  1. Remember Darcy riding there and couldn't pass the reserves and second strings. Scored 4 or 5. He was throwing his bike trying to get passed. Needs more than Middlo's expert guidance. Needs to gate.
  2. From what I have seen of Palm Toft impresses me. But is he a gater? We need someone quick out of the start at this track. The track alterations during the close season seem to have made no difference and it still is mostly a from the gate track. Witnessed three meetings live and seen four passes in 45 heats after the second bend. Steve Worral guested for us last time and scored just three. Guess we will know in the next coulle of days. Forecast isn't going to get in the way. Light rain morning dry afternoon and evening.
  3. So you clearly know more than the majority of us. Can you please tell uscall Woffindens gripes as he seems unwilling to do so.
  4. Tai Woffinden has today issued a press release stating he will not be riding for TeamGB in 2017. After snubbing the EL this season, and only returning due to a lack of fixtures abroad, questions need to be asked. Does British Speedway need Tai Woffinden? Does TeamGB need Woffinden? Does Woffinden think he is bigger than British Speedway? Personally, I believe it's time we moved on without him. Just like Kevin Pietersen and English Cricket, he might be the best, but the game still continues with others taking his place. From what I have been told from various and reliable sources, it was not harmonious in the TeamGB camp, even though Rosco did his absolute best. Trying to get the team to go out together was a problem, as well as pizza for the mechanics. Yes he is currently World Champion and our best rider. But in his statement he says he is not riding in 2017 and may consider a return the following season. Excuse me? Is he the team manager now? I know this is a difficult situation for Rosco but I would say enough is enough. Bring in young British riders who are desperate to represent their country. Bates, Ellis, Garrity, Worrall would have done anything to have ridden in Manchester. Sure we will fail. So what? Learning from failure brings success. We should not be dictated to by a rider not bothered to ride in this country anyway! Does TeamGB need Woffinden? Hell no, blood the youngsters. The support from the fans will be there regardless. So does British Speedway need Tai Woffinden? Not in my opinion. Shame he is coming back to mess up what has been quite an exciting season ( and I mean this with no disrespect whatsoever to Wolverhampton who have done nothing wrong) Does he think he is bigger than British Speedway? Clearly by his statement, with a might be back, might not. It is utterly frustrating when Britain has a two times world champion and there have been zero benefits for our Speedway nation.
  5. Lol! Where have I ever said I am more than just a terrace fan? You have seemed to think I have put myself on some type of pedestal which is ridiculous. I follow my team and am entitled to an opinion. As I said earlier I will never change the way I post so if you don't like it, block me. Its easy. We are clearly at different ends of the spectrum. Expect the forum troll Gavan to be posting shortly after this. It's wonderful not being able to see his dirge.
  6. So he releases a press release where he says absolutely nothing other than he wants to keep it private and not discuss it in public. So if that was the case why the ranting tweet in the first place? He can't have it both ways. A useless and pathetic press release which basically is just stoking the flames for the fans left wondering what the hell is going on. If he has that many fans left. This guy needs a PR man.
  7. Depends how happy bt have been with showing the GP series. Only they will know their viewing figures. If they are decent enough it might help persuade them to have a go at taking the speedway from Sky. They would have to come in with an improved offer but two stations bidding for EL speedway is exactly what is needed to bring in a decent sum of money. Personally I would love BT to get the contract. Sky have done very little to help promote the sport and even their adverts for what is coming up next month doesn't mention the sport. It's used as a cheap filler. They spend much much more on one premier league game than the whole contract for the speedway. A fresh BT presentation, keeping Nigel and Kelvin, would be great. Yes less people would watch but we don't hear the rugby clubs moaning their team is on BT rather than sky. It was a hell of a meeting. Very predictable ending though.
  8. And a lovely place It is too. Been there loads of times.
  9. You can't even get that right! I said you are in the minority NOT the majority. I post how I like, not how you would like me to post. I will not stop the way I post so jog on sunshine. If you don't like it stick me on blocked user. Its very easy to do. My "blinkered and biased" view is my personal view and if you don't like it, well tough for you. It's a forum for different opinions. I will continue to post how I wish. You are NOT the forum police. And stop making up rubbish to back up your ludicrous rant. 'All Poole fans this and all Poole fans that' is made up rubbish in your head! He clearly doesn't know his arse from his elbow and has been gunning for an argument with me for weeks Lisa.
  10. Is there going to be a press release from Woffinden. Doesn't say anything about him issuing one. Trouble is he seems to think he is bigger than the whole sport in this country. If he thinks the BSPA will be pushed around by him he will be in for a shock. A real shame we have a two times British World Champion who is not universally popular. Oh for another Mark Loram.
  11. We saw Pepe in the UK. Average at best. He is a better rider in his old age.
  12. That was one thrilling meeting with it won by Dudek in 14. Pepe like Hancock just holds back the years. Best form of his long career.
  13. Nothing to do with Poole. Matt said, There are changes being made in British speedway now and, clearly, Tai Woffinden going to Wolverhampton is going to make them stronger. It is a very good move from them and one which is going to put them in the mix and give them a tremendous boost.
  14. No they agree with Chris4gillian. I am in the wrong. Lol.
  15. What gets my goat is if you dont agree with Woffinden you are not a true fan. True fans will agree with him. What a load of tosh.
  16. Well Mr Woffinden how about giving your side of the story, instead of a childish cryptic tweet which just causes anger and frustration? How about doing a press release where fans can judge and discuss bith sides of the argument? I class myself as a true fan. I was at Manchester cheering on TeamGB. But your tweet and general attitude towards British Speedway makes it hard to like. Instead of posting tweets that just stir the pot how about letting fans of the sport hear your side of the story? Then, we can make a judgment of whether you are hard done by or just an attention seeker. Well Rory, perhaps you can tweet what is going on? Seems those in the know want to keep it amoungst themselves.
  17. Rubbish. You are in the minority and know it. Of course its an opinion but good god man you won't find many Poole fans having your point of view. No matter what rider no matter what club the fans of that club would want their riders turning out for their club first and not some individual in another country. And I bet I speak for MOST speedway fans of ALL EL clubs who would find their team in the same situation.
  18. Perhaps that is it. Or perhaps they are not interested in his five year plan.
  19. Mugged of what? Dies he mean mugged off? Didn't he get his fee? Sounds like he has thrown a hissy fit because of how crap he was on Saturday.
  20. He would have got paid riding on Saturday for Poole, with a lot less travelling. It's not as though Hans has a massive personal following on the individual front. His fan base comes from the clubs he currently rides for. Can't fathom any Poole fan who would be happy with him missing next Saturday.
  21. As if we are meant to know what he is on about with criptic twitter messages. A full press release might help.
  22. Read my post. I didn't say all Poole fans. You and a few others in a minority clearly don't agree, but ask a random 100 Poole fans if they are happy that Hans Andersen is missing for Poole on Saturday at Leicester and you would struggle to find many that would be agreeing with you. If you think Hans missing for Poole on Saturday is absolutely fine, then you are one strange supporter of Poole.
  23. Perhaps I ws over the top saying he should be sacked. But very disappointed when there are 4 very important points to be gained and we are doing everything in our power to not get them. Really on this I believe occasion he should put the team before personal glory. If it was a meaningless fixture then fair enough but its not. Belle Vue must be laughing all the way to an untroubled top spot.
