a winning team w is it the money? or is it the regulations? the d/u, the ftr. speedway is on a shoestring that gets watered down year on year. ask Swindon fans who miss leigh adams, witches fans who miss gollobs/ricko"s, ask Coventry fans who miss hancock/Hamill there is a pattern here money isn't a problem come Cardiff or national stadium, yet its mentioned in league racing?
-
gps/world cups/brit finals/blrc create atmosphere larger crowds, its the cream of the crop people want to watch. you cant take people as mugs and crowds
-
NL isn't 2nd best......its 3rd best the doubling up rule ruined it imo....I cant get used to riders changing sides twice a week. bank holidays is a headache wondering what mix n match team you going to watch
-
spot on, quality line ups is what will get people back in stadiums, not watered down teams.
-
agree with you, but again contradicts his openness and clarity speech, and listening to fans? surely the promoter of any club has to give a reason of a cancellation?
-
the abuse belle vue got, yet kings lynn cancel a perfectly normal night? double standards here
-
my POINT is, whats on his passport? status? I guess its neither Australia or Europe!
-
its "rideable"
-
farcical this season
-
please tellme Woffy has Australia and Europe on his twitter account as a wind up?
-
im actually confused, but my understanding yesterday was this fixture was called off due to a weather forecast? to which yesterday, i posted just how crazy that decision was. hence, if thats the case i was proven right. its quite ironic that buster put the blame at belle vue door on opening night fiasco, and has now had this happen! a lovely night and no speedway.its no wonder this sport is in the state its in. Buster is one promoter i actually like, but this is one episode that doesnt ring true

ljung/sundstrom?
-
going by what I read on here (never always accurate) assumed it was forecast..just think its crazy to call off this early. I was once met at saddlebow road gates by buster, who was near by, he even apologised for my wasted journey!, wasn't his problem, just british weather, its unpredictable, hence why its crazy, to cancel 30 hours early....it could pour down tomorrow and everyone will take a poke at this thread, BUT, its too early as yet, imo
-
agree with all you just said, what I'm saying, is we cant cancel a game on the chance it may or may not rain 30 hours in advance? If that was the case id not of wasted my time travelling various places in the past on a sunny day, only for it to pour down? we all check forecasts before leaving..
-
if its dry, there wouldn't be less, theyd be more than a match with sky cameras there.. if we went by forecasts, the season would never be completed. if sky weren't in town, tomorrows match would never be cancelled ...yet
-
just cos sky pulled out, why cancel the actual meeting? go ahead like any other night would, until its actually waterlogged! then put 2 fingers up to sky!

who was talking bout other sports? -
think fans on here now picked what side of the fence they on with Tai, i personally lost respect for him, he wont care, why should he, care what any of us think? but all the mud throwing on this subject wont change anyones opinions..
-
nice post brian, and think you correct in saying "timing isn't good" and "cost of bringing crew with him", I get that. I don't accept this one match would effect his title bid one iota. I don't accept this schedule argument either, riders do this all the time. I do believe the carrot isn't big enough to entice him over here. Because I have never EVER knocked woffy before yesterday, doesn't mean someone should never be questioned when things don't ring true. Until yesterday I was un-aware of his arrogance, his statement of "done more than any rider will in next 10 yrs" is arrogance beyond belief. Whilst its his business, I personally don't get why a rider would sell medals either? but that bit is his business, but in my mind professional sportsman should strive for medals, even if its to hand over to his off-spring. I think its a financial decision hes turned down the Brit Final, but its easier for PR purpose to say "schedule"

a third heat leader behind KK and Harris would make Coventry very decent, with king going to no2 -
Swindon Robin's V Coventry Bees 31st March

king has to be moved to a second string, hes no elite league heat leader. this play off format does give teams a second chance around May time, we seen teams do a charge before, its far from over yet -

this season, of all seasons, just hope Coventry don't bow out of Brandon in a damp squib.. -
lets be honest here, if the carrot was big enough, Tai would of been in the line up. Forget his "schedule", riders do this all the time.

does anyone the the prize fund for the brit title?
