  1. Clearly not as good as he was ten years ago but still very decent. Watched his televised meeting in Poland last week and he was very good. For a rider who has maintained his place in all leagues it shows his professionalism in the sport. Has a 6.55 average in a tougher league so capable of that easily enough and a rider who can beat the best. I had a good chortle at your post stevebrum. First sentence ridiculing the signing and saying it is a backward step as he is in decline. Then in the next sentence you say he can't be as bad as Watt so its a win. Lol! Yep a dreadful call at the time. Probably a money saving excercise though.
  2. Not being an afficiado of the finer rules, I am sure Matt Ford hasn't broken any. He has given the Kings Lynn promotion 48 hours notice that he is using Robson, plenty of time to call 'foul' and stop Robson being used if against the rules. Lynn have no reason whatsoever to ride under protest.
  3. The reason Hortonhad is moan about Matt in the Star is because Coventry wanted to sign Bjarne and a deal was being done. It looks like Watt's performances didnt i prove so Matt decided Bjarne to replace Davey, scuppering Hortons deal and leading to him making the comments in the Star.
  4. Sorry Davey has gone but he was really struggling with personal issues which seriously affected his racing. I hope he gets his head together and gets fixed up soon. Welcome back to Bjarne. No doubt this makes us a much stronger team as he can score anywhere. Guess he debuts in 48 hours time. Good stuff tinged with sadness over Davey.
  5. Crowd was half of what is was a couple of years ago when I last went there (excluding playoffs) Probably about 25-30 Poole fans made the long trip.
  6. Absolutely gutted with the news about Kyle. Makes us so much weaker I am hoping for rain. Should be a fairly simple three points for Lynn but I am hoping the boys dig a bit deeper than they did on Friday. When are we going to put a full team out away from home? First Brady, then Noddy now Kyle. Hope the lad gets well soon as we are going to miss him big time and he is good around Lynn. Alf Busk? Thought he retired years ago.
  7. But Coventry crowds are far too small to pay for such a rider. Half the Coventry fans have already deserted the club judging by the size of the crowd on Friday. Why would Horton want to splash out thousands when theres no one there to watch?
  8. Such ancient history, but I guess that's all Coventry fans can harp back to. As. a Swindon Town FC fan, its like harping back to the Div 1 playoff Final at Wembley against Leicester. We won and went up. Leicester stayed put. A great day. Look at the difference now. Same really with the speedway EL since 2010.
  9. Excuse me for not being up together on rules but I thought you could only have a guest for your number one?
  10. I cant say before the official source. Mick Horton was vague in the star and it wasn't clear what he was on about but guess things will liven up on here soon. Not trying to be I know but you dont ner ner ner. Just not rocking any boats.
  11. I now know why Mick Horton had a go at Matt Ford in the Star last week. He said he doesn't like the way Matt Ford does business, but it was Matt Fords perogative and Horton should know this.
  12. Could there be a little rider after the Horton honey?
  13. Tell you what SCB, how about Davey to Cov in place of Woryna and Bjarne to Poole? Davey can then reduce his average and come back next season as a second string. Sounds fair to me.
  14. Cracking meeting tonight.Gollob winding back the years to show he still has it, and Buckowski with a classic heat 15 to top it off. Janowski and Woffinden both looked rusty. Wonder why?
  15. Why not? Solid professional guy. Worth 8 points a meeting easy in this EL.
  16. Still lots of points in the guy. Suprised he hssnt ended up in the EL as he is better than many over here.
  17. Bjarne? Ok not as good as he was but still banging in good scores in Poland. And still popular with the Poole Fans.
  18. Have to agree. We can all talk the talk but he needs to walk the walk. I hope Matt has said to him that his performance at Kings Lynn will have to be good or its gardening leave time.
  19. No idea vv as i take very little interest on the nerdy side of the sport.
  20. Yes and you all were wrong. I have followed Poole for many years and see the quirks in our team while others perhaps don't. Poole rarely win by a big score away from home and last night I could see it would be very close way before the start. The loss of Kurtz swung the pedulum towards Coventry, as I posted from the car park before the meeting. Again I was correct. If you don't see this it's not my problem but people who rant and then are proved completely wrong normally have the decency to apologise and move on. You on the other hand pretend you were right all along, and would rather be ridiculed than back down and apologise when accused me of being unknowledgeable and no nothing about the sport. In doing so you prove exactly what you are.
