  1. I guess you are right as our points difference is better.
  2. This Tuesday sees the end of the league campaign for Poole at Kings Lynn. The weather is set hot with daytime temperatures due to hit a scorchio 28 degrees. No chance of a rainoff. Poole have Tungate pencilled in but will miss Andersen who only dropped a point around there last time. Tungate is certainly not a great replacement for Hans. This could be a very important meeting or have absolutely nothing hanging on it, depending on the result at Belle Vue 24 hours earlier. If Poole win at Belle Vue and get the points, and to be honest its a very long shot, then a 4 point repeat here will give us top spot and choice of who we meet in the semis. For Kings Lynn, the meeting might be the opportunity to get revenge from the A fixture. They are certainly stronger now Schlein has made way for Porsing. Thoughts?
  3. Holder is too far back to win it, like Woofinden. Doyle rides UK so gets my vote.
  4. Rather have Doyle win this year than Woffinden. Doyle rides in the EL. Woffinden uses it as some sort of stay fit league.
  5. Looking at the final again Doyle managed a clear run on the outside to gather speed. Not once was his run blocked as the rest stuck on the inside of the track so his speed just increased and he blasted past them.
  6. Well done Doyle great around the boards ride. Fully deserved. The best rider in the world at this current time.
  7. But didn't Woffinden say earlier this season he was only 74% and would step it up when it matters? Errr, perhaps that was a load of BS and he isn't as good as the two others leading him? He could always blame it on returning to the EL.
  8. Bye bye woofy world title is going down the swanny. Why did he chose yellow? Crazy as the inside has been working all night.
  9. Doyle misses the gate comes nowhere. Poor meeting in the scheme of things. Gavin has trouble in stringing a lucid sentence together. A big bug. At last a good race in heat 19.
  10. Use the online service from bt if you have bt legitimately. Just log in with user/pass and watch it.
  11. Looks like Woffindens reign as world champion is coming to an end this evening. Needs a miracle to get back into the challenge. Worst GP of the year imo. Perhaps it will liven up at the end.
  12. Doyle showing the rest how to get out of the star consistently. Be a worthy world champ who rides in the UK. Rather him than Hancock. OK here. Reboot everything.
  13. Why should we care? Is he riding for Wolves next year?
  14. There is nothing on this track. Gaters paradise at the mo. You miss the start in the words of Private William Hudson, 'game over, man'!
  15. Ok folks for those that wish to watch this from the youtube hd stream. If you are on apple ipad or iphone, download freevpn from the app store. Open it. Choose east coast usa. Connect. Go to the stream and enjoy in HD and cast it to your tv. Takes two mins and a hd stream. So far the track living up to its reputation. Flat and the inside gates are king.
  16. Got it in one. An injury on a bike. It might look exciting seeing him pull all these weird moves but that is not the way to do it. Its just asking for a crash or injury. Unless he sorts out his riding style, just like Bridger, he will only go so far. And personally I think he has got as far as he is going to go unless he learns to ride a bike correctly.
  17. Absolutely disagree. Far from me to stick up for the Lakeside reack, which I don't like, but it is in a completely different class to the atrocious Leicester track. By atrocious I don't mean by the way it is prepared, but the shape of the track which means the race is over by the second bend. I have been to Leicester 4 times now, and there won't be a fifth whilst that track is in situ. It's a waste of £17 to watch 4-5 seconds of racing per heat. A drag race to the first bend. The thought that when the riders start to head down the back straight of the first lap, the rest of the race is meaningless bar the rare engine failure or fall. Whether or not the club has no money, the one thing that will get fans through the door is the knowledge that they will be entertained with quality racing. The track just does not allow that to happen. The track alterations over the last winter do not seemed to have solved the issue either. If a new promotion is coming in and taking over the running of the speedway, it must be their priority to alter the track shape before the start of next season. If the new tenant does it Helmsley can't say no as it won't cost him. Speculate to accumulate.
  18. Not really a good enough stadium for a GP imo.
  19. Think the final will be Doyle, Hancock, Holder and Zmarzlik.
  20. He will struggle to get a ride. Pretty sure he has been looked at by Polish clubs but the youngsters over there are like rocket ships out of the start and he would be left for dead over the first 20 metres then left chasing shadows.
  21. The playoffs have been the best thing to happen to speedway in many years. Whilst Bv, Poole and Wolves might have kept their crowds up , Swindon and Lakeside would have been also rans and crowds would have dropped at these venues. A team at the top always has big crowds, as Poole have. It runs completely against the trend for BV to get tiny crowds when top of the league. Something is going on here which is seriously wrong. A new stadium, a top of the table team and no crowd. Ridiculous. Put that stadium in Poole and that grandstand would be heaving every week. We would love Wimborne Road be developed into something like BV but the fans still turn up here in our dilapidated stadium. I hope BV get a new promotion this winter. They can't do a worse job that the current people in charge.
  22. Seems to me that most people DID enjoy last nights meeting. Loads of passing and good racing on a well prepared racetrack. Do you remember a few years ago when Kings Lynn had a decent track that used to have passing? Perhaps Buster can have a word with our track man and get a few tips on how to prepare a track where riders can overtake.
