  1. I believe sparkafag is being sarcastic Lisa. Ignore the good riders he beats, (many) and the points he scores, (many) and what would you have? Its the same as saying ignore all the goals Messi scores........
  2. So in your book he can't win! He beat Swiderski and Lawson from the back. Riders of much more experience. But he should be beating them with ease? Surely thats a sign of a rider improving? What has he got to do to show he is improving, win the British Final, get the Cardiff Wildcard and go through the card to win the British GP? He is no second coming but is capable in the future of being a good second string or third heat leader. Many on here see Robert Lambert as the next superstar but I have not seen much to show thats the case. Hope I am wrong. When Newman moves up he will take scalps. He will abeat riders like MadsK, Morris, Garrity, Swiderski, Josh G, Frike, King etc. You should be cheering on any young determined Brit regardless of who he rides for. I even wish Garrity to improve (except when he rides against us) Newman is extremely determined and when I spoke to him pre season he was disappointed with his form last year and saw 2016 as a big year for him. It seems to me and many on here you are hoping he will fail so you can say, "I told you so". And thats no way to support local home grown riders.
  3. Latest forecast is a dry day with the occassional shower. More rain about today. Should be OK.
  4. To pass off the first bend riders normally dive under and then drift out and push the other rider our ala Janowski, Ward, Holder. Rarely see a rider after lap one bend one try and hog the inside all the way around and make a pass when the faster racing line is further out. although Hans did it last night to a Lakeside rider and nearly fenced him down the. Back straight to make sure the move stuck.
  5. No. There are others also using periscope, one of them does the Poole online podcasts. Its a shame its being looked at in this manner as it will not stop fans coming to meetings but could bring in people new to the spor. hey ho no more filming.
  6. We now have the Hammers V Pirates return A fixture after tonights meeting at Wimborne Road. I think the result of this meeting will be very different to tonights. For starters the Lakeside boys are very solid around the tight turns of their track and some of the Poole riders may struggle big time. Holder is OK around the track but can have the duff ride there. Kurtz has probaby never ridden there. Watt is a track specialist but is in terrible form at the moment. Buckowski scored big tonight but around Lakeside? Doubt he will score many. Hans should do ok as he must have been there dozens of times. Newman is usually pretty good there, and Ellis is pretty good there. I personally think the Hammers will take some beating around their own place and expect them to get revenge for tonight. 48-42 to Lakeside. Thoughts?
  7. The meeting started at 7.30 and was wrapped up at 8.56. Well done to Paul Carrington for not keeping the crowd standing around in the bitter cold wind. A meeting full of thrilling racing and the scoreline doesnt show the closeness of the racing. Heat times were a good two seconds slower than usual but that didn't ruin a meeting that would have gone down a treat on Sky. A good crowd, good racing, a Lakeside team that came for a fight and what more could you want? For Poole Holder was solid. Kurtz is getting better by the week. Still learning the racing lines. I could see he was trying to pass going on the inside entering bend one. That wont work and try as he did, Swiderski was not going to be caught using that line. He will learn soon enough and is very talented. Watt was woeful. A confidence crisis going on? Certainly looks like it and was wobbling arounf worse than our reserves. Needs to get his head sorted. Buckowski was rider of the night. Fast and passing riders like they were standing still. Best I have seen him ride. Hans started slowly (late arrival) but had some super tussles, the best with Jonsson where they went over the line with a tyre width between them. Ellis battled well. Not as good as previous weeks but still good. Newman was excellent and but for lifting in heat two would have scored a max. Lakeside. Jonsson was excellent entertainment and never gave up. Swiderski had a gate and win with the two Poole riders climbing all over his back wheel. Nilsson has had better meetings here but got a win. Bridger was poor. Never really got stuck in at all. The northern lad with the Skornicki haircut, Lawson thats it, didn't do as well ad expected. Kerr was Ok but has scored better at Poole. Have to feel a little sorry for Mear. Nowhere near a point then, in the second reserve race he pops out and is leading and Lakeside are on a 5-1, before Newman comes charging through, then a lap later Ellis comes from last to second. A bigger win than I anticipated but still a meeting that was full of entertainment. The return on Friday will be a very different story, not by entertainment, but by scoreline.
