  1. The loss of Nico is a huge blow as he has been scoring well at reserve and the BV track wold have suited him well. Becker is a talent but still learning his trade. Etheridge was dropped by BV for not scoring so no advantage there. Richie struggles at BV but only Josh and the reserves can take his rides. We need one of the reserves to step up to the plate. Difficult to win without scoring 6 or 7.
  2. Hearing Nico might have got away without a bad injury with just bruised ribs. Out for a couple of weeks and no longer hopefully.
  3. Why would you ‘let us back in’ when we could already be in the lead? Poole are a better team than Belle Vue. You might beat us on Monday but I would fancy us over two legs in the playoffs.
  4. Howarth looks to be facing a ban of decent length if he broke the drugs test, even if it’s Night Nurse. Ignorance is no excuse. A shame for the rider.
  5. Would take him at Poole. Undoubted ability just needs time to get back to where he was.
  6. Heeps has been a revelation this year. Shows what fitness, mental attitude and determination can do. Reminds me a little of David Norris who, after many seasons of not living up to his ability, dedicated himself and had a season with a 9 point average.
  7. Perhaps if BV fans are feeling they have been hard done by with the curfew, they will hunt out Mark Lemon on Twitter or at the stadium on Monday and ask him directly.
  8. Woryna? Trouble is they all cost more money than uk clubs can afford at this current time.
  9. You can’t re-introduce a rider you have sacked this year.
  10. Think we have a good chance on Monday if the team ride to their potential. Looking forward to it.
  11. If Nico has got through on the inside I felt confident Richie would have got around Berge on the final bend. They spent three laps tripping over themselves trying moves but blocking each other.
  12. Think you can see in Nico’s eyes he know he is in the crap.
  13. We are riding well at the moment and have the best away record in the league. As long as we start like we did against Wolves we have a chance of at least a point. The right guests need to be picked for reserve though.
  14. Monday sees the return of speedway on BT Sports with a near top of the table clash between BV and what will be a very patched up Pirates team, after the loss of Richie and Nico. I guess we will go with r/r for Richie and bring in a guest for Covatti. Meaning two guest reserve riders so not ideal. Nico’s scoring potential will certainly be missed. BV are solid at home but we did get a draw up there this season. Could be harder to come away with anything this time around though, as Richie’s rides can only be covered by Josh and the two guest reserves.
  15. The track was excellent tonight. Smooth and a lot of dirt. Will take a few weeks to bed in properly and form racing lines. But no bumps and no dust until the last two races. Doubt there would have been any dust had the meeting completed on schedule.
  16. He was filming the grandstand all cheering him. Guess there was nothing else he could do unless he wanted to feel sorry for himself. Well done to Matt Ford who said he would honour anyone who had to leave by offering them a heat 8 postponement discount off the next meeting. At least that’s what I thought was announced. Felt sorry for the BV fans who made the trip. Long delays, late home.
  17. We won by two but best wishes to the the injured pair. More important than the win.
  18. Meeting can only run until 10.15. Paramedic Just arrived!
  19. Quite a few fans leaving now. Club given it every opportunity but time to call it imo.
  20. Just announced they do intend to try and complete meeting but hold onto tickets and they will discount next home meeting. Up to when paramedic can get back ad they have gone to a and e.
