So Poole have to dumb down? Read it all now.

Cloud Cuckoo Land, lisa. Just the usual anti Poole drivel. Just a couple of posts back he was on about Newman not doing well away from home yet his scores prove otherwise. He was trying to say the inclusion of Bjarne over Watt negates what Bates will score, yet he completely misses the point. Watt no longer rides for us so comparing Watt and Newman with Bjarne and Bates is meaningless. What should be compared is what Bjarne and Newman would have scored compared to Bjane and Bates.

If this is the case then why did you agree with a poster earlier on who suggested Watt should be rested for a couple of weeks?

If it was aimed at me I am certainly not touchy. I am happy with the team and its potential for continued success. What I don't like is idiot posters coming on to the Poole thread just to throw made up abuse at my team. Gavan has been told on several occassions over the last day that Poole were within the rules at the time when booking Robson. Alan Jones posted this on a couple of occassions yet Gaven still accused Poole of cheating when it was clear to any level headed person that the club were clearly working within the rules. Because of his hatred of Matt Ford he is incapable of rational debate on the Poole threads and so therefore is only here as a troll.

And there you have it. I make a post about the situation clearly and thoughtfully, and the reply from you is based on agression, bias and hatred. Your moronic reply sums you up perfectly and why many on here take your posts as meaningless and just plain bitter. It is impossible to have a discussion with a blinkered person with no other objective other than to throw about abuse on the Poole thread.

Rick Frost is main team sponsor so the Club benefit there. But he has no say in how the club is run.

Matt Ford expects and normally gets 100% from his riders. He pays them well and on time. In return the rider commits to giving his all to the cause. How other promotions work with their riders is their concern. When a rider signs for Poole he will know that anything less than full commitment will not be tolerated. Middlo demands it in the pits, and Matt demands it for the fans and for the sponsors. Any slacking will be picked up on pretty quickly. Dave Watt brought his personal problems to work. Yes of course it is hard to switch off your feelings but most of us in life have had painful breakups. It's part of life. There will always be someone else to share your life with a little further down the road. You just have to man up rough it and the pain does ease with time. The trouble was his performances cost Poole at least 6 points. He rode appallingly at Lakeside, a track he should have scored double figures at, and at Brandon scored a measly two points. If Poole had somehow managed to win both meetings he might have had a stay of execution, but he cost the team and Matt won't tolerate that. People on here moan and curse about Poole's win at all cost mentality but Matt Ford is not in it to make up the numbers and until another promoter comes along who has the money and ability to compete, Matt will keep doing what he is doing.

I would liked to have come up for this but its just to risky to make such a long journey with the weather unsettled as it is. At least if it does go ahead I can watch it on tv. The track got the best possible watering yesterday with the rain and that always helps produce good racing. Lets hope we dont get one of those very heavy showers I experienced yesterday in Gloucestershire. One thing is guarenteed if it goes ahead. It will be the best meeting so far this season on Sky. It can't be as bad as the first meeting we saw. I think we are in for a thriller.

Get yourself down to Poole. Great crowd, good racing, a real buzz about thd place. Plenty I would change at Poole as well to improve things but I am not the promoter.

True enough but he should have moved faster.

Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?
Steve Shovlar replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Agree with that. His charity work has been exemplary. My only gripe with the guy is he cant be arsed to ride here. If he is tired, then drop Sweden. Riding for the right EL club would not only raise his profile but also attract quality UK sponsorship. As it is he is almost an unknown over here.
