  1. 43. If Poole were riding at BV tonight with no Cook and Bewley I would be extremely confident of winning or keeping it extremely close. I hope BV go through to the final for 2 reasons. They are weaker than they should be, and it’s a much easier journey to BV than Lynn, should Poole do enough next Monday night to go through to the final.
  2. If Lynn don’t come away with a win or as close as Poole got to Somerset last week they don’t deserve to be in the final. A massive open goal for them and they really should be thinking tonight will be job done to make next week a formality. Good luck to both teams. Hope BV do enough to make next week interesting.
  3. Darts man Phil Taylor was paraded around Poole a few years back waiving a pirates scarf. So was boxing guy Joe Calzagi. I spoke to ex Spurs player Darren Anderton at a meeting a couple of years back as well. Scott Mitchell is a regular.
  4. I remember going to Wimbledon back in the mid 70’s and Mud were there. I recall they rode around the track on mini bikes?
  5. He could win it 5 times on the bounce and will never get a nomination. Some woman footballer, a woman golfer, a rugby player, athletic person, swimmer, footballer, cricketer, cyclist, netballer, gymnast, tennis player, snooker ........no room for speedway. The main issue is the people who pick the shortlist do not know the sport. It’s called “bbc” sports personality. So if the beeb don’t cover it, forget it. Imagine if all speedway fans blocked voted Tai. He could easily end up third. How would the bbc talk that one off?
  6. Woryna didn’t cost his team. He wasn’t at fault for a puncture. The reason Rybnik failed to make it was the ref, calling back a heat when Robert Lambert moved. Woryna was away and gone with Lambert missing it. In the rerun the home team gated to a 5-1. And add to that a dubious decision where Batchelor was caught on the line when it looked from replays he had just won the heat by a tyre.
  7. Who does? I don’t believe anyone looks like a name.
  8. An ef and a ref lost if for Rubnik. Got to feel sorry for them. Very hard done by. A shame as Rybnik would have been a great addition to the top flight. Almost like Belle Vue missing out to Leicester, track wise.
  9. Not Rybniks day. Ef when on a 5-1 to go 4 up wih 2 heats to go. Everything seems against them inc ref. Woryna puncture. That puncture could prove extremely expensive.
  10. Disgraceful to be honest. If anyone moved it was Lambert. Ref should have let it go as he penalised himself. Typical rerun result. Lublin almost home and hosed.Woryna clapping the ref showed what he thought.
  11. Can’t see Rybnik holding on. No reserve to score and Spanner showing his Poole form. Already being a rider down through injury before the meeting is too much to carry.
  12. Just have to outgate him. He was fast when he gated but less effective if we got in front of him. If we win the toss I would chose heat 15 and let Somerset have 1 and 3 in heat 1.
  13. No it isn’t. When your partner goes off with someone else then bars you seeing your child completely, most would be devastated.
  14. Jeesh. People on here taking the P out of someones name, when the person themselves didn’t actually have a say in the matter. So Matt didn’t like the name his parents gave him so uses his middle name. So what? My wife hated the name she was given so uses her middle name. No big or small deal whatsoever. In fact not worthy of even mentioning.
  15. They need another person in the studio to give another perspective and play against the 2 we currently have who just agree with each other. Need a more controversial face to be argumentative.
