  1. All if, buts and maybe’s. End of the day both teams affected by losing a rider. Both teams picked up 7 points from irr. So no advantage gained by either side in the meeting. The winner was Kings Lynn because whichever team progressed last night they will be weaker in the final because of it. But what a night. Just great speedway in front of a very big crowd. Will be packed next week to the rafters.
  2. Where has this 4 points from Holders riders come from? 7 points were from his rides.
  3. I was wrong. Simple as that. Bomber brought with him too many negative memories for me to contemplate, but truth is he has said he ows Poole and is certainly paying it back. Well onto tonight and what a brilliant, brilliant meeting. It had the lot. Drama, crashes (of which I don’t like) drama, edge of your seat nerve jangling races and the ultimate of heat 15’s. The grandstand went absolutely ballistic. One forum member invaded the dog track and nearly got evicted. The loss of Brady in his first ride and I thought it was curtains. I didn’t know at the time as it wasn’t announced for at least 30 minutes that Holder was also out, which evened it up. If Holder had been OK Somerset would have romped it. Heard just before leaving that Holder may not have broken anything, just a big bump on the head. Brady has a broken collar bone and his season is run. Couple of thoughts. When Doyle fell he looked for it. It was clear he did a Nicki and dumped the bike in the hope of a rerun. The crowd were baying, shouting, out, out out. Huge roar when the white light came on. Poor call from Doyle who could probably have got second if he had stayed up, which at the end could have put Somerset through. Heat 15 and Klindt to me made the perfect start. Gutted the ref called it back. Spoke to Nicolai afterwards and he was frustrated about it. As for Bomber, never thought he would close on Doyle and get through. In fact on the third lap thought he was almost going to fall. To win by half a bike was just phenomenal. Never seen the grandstand erupt like that. Commiserations to Somerset who battled all the way. Wasn’t many Somerset fans present which was a suprise considering how many Poole fans headed to the Oak Tree. But a meeting like that shuts up all the people who moan about the Poole track. Just shows it produces excellent racing and is one of the best race tracks in the UK.
  4. What an effing brilliant night. What a brilliant tense meeting. Commiserations to Somerset.
  5. Whoever makes it through to the final from this semi is stuffed basically. Lynn got it as easy as Swindon last year. Racing about to start. Bikes warming up.
  6. This delay is the longest delay I can recall for an injury. Waiting for paramedic. Can’t start without him. He went with Holder to hospital.
  7. Hearing unofficially that Holders gone out on theoxygen with suspected broken collarbone.
  8. No I am not the team manager but from what I have witnessed this season I would love to be proved wrong. No Kurtz is a massive blow though I made those comments before it was announced that Holder was also out.
  9. Doyle can now have 6 rides. Losing both gives no advantage to either team.
  10. Just how would that benefit us? Kurtz broken collarbone. Even if by a miracle we made it through it would be a virtually pointless exercise.
  11. Delay at Poole as Brady taken to hospital. Seems Somerset got the rocket up the backside after the first leg and look better in all departments. Can’t deny it’s not deserved in all honesty. Poole blow hit and cold without a top rider and tonight looks like the turn of cold. At least it means no long trip to Kings Lynn in two weeks to get beaten. Horrible trip.
  12. Brady out of the meeting. All over now if I am honest. Outgated and out ridden so far tonight. Well done to the Rebels. We can’t compete without Kurtz. Clipped Holder and that was that. Have to sit in front of the tv next week as a neutral.
  13. Howarth, Covatti, Allen can take r/r rides. Howarth a good guest. Those three likely to score more than Summers. Pirates need to be on it from the start and not allow Somerset to get an early advantage.
  14. So where did Summers pick up this sudden injury? Somerset using every single trick in the book to strengthen up tonight. Howarth in the past can be very good around Wimborne Road.
  15. Have Kings Lynn been beaten by ten points at home this season? Are Belle Vue understrength, having lost Cook and Bewley? Kings Lynn are home and hosed.
  16. Why would the sport increase and the crowds all come back if Matt Ford quit the sport? The sports needs many more Matt Fords to get the sport out of the sick bed. It’s like saying, “For the good of British Speedway, the sooner they go (Belle Vue), the better. It is no accident that since they have moved to Kirky Lane and then onto the NSS, the sport has been on a steady decline. That is an undeniable fact”. See what I did there? About the same amount of twaddle as one of clubs post.
  17. Proof please. His season ended when an out of control Fricke smashed into him at Leicester. I was there and saw it myself. He then posted a sickening picture of the injury. He tried to make a comeback at Pila but pulled out, and didn’t ride again that season. Poole had no choice but to find a replacement but we were never going to cover for Andersen, as it so proved.
  18. Looks like the party is just about to begin. Been a good meeting but Leszno had too much fire power against the Gorzow reserves, Walasek.
