  1. Spoke to ref. No Huckenbreck, reserves only to take rides. Morely at 4. Lynn have two decent reserves tonight.
  2. Yesterday I was in Cheltenham then went on to Watlington, near Oxford, before heading back down the A34 to Poole for last nights meeting. I was very unfortunate to witness the pile up on the north bound side of the A34 in which three children aged 11,11 and 13, along with a 45 year old woman were killed instantly. I passed the scene about two minutes after the crash and I can say it has disturbed me quite badly. Only today I heard that theee of the victims were kids my daughters age. As a grown man I can say I shed more than a couple of tears after hearing this. God bless their young souls.
  3. Starry is not posting on here at the moment. Anyway from what I can see Poole gave made no comment whatsoever about the signing of Woffinden. But why should they? It is a legal signing under the current rules so I cant see why it wont be ratified, even though I personally think he should be assessed to eight.
  4. Coventry fans were saying exactly the same. Many stayed away. Coventry won it on the last bend. The sport is many things but predictable it is not. Think it will be quite close.
  5. Nah but Ive stuck that irritant toe rag Gavan on block and the forum is better already. I dont have to read his inane blabberings any longer. Can anyone read this?😆😆
  6. Well i have got here. Sitting in pizza hut having an early dinner before trundling over the the stadium. Roads are dry and its a bit breezy not no risk of a rain off. Hope we can get a win for a change but take nothing for granted. The boys need to be right up for it to get a result. One glance at Lakeside v Poole shows what can happen with a little complacency.
  7. A 4 point win tonight will bring us to within 5 points of Belle Vue with three meetings in hand.
  8. Just before the playoffs? And Bjarne is hardly Woffinden. You will have to do better than that. Anyway said what I think. Off to watch some speedway.
  9. Holder was in his prime when the Coventry airfence failed to do its job. Are you Gavan in disguise? Haven't you read earlier posts? Hancock replaced a badly injured Holder. I did say it was my opinion. Sure it is inside the rules. But it still stinks the place out. He said he didn't want to ride here, but then comes into the Wolves team and the move basically decides the outcome of 2016. As he hasn't ridden here for 2 years he should be re assessed to an 8, which all GP riders come in on. His old average should be junked.
  10. Of course riders with genuine injuries should be able to be replaced during the playoffs. Cost Poole a title when Darcy got beaten up. Agree a deadline of July would be good to stop this happening. Woffinden can't be arsed to do a full season, only coming in when it suits his diary, but his presence of coming in at the death will have a saying on the whole season. Great for Wolverhampton, but it turns the whole EL season into a cess pit.
  11. One thing is for sure. If Wolverhampton make the final against Belle Vue I shall be cheering on the Manchester mob. They have stuck with their 1-7 and said no to Woffindens advances.
  12. And what reliable source is that then? A mate down the pub? I would have thought the Belle Vue promotion are far from happy with this as well.
  13. Perhaps you need to get in a decent promoter rather than one who is happy with an "also ran" team.
  14. Hancock came in to replace Chris Holder who was smashed up at Coventry. He didn't come in to replace a lesser rider.
  15. True fans support their team. I have been to every Poole meeting this year bar Lakeside which I hugely regretted missing. A win tonight is far from guarenteed. Poole haven't travelled very well this year. You Lynn fans need to get behind your team. Worse than bleating Coventry fans.
  16. Well this signed turns Wolves into playoff semi finialists to clear favourites over Belle Vue who must be gutted after all the hard work they have done in 2016. To Stick with the same one to seven all season, only to see another club bring a ringer in at the death to take the title away must irk. Pooles chances of reaching the final now have reduced dramically. It's in the rules but is hardly within the spirit of the sport. Personally bringing in ringers for the playoffs like this should be against the rules. Just my opinion.
  17. Rain due to clear to leave a dry afternoon and evening. I am coming up and hope I am not the only one there. Well I wont be ad I know of at least 15 other Poole fans making the arduous trip to Lynn. This is now a complete banana skin for Poole. We should win this I admit, but stranger things have happened. All those Coventry fans who said exactly the same when they got thumped at Poole then battled to a victory are probably still cursing that they stayed away. In times like this Lynn fans need tomcome out and support their team. Hoping for 4 points to secure our place in the playoffs.
  18. Why would Iversen be missing tomorrow? They will surely bring in a guest for Iversen if he is missing.
  19. We thrashed Coventry 60-29 then went to their place and got turned over. Iversen is back, they will also have the Dane. Lambert, Schlein and Batchelor will all do far better. 4 points either way and I will be moaning about another crap performance by Hans. (Hope not)
  20. Well what can I say about that? I go to speedway to watch was is meant to be two relatively evenly matched teams racing flat out to entertain the fans. Well, we got that on one side. Poole went out and did their job. But the opposition were rubbish to a man. When Schlein broke down at the tapes, he walked slowly back to the pits, knowing full well he had to go off 15 or there would be three riders. He couldn't be arsed to come out leaving poor Morely to battle alone. A good crowd, including two very sorry looking Kings Lynn fans witnessed an absolute drubbing. Having said that the Poole boys didn't gate every heat and had to battle through quite often. For Poole Holder was immaculate. Led on a couple of occassions but in the lead by the end of lap one. Ellis was very good. Saw off Harris quite easily and should have beaten Lambert and Batchelor but chose the wrong line off bend two and the two kl riders rode him out team riding. Buck and Hans did their jobs, Kurtz was motm as far as I am concerned. Rode the best I have seen him in a while. Newman rode superb. Bjarne was untouchable. For Kings Lynn Harris was poor but for one ride. Schlein had one good ride when he got around Newman. But poor overall Batchelor ditto. Just couldn't live with the Poole boys Lambert had one win with both Buck and Hans climbing all over him. But that was all he did. Both reserves were outclassed. Morely tried his heart out but Newman and Bjarne were too good for both Kings Lynn boys. So three points to move us into second in the league. Would the score have been much different had Iversen rode? Doubt we would have hit 60. But I don't think Huckenbeck would have troubled our lads. It will be totally different tomorrow.
  21. Didnt want to let anyone down. Just won his third race. Worse still was Schien whose bike packed up at the start. He couldnt ne bothered to come out off fifteen.
