriously slick and dusty, though the dust was kept under control until the last few heats. Poole riders didn’t have the same issues the Swindon riders. We all know the Poole track is far from perfect. I posted a clip of the first meeting and the billowing dust clouds. Unacceptable. Yes, we would like the Poole track to be nice and smooth. And it isn’t. It doesn’t seem to be the promotions number one priority. Don’t ask me why. But it certainly wasn’t as bad as has been made out on here by people who were not at the meeting. Swindon were unlucky losing the Pole. But the chances were that we would still have won. As I have said on several occasions, Swindon have weak reserves and need their top 5 firing to win. Perhaps getting rid of the flaky Pole and bringing in Jensen will give them more clout.
  9. There were delays after several heats which could have been avoided. Ref was very poor. The crowd let him know their feelings.
  10. What has happened to that Zach W? Thought he had potential but he seems to have gone 4 steps backwards this season. He’ll probably make me eat my words tonight kind. Need to see Worrall ride decent tonight. Hope today wasn’t a flash in the pan.
  11. Really? Then it should have been a 3 pointer this morning and not r/r. It was announced he had a hand injury. Swindon caught telling porkies?
  12. Thanks Grachan. Was under the impression it was also one above as well. Musielak clearly hadn’t fully recovered from his shoulder injury of a couple of weeks ago. Just unlucky to knock it again. Speedy recovery to the lad.
  13. Just got back. First of all the ref had a mare. Dave Robinson was in absolutely no rush to speed the meeting along. There was no reason whatsoever for the meeting to take the length of time it did. Unnecessary gaps between heats when he could have put on the 2 mins. As for heat 13, the guy is a disgrace! Both Swindon riders, Batchelor in particular had a massive roller. Everyone in the grandstand was agog when the ref let it go. I thought the tapes hit Batchelor helmet as he rolled under them. He was certainly told by many fans in no uncertain terms. A ridiculous call to not bring it back. And a major howler from Rosco in heat 10. Perks came out to tapes, only to be called back to the pits by Rosco. The 2 mins ran out. Then a delay as Perks came back out on track. He wasn’t happy he had to go from 15 metres! Why didn’t Rosco Use Batchelor as an injury replacement for Musielak? To be honest there was only ever going to be one team in it after Musielak fell. Again their reserves were p poor, though Ellis Perks was trying and in the mix. Good to see Worrall riding as he should be. Best performance of the year. Keep it up Richie! All the boys gave. It a go. Lawson guesting scored ok but nowhere near Kurtz would have got. Track was much better than when the two teams previously met in the cup. Though due to the length of the meeting it got dusty in the last 3 heats. Seemed the Swindon riders struggled today where the Poole boys didn’t. Seems to have been a frenzy on here during the meeting but in truth it was a reasonably entertaining meeting for one taking place at lunchtime. Not as bad as some are making out who we’re nowhere near Wimborne Road. So a suprise 3 points in the bag. More than I expected to be honest. Doubt we will get anything out of tonight but I shall go along to cheer on the depleted Pirates!
  14. First person to fall there and was never, ever going to get around Ellis there with that much speed. Slid off nothing more.
  15. Zach W chocked! Poole track? No starting tapes wrapped around his neck. He’s now OK and walking back to pits.
  16. Doyle proves nothing wrong with the track. Lined up and picked off Covatti in a good race.
  17. Why? Reasonably Entertaining meeting. No dust this time. For a daytime meeting it’s been ok.
  18. Big crash on bend one. Riders footpegs tangled. Lawson up. Perks up. Fence deflated.
