We are riding well at the moment and have the best away record in the league. As long as we start like we did against Wolves we have a chance of at least a point. The right guests need to be picked for reserve though.

Monday sees the return of speedway on BT Sports with a near top of the table clash between BV and what will be a very patched up Pirates team, after the loss of Richie and Nico. I guess we will go with r/r for Richie and bring in a guest for Covatti. Meaning two guest reserve riders so not ideal. Nico’s scoring potential will certainly be missed. BV are solid at home but we did get a draw up there this season. Could be harder to come away with anything this time around though, as Richie’s rides can only be covered by Josh and the two guest reserves.

The track was excellent tonight. Smooth and a lot of dirt. Will take a few weeks to bed in properly and form racing lines. But no bumps and no dust until the last two races. Doubt there would have been any dust had the meeting completed on schedule.

He was filming the grandstand all cheering him. Guess there was nothing else he could do unless he wanted to feel sorry for himself. Well done to Matt Ford who said he would honour anyone who had to leave by offering them a heat 8 postponement discount off the next meeting. At least that’s what I thought was announced. Felt sorry for the BV fans who made the trip. Long delays, late home.

Just announced they do intend to try and complete meeting but hold onto tickets and they will discount next home meeting. Up to when paramedic can get back ad they have gone to a and e.

No getting away from the fact that whatever the result tonight it is meaningless in the scheme of things and riders health is far more important. Really this should be called off I doubt there would be any ill feeling from any fan here if that call was made. Still waiting for ambulance to return.

Obviously both out of meeting. A real racing accident. Result immaterial now. All three riders climbing over each other. Covatti seemed to clip Berges back wheel which put him down and Richie had no chance as he was right with them. Richie has a air splint on his leg.

Looks like a leg or foot injury for Richie. Ambulance just taken both to Poole Hospital. Wish them both a speedy recovery. Edit. Long delay. No room in ambulance for Richie. Covatti gone first. Another ambulance called for Richie who is on a stretcher on track.

Both Worrall and Covatti on oxygen. Both awake and talking.

Bowser just been going around. Looks like we have just lost two riders, Covatti and Worrall. Both tripping over each other trying to pass Berge. Trip to hospital by look of it. Interval being taken.

Sizzling here still at 7.12pm. Track work continuing. Spoke to Danny Ford who said they had this huge lazer leveller grader on the track and put on 5 to s of fresh new shale guess we will seeif its made any difference in just over 20 mins.

Just shows in Swindon’s case that a strong top end doesn’t mean a championship winning team.

Been an absolute scorcher here today and very windy. Can’t expect anything other than testing conditions from heat 6-7. Nicholls has ridden well at Poole this year and I expect him to easily match Bjerre. Where is Bjerre though? What’s wrong with him? Starke will try as he always does but last time he gated in one and still ended up Stone last. Good luck to him anyway.