  8. DKyle would have probably have had a max tonight but lifted badly at the start of heat two and had to battle to get a point. After that he was excellent.
  9. More fantastic racing in heat ten. Every heat has been top notch. I kid you not when I say this has been some of the best action I have seen in a long time.track is slow but producing the type of racing we all hope for. With the exclusion of Watt who has been rubbish.
  10. Brilliant racing tonight. Passing and repassing in virtually every heat. Heat times are slower but some fantastic action.
  11. They are announcing at the parade that anyone caught streaming with Periscope will have a permanent ban from all speedway stadiums. No more filming.
  12. Been raining here quite heavily this morning but its now moved away and the sun is trying to break through. The radar shows more showers to the west which will come through but fingers crossed it dorsnt develop like yesterday when it poured down most of the afternoon over Poole. Interesting back page of the 68p! Daily Echo. Talking about other el clubs Matt Ford says, "They get no sympathy from me", and that clubs have made a rod for their own backs. Guess it reads to get all the usual suspects up in arms about our promotion and that Poole will only be racing ourselves soon, but its a good read.
  13. No you are not hearing what I am saying. the ref excluded Kildemand not Dudek.
  14. Dudek did nothing wrong. He pulled over and raised his hands to signal an ef. Unfortunately Kildemands view was blocked and he didnt see Dudek until it was too late and the crash ensued. The cause of the crash is Dudek, as he stopped racing due to an ef and not Kildemand who was the innocent victim of Dudeks ef. So Dudek is to blame for causing the stoppage, as if he was under power the crash would not have occured. I was watching it live and was disgusted at the refs call. Whether Dudek was still rolling or not he was clearly not under power and therefore the cause of the whole incident.
  15. Jonathon, heres a question for you that many would like to know the answer to. At the agm or other bspa meetings, does Matt Ford rule the roost? Are other promoters scared of him and do as he beckons? If he says jump do they say, how high sir? Many non Poole fans on here believe that Matt Ford is the root of all evil in the sport and the reason the sport is in the position it is today due to his win at all costs mentality and the constant building of quality sides. What are your thoughts from someone who was on the inside of the BSPA?
  16. Always amuses me when I read people post theres naff all to do in Poole. I should imagine theres exactly the same to do in Poole as there is in any other town in this country. Top quality resteraunts, cinemas, theatres, night clubs, pubs, shops, even a Lidl and Aldi. Plus blue riband beaches, a quay, watersports, scuba diving, fishing, Harry Redknapp and the other multi millionaires on Sandbanks, a nudist beach for those that want to let it all flop out, Paragliding to flow over the top of them and perv, as well as a premier league football club 5 miles down the road. I should imagine most other towns dont even come close to what Poole and Bournemouth offer. Yep. Naff all to do. Oh, and a speedway club that has been doing rather well for the last few years. As for Wednesday, it should be reasonably close.
  17. Yes. Dudek was the cause of the stoppage by having an ef. That was proved by lifting his arm. He did nothing wrong but Kildemands view was blocked until it was too late resulting in the crash caused by Dudeks ef. How can it be otherwise?
  18. So Dudek, who caused the carnage with an ef, is allowed in the rerun while innocent Kildermand is excluded? What utter nonsense.
  19. Dudek was not under power so cause of stoppage. Kildemand did nothing wrong and was innocent. Ref is bonkers
  20. e I agree that people should post under their real name. Many forums demand it. However sometimes using real names may cause issues in stadiums with some nutter taking a dislike to a post. I never doubted it was you as you have posted in here before and have a distinct writing style. Either way something fishy seems to be going on for this to be called off. Hoe Sky havent pulled the plug. Even though they pay speedway loose change for the rights, clubs giving it back would cause mayhem.
  21. Poole to win but much closer than many might expect. Kennet rides Poole well but so does Lawson. Either rider would cause issues. Our reserves will be the difference on Wednesday. As for next Friday at Lakeside, well I don't expect anything other that a home win as Lakeside could well be a fortress this season, with away form their mauin issue.
