  1. The most deserving winners will be the team that wins the title. The poll shows Belle Vue as overwhelming favourites. Most fans expect Belle Vue to win the league, with Poole a distant second. So will Belle Vue choke like they did in 2015 or will they live up to their label as favourites? If it is a Poole V Belle Vue final, which as yet is far from certain, I certainly fancy Poole's chances of winning. Belle Vue have made a howler in running scared of Poole so much that they kept putting off the postponed meeting from the start of the season! It is now taking place a week before playoffs. So Poole will be there at the end of August, 12 days later and then a couple of weeks after that if we make the final. What were Belle Vue thinking? Utter madness on their behalf and it gives two meetings for our team of racers to get dialled in and show what they can do. Baring any late season injuries Pirates I believe Poole will prove to be too strong when it matters. There's no pressure on us being the underdogs.
  2. That would never happen in the sec. The event is only there for Emil to win.
  3. Tonight yes but home and away? Why are Coventry riding at home without their number one? Surely they would change the date?
  4. Can people post the poll on their twitter or facebook page to get a bigger amount of voters. Just go through results and ther's a twitter and facebook link. Ta!
  5. That's not true I think he is an exciting rider but the gap had closed by the rider in blue. Emil went for a closing gap, hit him and knocked him off. just a racing accident but I thought Emil caused the stoppage by causing rider in blue to fall. He could have throttled back an waited. He had the speed. No big deal other than to the fallen rider who was ok.
  6. An enjoyable meeting if utterly and completely meaningless. So many top europeans not involved. Still, its a couple of hours of speedway on tv so better than nothing. But considering the World Champ is a European and not involved doesn't it make this farcical?
  7. Am i wrong here but Emil went for a gap that had closed and should have gone?
  8. What a race by Andersen. Wish he could do that for Poole! Father time has caught up with him sorry to say. A spoiler at best nowdays.
  9. At least Pedersen had the decency to apologise for fencing Ljung.
  10. A meeting like that in the UK would attract a very decent crowd.
  11. Cant be more than 150 people in the crowd. Shocking worse than nl crowd.
  12. With the season two thirds done, it would be interesting to see who people think will win the Elite League this season. I am not talking about who you WANT to win the league to avoid the ABP mob, but who you think will win it. The likely playoff teams. Belle Vue. Leading the way at the top of the league. Been good on their travels but not so convincing at home. A good lineup and always have a decent reserve. Wolves. Very good year for Wolverhampton compared to recent seasons. Lindgren back to his best and PK rolling back the years. Huge home track advantage. Poole. Dominated the sport for the last decade. Solid team not quite kicking into gear so far. Always have two good reserves. Swindon. Doyle has been excellent but they perhaps lack strength in depth? Need the whole team to click. Or Lakeside. Decent home advantage. Again need all to ride well and not good travellers. Easy to say Anyone But Poole but who do you THINK will win the title in the playoffs? Poll here. http://goo.gl/VQlBYH
  13. We don't smash mant teams. Kings lynn have Iversen and some decent riders. Schlein and Batchelor have done well in the past and Lambert is improving. Poole should win this but more important is the return meeting the following day.
  14. But it is about finishing top and only Poole can catch Belle Vue. Thought Belle Vue would walk this even without Zagar considering Lakeside were without Kennett, who is always good for double figures. They woke up for the last two heats but that was after the horse had bolted. Can't understand Belle Vue fans happy with a losers point. If Poole had done this I would be gutted and angry! Poole don't do anxiety. We have been there so many times and won so many titles in recent seasons. We can't win it every year that would be ridiculous but there's nothing to say about not winning it this year. With Poole riding at Belle Vue probably three times in September, we will certainly be dialled in to the quickest way around. And with a Poole team full of racers Belle Vue are not the threat. Wolves with their trick track are a far more formidable opponent with their home track advantage. They could smash anyone around Monmore.
  15. Had a collection on Wednesday at Poole and no rider hit the main stand.
  16. Just printed off my tickets for the 29th August. Row H section C. Seems below that is sold out. Don't like the £1 booking fee though.
  17. Belle Vue V Poole Elite League B date finally announced. Monday 12th September at 7.30. That means we are there the 29th August, 12th September and hopefully near the end of September for the playoff Final. Plenty of practice before the important one. Foolish of Belle Vue to give us our two league meetings just before the playoffs.
