  1. I cant say before the official source. Mick Horton was vague in the star and it wasn't clear what he was on about but guess things will liven up on here soon. Not trying to be I know but you dont ner ner ner. Just not rocking any boats.
  2. I now know why Mick Horton had a go at Matt Ford in the Star last week. He said he doesn't like the way Matt Ford does business, but it was Matt Fords perogative and Horton should know this.
  3. Could there be a little rider after the Horton honey?
  4. Tell you what SCB, how about Davey to Cov in place of Woryna and Bjarne to Poole? Davey can then reduce his average and come back next season as a second string. Sounds fair to me.
  5. Cracking meeting tonight.Gollob winding back the years to show he still has it, and Buckowski with a classic heat 15 to top it off. Janowski and Woffinden both looked rusty. Wonder why?
  6. Why not? Solid professional guy. Worth 8 points a meeting easy in this EL.
  7. Still lots of points in the guy. Suprised he hssnt ended up in the EL as he is better than many over here.
  8. Bjarne? Ok not as good as he was but still banging in good scores in Poland. And still popular with the Poole Fans.
  9. Have to agree. We can all talk the talk but he needs to walk the walk. I hope Matt has said to him that his performance at Kings Lynn will have to be good or its gardening leave time.
  10. No idea vv as i take very little interest on the nerdy side of the sport.
  11. Yes and you all were wrong. I have followed Poole for many years and see the quirks in our team while others perhaps don't. Poole rarely win by a big score away from home and last night I could see it would be very close way before the start. The loss of Kurtz swung the pedulum towards Coventry, as I posted from the car park before the meeting. Again I was correct. If you don't see this it's not my problem but people who rant and then are proved completely wrong normally have the decency to apologise and move on. You on the other hand pretend you were right all along, and would rather be ridiculed than back down and apologise when accused me of being unknowledgeable and no nothing about the sport. In doing so you prove exactly what you are.
  12. Neither is the UK. He is an Aussie so its the club with first dibs on him. Not Poole in this instance.
  13. Totally agree. The gods certainly worked against us last night. We haven't yet got our act together away from home and last night was a catalogue of mistakes to throw away what should have been four easy points. We are clearly a far superior team to Coventry but silly mistakes coupled with under performing from one of our side cost us dearly. No idea Lindgren had a puncture because he had ridden brilliantly in heat 15 to pass Harris twice. Thought is was a case of picking the wrong option off the final bend. Luckily for me I was out of the stadium before everyone got jammed in and home at 11.40. Matt Ford was there last night and will clearly not be happy with Watts performance. Matt is not shy of making changes even if it is a Poole stalwart and club captain. He did it to Boycey and Watt must know he is living on borrowed time. He is clearly bringing his personal issued onto the race track and not only is it costing him financially but it is costing the team league points. Either take a break with a month out or get your act together. Hard but true.
  14. And in that one post you have completely exposed yourself for what you are. Nothing more needs to be said. We all see you as what you really are. Anyone with a modicum of common courtesy would have put their hands up and apologised for being wrong.
  15. Smack on the money. Smack on the money. No excuses. I am bang on the money. You called me a fool and a troll. Yet i was spot on. I await your apology, though you seem the type of person who wont let your ego do that. Your posturing on here has come up and bitten you right on the arse. Of course i I know nothing about speedway and Poole. Well it looks like I was the only one then, doesnt it. I await your apology though doubt you have the guts to say you were completely WRONG. Doubt it he will make up some feeble excuse that he was right all along, even though I was spot on. Thank you. And the excuses start. Trying to change the subject. You were wrong. I was right. I await your apology. Come on we are all waiting for it. Gavan, come on apologise. Never called me a troll or lack g intelligence? Read further up this post. Await an apology. And I have just driven 2.30 minutes home. How do you expect me to make a report? Steering wheel in one hand phone in the other? I await your apology. Right onto the meeting. Poole started well in the first few heats when there was some grip in the track, but the predicable 8-1 undid all the good work Poole had done to build up a lead. Throwing away safe points also cost us the win. A nailed on 5-1 ended in a 4-2 when Lindgren had an ef off the last bend. Would have been enough to have seen us over the line. Andersen hitting some grip on the third bend of lap three hurtling him to the fence and allowing Garrity through, Buckowski hitting a rut which threw him off the back when in a points scoring position. No excuses as these things do happen, but after the 8-1 the track was very slick, Coventry riders gated, went high and wide and Poole riders couldn't get close. Heat 15 was the best race with guest Lindgren having a go but he decided to go out wide off te last bend and Harris had already decided to go low. If Lidgren had hogged the line Harris would have been blocked. Those the breaks. But the reason we lost isn't Lindgren, who was an adequate guest for Holder, or Kurtz, whose rides only mustered 6 points (he scored paid 10 in the ES), or Buckowski falling. Davey Watt is riding without fight or passion. He doesnt seem to have the bottle going into the first bend, is off the pace, and pulls up before the heat is finished. Our captain should be fighting every battle and leading from the front, but personal issues have got competely in the way and he is letting not only himself but the whole club and its fans. Poole never win big away from home. It was obvious it was going to be close, even if I was the only one to see it. Coventry riders battled and won. Yes the tr gave them the three extra points to win but those are the rules. Well done to them. We certainly missed Kurtz tonight. Holder was covered but when you have a gaping hole inthe middle of the team with Watt being awol and r/r, it puts too much pressure on the others.
  16. Looks like As a no nothing I am going to be right onmy prediction of four either way tonight. Coventry charging now.
  17. To say we are stronger with a guest and r/r is ridiculous. Our resrves will have to ride against heat leaders for starters. Still dry here but meant to be steady rain in Warwick.
  18. Good photos Rob. So close. Gutted Poole are not there next week.
  19. Really dont inderstand the pessimism from some of the Coventry fans. Lakeside saw us off so why can't Coventry? Rather than get out the white hanky you should be cheering on your side. Did Swindon fans think they could beat one of the favourites last night? They did it convincingly. Same could happen tonight, though I hope not. not a lot but his first ever visit.
  20. Sitting in the Brandon car park eith a few spots of rain on the windscreen. Nothing much and hopefully it wont be bad. The rain is meant to be pushing away south later. Gutted we are missing Kurtz. He was excellent on Wednesday and to have to cover him with Buck and the reserves weakens us somewhat. Still think this us going to be very close, with the loss of Brady swinging the pedulum back towards Coventry.
  21. Rules cant be changed mid season. Oh wait, they did it to make sure Poole didn't make the playoffs a few years ago....... The same rules apply to all clubs. Riders will move around the team in every club so what's the issue?
