  1. daily star today says 6,000 in attendance
  2. I wasn't in the house of commons but I know it was a crap budget!!!
  3. is fred flange the PA spokesman? you are defending the un-defendable...Riders are booked to ride, its their duty to turn up what-ever they heard about the place....it was a bodge up-simple..you suggesting Chris Morton was un-aware of the problem? you suggesting the track curator was un-aware of the problem? they took a gamble and lost. now (for the crowd that turned up and spent loads)those people deserve a refund and a public apology...Blaming the weeks weather on British speedway page is not good enough
  4. EXACTLY....Aces51 just told us he was there Saturday morning..now I would guess the 5,000 crowd wouldn't of known much about the track conditions, but I'm damn sure Chris Morton and the track curator knew exactly what was being kept quiet!!
  5. so Chris Morton assumed it was "RACEABLE"?
  6. were you there Saturday morning???? thought you had to be there to have an opinion.......
  7. it was a bodge up!....of course you can tell what happened, even if you were in china! the track wasn't ready (by all accounts they knew on Thursday), no press conference to make fans aware of this position. the management failed the fans, pure and simple
  8. never agreed with orion so much! but hes spot on, they knew before last night it was not ready, and were caught out
  9. whilst it was farcical, I think you will find only ticket money will/should be refunded. When you book hotel, petrol costs going to a speedway match, you are always going to risk the postponement, whether its the weather or any other circumstances. think legally, only hope is ticket costs, that's going to be given
  10. recall witches winning the 4s at boro..TR was waving at crowd on 2nd bend whilst other 3 still racing!
  11. hope the doubters (and there was plenty of them) who questioned kk signing, feel a little bit happier today.. kk and harris just need that third heat leader, and they wont be that far away.......hopefully
  12. cant disagree entirely with your point of view, but as far as league racing is concerned, I watched ricko an awful lot, and even though he was rarely behind...once he was, he wasn't the best of passers in the world..imo....obviously don't deny he was superbly talented and mega quick though
  13. think you know baldyman I no longer attend foxhall (Brandon will be the track I visit), but witches line up clearly not up to challenging. Tonights result, albeit just one game, virtually takes them out of the league cup. I would guess the current crop can now use rest of the league cup to find their feet. The history of the current owner suggests he will stick by his riders.
  14. would love to see bees finish well at britains best stadium...think current side can win games, but don't see them thrashing anybody. personally think they going to have to strengthen at some point, to challenge a top 4 slot
  15. anybody read the posts on witches page? predictions by people who supposedly follow speedway. hong kong phooey "we should have heat wins every race"....!!!! predictions ranging from 10 to 30+ win.. 3.2.1 and back in the room!! you then had predictions by loads putting scunny at the bottom....no chance... think you will find I tipped scunny top 6 with ease and holub will be huge advantage to them within a month or two "fortress foxhall" and "we want trophies" wake up!!
  16. agree with BW. I too, think Emil is on par with Tai, but record books put Mauger and Ricko as best ever riders, its judged by world titles. Id always put Olsen as best I seen, but you cant argue with record books.
  17. not sure they could afford footy tickets. people IN work cant afford tickets!!
  18. In all walks of life, charity is a personal thing. im guessing Steve Brandon was closer to Darcy than injured riders of the past. If Steve wants to raise money for Darcy, good on him, and anyone sponsoring him will be aware of the cause. Im sure if people want to help other riders, you have the same option. I chose to sponsor a lowly averaged rider in the past, it was my individual choice who I chose, everyone can raise money in some form or other, shame theres not more Steve Brandons and Tai Woffindens out there!
  19. APOLOGIES for wrong thread here, but seeing as philiprising has just posted on this thread, just wondered if speedway star could change "PK" too start stories, (AS front page this week) in future that relate to kildemand, as im sure the majority of readers relate to karlsson as PK.......Again, apologies for butting in this thread!
