Peterborough Panthers 2014
proud panther replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Tsunami, is there any truth in the rumour that the BSPA were considering allowing Lambert to ride in the Premier League on an assessed 7 point average a couple of weeks ago ? -

Covatti, Rosen, or a new 7 pointer is all I can come up with. There was a rumour that Lambert was going to be allowed to ride in the Premier League, but nothing has been confirmed. -

Looks like we are stumped for a replacement for Fisher now, as the 2 obvious replacements Karlsson & Nieminen have higher averages. Is there any chance Fisher will be fit before the end of the season ? -
Sheffield Vs Panthers - 24/07/14

Dryml was unusually in the mix at the 1st bend, & could't avoid Stead in my opinion. He is a fair rider, & went round to check Stead was ok. He cost us the meeting with his poor performance. -

Good point Flying Panther, but Magnus Karlsson or Kauko Nieminen stand out if we are only going to make 1 change. The easier option would be to change 2 riders. -
Team GB could be out by Sunday !!

New Co-promoter At Peterborough
proud panther replied to spencebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Redcar's loss is our gain in my opinion. Very friendly enthusiastic chap, & like Johnno, will keep team spirit high. -

Still no news on a replacement for Fisher. Poor from our promotion, but it might be easier if our new promoter is approved, because any new rider will be more confident of getting paid. -
Birmingham - The Future?

Stansolo you seem to need the shock factor to post on here. Stick to sensible debate, & we can enjoy your input. -

Can't believe anybody can have any complaints about Lasse. He gives 100% every race, & has upped his average. He has ridden with a number of injuries as well, so I would never question his commitment to Panthers. -

Have to say that Ales put in a brilliant performance, considering he was dropped last week before the BSPA stepped in. -
Good. Another useless foreigner in Benko gone, hopefully never to return. The BSPA need to set a higher criteria for riders to be allowed in the Premier League.

Crump 99, all your post's do is cause an argument. Why are you even on a Panthers Premier League topic, I thought you didn't go anymore ? -

If my information is correct, you will have seen our new signing at Cardiff at the weekend if you were there. -
Something Got To Change (sheffield)

Anton Rosen looks a good prospect, & Richard Hall would improve your home form. A gamble on a 7 point foreigner, with the chance of gaining a new asset is another option. -

We have been close to losing speedway at Peterborough a couple of times, & that would be a tragedy in my opinion. Be interesting how many fans who have stopped attending will be on here moaning if we lose it completely. -

Tend to agree with you Shadders. We have ridden on a Thursday for the last few years, & the kids still had to get up for school Friday. If you are a proper supporter, you will make the effort whatever night your team races. Unfortunately, Peterborough don't have enough fans, & it will eventually cost us our club. -
Peterborough V Redcar Pl 1st July
proud panther replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
He has been affected by his family problems to be fair to him, but his heart isn't in it. Then you have a few bad meetings, & start to doubt yourself. Would love him to pull out of his slump. -

I am not fickle by any mean's. I just feel that the 2 riders I mentioned don't appear to be giving 100% to the cause. If they were riding to their ability, we would have lost very few matches. I am a season ticket holder, & go to a lot of away matches, including the recent northern tour. In my opinion, all the other riders are giving their all, & if we want to win anything this year, changes need to be made. -

Taxi for Dryml & Fisher. How many points would we have to play with ? -
Peterborough will be ok, because Rick & Julie still own it. Wouldn't be so confident if they ever walked away completely.
-
Konopka doesn't look like he is going to be a 6 point PL rider, & we wonder why British Speedway doesn't have any chance of winning the World Cup. Crang is still young enough to be a decent rider, but needs experience.

Back to the team, & I think the Fish has got to go, because his heart doesn't seem to be in it enough for me. He is one of my favorite riders, but the absence of his family appears to have affected him badly. Who we would get to replace him is anyone's guess ?
