  1. Poole travel to Wolverhampton on Monday for the elite league B fixture. Terrible hunting ground for Poole over the years and Monday is likely to be no different. Watching the two meetings on Sky this week proves what a tricky little track it is for away riders, with falling and wobbling around getting the bends wrong to allow the home riders through. Wolves fans will defend their track obviously but would I want to watch this every week? Meh. Not sure yet whether Hans will be back or not. He does go OK around there so hope he has recovered. Not sure it will make a great deal of difference to be honest though and expect Wolverhapton to win convincingly. 53-37ish. For Pirates to get 40 has to be seen as a success. Thoughts?
  2. Stroll in the park win for Belle Vue. Not using a guest weakens Coventry too much.
  3. Until the end of the season I gather. Well that was a one sided affair. For the first few heats I thought Belle Vue were going to put up a serious frght but it didn't materialise. Poole had all bases covered in a great meeting with lots of passing and exciting racing. The track was nicely prepared but on the slicker side. Certainly a couple of the Poole riders, Ellis and Kurtz struggled more than usual but Holder, KK, Bjarne and Newman enjoyed it until the final few heats when it turned more gate and go. A big crowd, perfect weather for speedway and top notch racing. What more could you want? For Poole Holder was excellent. Ran a last in heat 15 when there was nothing to race for. Ellis didn't have a great night. Think conditions were not to his style. Buckowski was an improvement on recent for and had the race of the night. Kurtz struggled. Replaced in his last race. KK was sublime. No one could get near him. Went past Zagar like he was standing still. Untouchable. Newman battled hard for all his points. Bjarne showed some speed tonight and did very well For Belle Vue Zagar was average. S Worrall rode well tonight. Fricke was rubbish. Got a win in heat 14 when the track was spent. Nearly messed that up as well. Nicholls was their best rider and fought for every point. Cook had one blinding ride when on a t/r in heat 11. R Worrall had one win in heat 2 then went awol. Jacobs was not at the races. Of course Poole were strengthened a little by having KK in for Hans, but had Hans ridden we would still have won this imo. Over two legs I feel Poole could have the beating of Belle Vue. However we are not likely to meet them unless its the final. And getting past Wolves with that trick track is far more daunting a prospect.
  4. Woffinden has a habit of saying things to suit him. Look at the article in the Sun where he said he rode for nothing. Even Darcy Ward called him out on that rubbish. My source is correct, regardless of what is being denied. And it proves he is no team player by wanting more than 25% of the prize money. There is no I in team. There certainly is no Tai in team. But there is a me. Woffinden has bought it all on himself. A real shame.
  5. Except it means nothing as we will have to go to Wolves for the semi and they will likely stuff us. Anyway, we shall see what happens on Monday but if we get 40 I will be suprised. Weather is lovely down here in beautiful Dorset. Looking forward to a cracking speedway meeting.
  6. We know who the trolls are and I have blocked one of the main ones. Made the place acmuch better experience. What I posted on here yesterday wasn't a Rumour. A rumour is hearsay.
  7. Weathers good, should be a very big crowd. Expect it to be very tight. Lets hope the Kk that turned up last time re-appears tonight. Bet we don't see the same Fricke from Monday night. Expecting BV to take a point but we must get three to stand a chance of finishing second.
  8. Great thing to do. Just made a donation towards your going bald.
  9. Dazafl, as you know Tai can you please ask him to make a statement to clear up any speculation. Surely he wants everyone on his side and not be bad mouthed. A simple few words putting forward his case on his issues would suffice. What are his gripes? I certainly don't think it is asking much. He is a sportsman so different rules apply to people with normal jobs. His fans want to know, and it could put the doubters minds to rest. Give him a call and lets hear his reasoning.
  10. Don't eant to go with guests. Look what happened Monday night! If we lose we lose as a team and the team we have had nearly all season. Be much sweeter to win with our team not like Wolves bringing in a ringer for the playoffs. ABW.
  11. Its ridiculous but for some reason they stand there for about 4 hours waiting for the turnsyles to open.
  12. I said when I posted about it I couldn't divulge my source so therefore its up to you to believe it, or not. I am not in the habit of making up stories and if I thought I was being strung along with a load of balony I wouldn't have posted it. And yes, from what I can gather there were other issues as well, including pizza gate and team attire. And there could certainly be other issues I am not privvy to.
  13. They get prize money not points money. The equal divi has been this way for a long time, going back to the days of Screen, Louis, Loram etc.
  14. The reason Woffinden hasn't mentioned the reason why he has quit teamgb is because it might not make him look very good. I was told the exact reason on Monday from a reliable source who I will not disclose, so some on here will not want to believe this and it is their perogative. Woffinden was very unhappy with only receiving 25% of the prize money TeamGB won for coming second. The prize money has always been split evenly betwen the riders. They ride as a team, and get the rewards as a team. But Woffinden wanted nearly 60% of the prize money, with the other 40% devided up between the other three riders. His argument was that he had scored 19 points, therefore he was entitled to a percentage equivelent to that out of 32 points. (Just short of 60%) He was told that was not how it was done, and that all riders get the same, but he wouldn't have it. So there you go. There are plenty of peole who think I am a dick. Water off a dicks back. I don't know Hagonshocker any more than I know you.
  15. Watch it. Next he will be using the lines of he met some mates who were talking about you and they said your knowledge of speedway was very limited. I had that line thrown at me a few weeks ago. And right on cue there it is! Lol!
  16. The bspa did not cause this mess only one person is responsible and that man is the owner of Leicester Speedway. He can pay his fine and see if he gets his license back. No fine paid no license. He can't sell until his fine is paid as bspa will not grant a promoters license to a new promoter. Its a mess which will only end one way.
  17. If Belle Vue win at our place tomorrow they may well pick us for a semi final clash.
  18. But Bjarne could have come in anyway as a reserve change. It was Middlos decision fo Kyle to come to tapes and he could have been swapped out before the race. By the way nice to meet you on Monday BB.
  19. The biggest league gate you have had this season is against Poole on Monday. Even though we are a long way from Manchester, Poole would bring a lot of fans for the final. The place will be full regardless of whether it is Poole or Wolverhampton.
  20. Please pleae please Swindon promotion, take your time to get the track right. Is Cardiff the right shape? Thought the Warsaw shape was better for a small track. For gods sake get it right. You have a blank canvas. No excuses.
  21. I would like to point out I am not critisizing the quality of the track prep. It is the overall shape which is the issue. As the club are almost in receivership and not paying wages, there clearly isn't a penny spare. What can happen next year? Hemsley has burnt his bridges ala Trump and is a goner. Even if he pays the 7000 fine they won't let him back. And he says they can stick the fine where the sun dont shine! So any prospective buyer cant buy the place as the bspa have said no new promoters lisence will be granted until the fine is paid. Would a new promoter who is only a tennant be prepared to spend thousands on a new track to improve the racing? The place is doomed.
  22. Yes we were not interested. But I would have been just as scathing as I was on my last visit even if we had won. Perhaps the crap track was highlighted even more because we visited BV earlier. Get the dozers in and rip it out.
  23. The only purpose built stadium other than Leicester is Belle Vue or Kings Lynn.
  24. Regardless of which bend its clearly made no difference whatsoever. What is desperately needed is a new promotion with some cadh to come in and put in a brand new track. The current one is only good for gating practice.
