  1. I said EXACTLY this a week ago to howls of derision. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=82240&view=findpost&p=2909659
  2. Sorry but I am not going to stop watch Polish speedway meetings on illegal streams. I doubt the Polish authorities are too bothered about a few hundred Brits enjoying their league. The SGP is available on Youtube in HD in many regions. Simply loging on through a vpn gets around the problem for UK citizens, though I myself have BT Sports.
  3. Lol! Next you will be towing the government line that any money these people make fund drugs and terrorism. But to fund crime surely you have to pay for it. Truth is I dont pay the £120 a year for the 3'oclocks because its not available to me. But I do watch the football on FS1 and BT, which I get for free due to being a customer of theirs. Indon't have to watch Sky for the football.
  4. I don't think advertisers would be in the slightest bit bothered. In fact their adverts go out to an even wider audience as there are many people who would never consider or be in a position, (out of the uk) to buy a Sky subscription. Advertisers actually benefit from illegal streams, strange as that would seem. The premier league sell their match day pass to every country except the UK. For £120 a year you have EVERY PL match screened live in HD and 4k where available. Sorry this is so far off topic. Not much Poole news at the moment while we wait for other clubs to sort themselves out.
  5. Their commercial viability might be more at risk because they ludicrously are prepared to pay literally billions for the premier football. A few folk getting a free ride through openbox or kodi is probably a knats bite on an elephant.
  6. So you are paid on how many watch the show? A type of commission so a thousand who watch on an illegal stream cost you 3 quid? Can't see how people are stealing from you if you are being paid for the work you do. You are paid for it so it is no longer your property. The company that pay you a wage or for your work might be affected but not someone who has designed a graphic. No point bleating about illegal streams. That horse has bolted from the stables years ago. The occassional streamer (one who streams the illegal content, not the viewer) might get caught once in a blue moon and banged up for 6 weeks as a deterent to others but it won't stop them. Sportsmania haven't been closed down and they take debit cards for subscriptions!
  7. Piracy has gone on for years and will forever continue. Sky, BT etc know this. But they are offshore behind vpns and its a hell of a job to get them closed. And even when they are successful the pirate will just open up again on a new server. I don't subscribe to Sky because it doesn't offer me anything I want to watch. I get BT for free. Most sport is through foreign channels. The 3 o'clock kickoffs are not Sky or BT. There's a multitude of channels offering the 3 o'clocks in HD. As this service is not available in the uk I am not ripping off any uk ppv channel. It is extremely easy to get every channel on astra for next to nothing in no time. Buy an openbox satellite receiver off ebay, then buy a Sky Gift off ebay for a tenner, put in the code and voila, all channels for free, without a kodi box. And you don't have to be tech savvy its so easy. Sky must know but don't close down the ebay gift sellers. As for my Porsche, no boasting at all. Just my daily use car at the time. Work hard, get the rewards. My priorities now are elsewhere.
  8. Remember doing Hull to Poole in three hours. Certainly wouldn't go that fast today. Madness to be honest. Asking to be banned. It was a lovely motor.
  9. Of course they do. I nearly bought one 15 years ago. Took one for a test drive as well. Ended up buying the new at the time Porsche Turbo which gave me great fun, as well as being completely reliable. The Ferrari was a pain to get in and out of, as well as very noisy. Might have turned more heads but would have cost a stack more in maintainence.
  10. Really looking forward to Good Friday. If the weather is decent we can expect two monster crowds. Somerset fans will pour into Dorset for the chance to see their team ride against the biggest club in British speedway, and I should imagine we could have hundreds of Poole fans heading the other way for the evening meeting. Could be one of the biggest crowds Somerset have ever had.
  11. People could of course watch the sgp on youtube by simply downloading a free vpn from the app store, chosing a server in the usa, log into youtube and watch no problem, using chromecast to watch it on tv in hd. Simple. I use vpn all the time as all music content blocked inthe uk but available in other countries suddenly becomes available to me. As for the Saturday 3pm kickoffs, they are in hd, and no I am not ripping off any uk company as they don't broadcast them!
