  1. Are we going to have a two pointer in the lineup?
  2. Holder has gone. Not in Poole team for 2017. Matt looking for strength in depth with decent reserves, although one will probably be a 3. Andersen to lead the team, with Jack Holder, Kyle Newman, Brady Kurtz. Plus a 3 pointer. I do hope Ellis gets himself picked up. Rye House could be a good bet. Don't hang around Adam get on the phone to promoters straight away.
  3. Agree 7 would be fine. But he has been given nearly 8. There are more experienced riders available with lower averages than Adam.
  4. A ridiculous situation for the lad. The bspa are wrecking the career of a fine British prospect by saddling him with an average too high. His average should be adjusted down by the management committee so he can get a team berth somewhere.
  5. Don't think so. I believe Brady is at Poole 2017. The bigger problem is for Holder. He has to ride here otherwise he wont have a work permit to be allowed in the country.
  6. Wonder if he will get fixed up in the uk.
  7. No point Holder considering bv. They have more important issues to deal with before forking out to Poole the loan fee on Holder then his wages/points money. If bv run I should imagine its a penny pinching lineup to scrape wins at home to keep the locals happy.
  8. Holder could be heading north. Don't think Poole bound in 2017.
  9. Hearing rumours of no Chris Holder in 2017. Too many points used up on one rider. Wish him well in his career, and hope to see him as a two time world champion.
  10. Whilst Neilsen was the best rider at the time, the racing format was certainly easier for number ones, and didn't they pick which gate they rode from? Today the EL format means they get tougher rides.
  11. Whats in a name? Its still top flight UK no matter what it is called. Pretty sure Sky would have been contacted about the name change and regardless of strength they want more teams in the league, not the bare minimum. Two new teams will please Sky I am sure. And considering they get the whole speedway season for probably the equivelent of showing Bury V Bolton, they can't moan. If they want the top stars they should pay for the privilege.
  12. It's been tried before and failed but really it is important to have a bridge between the leagues so that top of the Championsip swap with bottom of the Premier. Having a playoff is fine, but if over two legs there will only be one outcome, as the Premier team is built ten points stronger. Surely, the Championship team should be allowed to strengthen up to the same points limit as the Premier team, otherwise it will be a complete mockery of a playoff. Alternatively, the Championship team start with a 10 point advantage before the two legs. Thoughts?
  13. Not a chance in hell of cheaper admission. You might see a price freeze for a season but nothing more. I think the points limit is far too low, by at least ten points.
  14. Help another promotion who didn't even make a token repayment gesture to the council? Why should they? Clearly the bspa were well aware of the dire situation Belle Vue were in and had the sense to talk to the council. It doesn't matter who takes over as long as they are capable of fulfilling their obligations to the leage and to the council. The idea of weddings/business meetings rental etc is a dead one. And as for the pitch in the middle there must be hundreds of pitches in Manchester for use for virtually nothing. Better to put a mini speedway track in the middlevand charge for lessons.
  15. Reckon Matt should apply for Poole to join the Polish extraleague
  16. Think the points limit should have been 60 not 50. Far too weak.
  17. Question. How does the velodrome pay its rent back to the council? Rarely would have any spectators other than a few people waiting to have a go. So you turn up with your bike, pay a tenner for some laps? That wouldn't raise very much. A vending machine or cafe might bring in a few quid. But having a championship once a year is hardly going to stoke the coffers. How do they survive? Many more people should attend Belle Vue than attend a volodrome on a weekly basis.
  18. Agree but when it comes to team building we only have 50 points and a fraction of a point could mean the difference between a team berth or time on the sidelines.
  19. Isn't he 5.17 x1.4? Poole are making an announcement soon on their first riders.
  20. He is a complete troll, your post proves that. I hadn't read any of the above as I have him on block but it just goes to prove my point about him. He doesn't know his ass from his elbow and spews completely inaccurate inane anti Poole drivel. He can't resist. A couple of months ago he quit the forum but has now come back out from under the bridge like the troll he is. He gets things so wrong as he hasn't understood the new rules, and then expects others to apologise? You couldn't make it up. Lol! Still, best place for him is block. And there he will remain.
  21. I think its 0.5 too high. When you consider Milik would be available on a lower average, why would clubs go for Adam, regardless of his potential?
  22. Ellis, regardless for who he rides for next season, seems to be harshly treated having not had a pl team berth last season. Instead he ride nl. Is there a conversin between nl and pl? If so surely common sense would say, take his high nl average, convert it to what it would be in the pl, and he should use that. As an edr last season, every other edr has been treated differently as they rode pl. Ellis rode a league lower so should not be penalised. Surely the idea is to bring on up and coming Brits, not put them out of a team place due to giving them a ridiculously high el average. Come on bspa, show some common sense here please. The lads a Brit and we don't want to hold talent back, do we?