  12. If the stadium is used for storing cars, then its a change of usage and the company would have to apply to the council for planning permission for this, surely.
  13. https://youtu.be/1Q1YkR9afaU One of these is what you want. I have an almost identical one. Excellent. Plus the sportsmania plugin.
  14. What utter nonsense. So you are saying no one should watch Polish speedway in this country unless they splash out on a motorised dish then try and trace where they can buy a legit card? I must be a right criminal as I watch the 3 pm Saturday football kickoffs as well. Guess the old bill will smash my door down in a dawn raid. Think I can safely sleep in my bed without that happening. You stick to your morally high ground and leave watching the Polish speedway on Sunday afternoon to me.
  15. Tell me where I can pay to watch live Extra league Polish Speedway on TV. There is no facility.
  16. Yes that would be fun to go every week but I watch it anyway.
  17. Horton could organise a coach from Brandon for those that don't have a car.
  18. Clearly the reason Leicesters team has not been announced is because if Coventry don't, the team will relocate to Leicester. The news that Lawson is not wanted shows that things have moved on out of the public domain. Moving the whole Coventry 1-7 to Leicester makes business sense. Leicester get their team, which would be better than the teams they have had to put up with in recent seasons, and Coventry fans can make the short trip up the road to watch what would effectively have been the same 1-7 they would have supported at Brandon. Clearly it would not be called Leicester Bees, as Leicester fans would certainly not want that, but it would solve the problem as to where the riders will go and give them employment. There would be other issues. If Coventry don't run, would the riders registration go over to the BSPA, or would the Coventry promotion be in a position to "loan" them to Leicester. Or, would Horton muscle Dave Darcy out of the way ( or would Darcy move aside) to move the Coventry promotion lock, stock and barrel up the road. Whatever way its looked at, there's no getting away from the fact that it will be viewed by all speedway fans as a disaster for the sport. Most of all the loss of a speedway club, which given the current circumstances has very little to no chance of returning in future years. The Coventry fans have been treated abysmally throughout this whole sorry escapade. The silence throughout "delicate nogotiations" makes very little sense. Whilst the public may not be privvy to the ins and outs of every detail, I have never experienced the complete lack of communication between a sports club and its beleaguered supporters. Negative rumours abounded this morning about the club moving lock stock and barrel to Leicester. I for one hope the rumours turn out to be false and that somehow, at the very last moment, Coventry Speedway can somehow be saved. And I am sure everyone feels the same.
  19. Well weeks from now is no good for anyone. The fixture list is due to be published and riders need to know what is going on. While fans can wait, riders cannot. Time for a statement from the BSPA. I have never known any club in any sport run in such an appalling manner.
  20. Ye gads it's quiet on this thread. Should be getting the fixture list very soon so we can start planning our trips this summer. Looking forward to visiting Somerset. Should be a great day out. And with Belle Vue running lets hope we don't have to wait until over half way through the season before we visit! Will be my first ever visits to Rye which should be fun. Just 8 weeks until Darcy's big meeting, with what looks like is going to be a superb lineup. Great meeting to start the season and let's hope the weather is kind and we get a big crowd.
  21. Then you don't know me at all. Stop having a go at people on here and aim your venom at the people who have caused this carnage. There are some very big rumours going around this morning from different sources.
  22. You might well not be happy with the idea but have no choice. Of course Leicester is only a short distance away so easy to get to if the latest rumours have any weight. I hope they are not and Poole can come up and kick your arse again.
  23. It's not good news I fear. Leicester Bees? The Coventry fans have suffered enough over this. Time to spill the news
  24. Clearly theres a lot more to this than we are privvy to. The fact that the deadline to declare has come and gone with not a peep from the Coventry promotion means things are entrenched and there's no easy fix here. Perhaps it does need a new face to head the Coventry club for things to thaw out and get the team back on track. Would Horton step aside for the good of the club, and if so, is there anyone willing to step forward to take over what seems is a poisoned chalice? Fingers crossed this can somehow be resolved.
