BERWICK v REDCAR (KO Cup) Saturday, April 1st

I’d love to know how they can justify this, I can’t wrap my head around it I expect the crowd will be even smaller than I first thought after this announcement -

Agree with most of what everyone has said so far, last week clearly the exception to the rule against a poor Edinburgh side and when Pickering was injured in the tie at Berwick it was always going to be a home win Like has been said anyone who had half an idea about speedway knew that the Berwick team was built terribly with Coles the exception to the rule again as he is proving to easily be the best 2 pointer in the league so far Leon needs a break from Berwick to get up to a higher level as he really does struggle away from home and only ever seems to beat his teammates or other teams reserves, however he is fantastic at home With a double header next week and the price being extortionate at the best of times for the majority of the fan base eg concessions I can see it being a very poor crowd next week, half of the fans on the back straight last night were from Redcar Berwick fans have been taken for mugs for over a decade now, has patience finally run out from one of the loyalest fan bases in speedway? -

Glasgow Tigers v Berwick Bandits 14/04/23

Agree with the Flint/Etheridge statement but I’m sure most Berwick fans could have predicted that before the season started I agree that neither crash was track fault but the entrance to bend 3 certainly seemed very uneven and Lee Complin especially looked like he was going over speed bumps every time he went in It certainly seemed better in the later stages as the riders got progressively wider as the dirt moved out and the track grading was ceased, it just didn’t seem anywhere nearly as good as I have seen previously at Glasgow imo -

You’ve got a brighter future as a team manager than as a weather forecaster that’s for sure -

Looks pretty dangerous from where I am Nothing new there then -
Are you fully delusional or can you send me some of what you’re drinking Mr Barrie?
-
I’d like to know your thoughts on signing TJ on a 9.53 if you think Schlein is bad on his average Schlein is the least of my concerns with this team
-
We all knew Schlein would be a Bandit
-
I hope the Poole fans will still speak to me after I predicted this one a couple of weeks ago In all seriousness Schlein will be our best rider imo and Connor Coles is as good a 2 point reserve as we could get and I fancy he will be better than Stoneman
-
Even after missing a season I’d say Schlein would be able to keep his average close to 8 and would outperform Jorgensen at most of the tracks we visit and is less of a risk than that signing if his 9.53 average is confirmed Berwick has never been his favourite place but he has always seemed to perform fairly well there as he normally brings his gating gloves
-
It’s Sunday night, who isn’t wined up Too busy thinking about the Jorgensen/Schlein combo at Berwick and how many 5-1’s they’ll be on the wrong end of against your flash the cash heat leaders
-
I’m guessing it will be a converted average from the Premiership last season which will be somewhere around 9.53 but that is pure guesswork, who knows with the BSPA these days Agree with that, I’m guessing the latter average for Jorgensen so hence my scepticism
-
Of the four announced tonight - it is good to see Jonas back but other than that it’s underwhelming Assuming we need a 2 pointer to make it all fit and Stoneman is fine for that Personally I’m not as excited as some to see Jorgensen return but we shall see in time and will have a better idea when the final two are announced
-
That probably signals that Bomber is moving on if Leon is captain Jorgensen and Schlein to be the other two heat leaders for the Bandits in 2023 is my guess

Glasgow v Berwick April 12th
Hamster00 replied to Weeyin's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Jensen has turned in to a very very good heat leader over the past season and Vissing is pure class on his day In a weaker league I think they’ll be pretty hard to beat but we’ll see. -

This could go either way and I expect we will miss Jye quite a bit Again I can see Cook, Jensen and Vissing putting on a show but the Bandits have the edge at reserve If I was a Tigers fan I’d be quietly confident of sneaking a win if the three heat leaders can get some solid support Berwick will need to have there gating gloves on tonight. -

Berwick looked very slow compared to the Tigers once they knocked the rust off. Very few will beat Cook, Jensen or Vissing round there they all looked especially quick. A bit of a comedown after a brilliant double over Newcastle but to be expected really. -

How would you know? -

Comfortably the weakest bottom 3 in the league with Carr, Etheridge & Payne. We'll need to make further changes once the averages change or the wooden spoon still beckons. -

So we now have an excellent heat leader in Nick Morris who paired with Bridger should be able to challenge any opposing teams big hiiters. With regards to Etheridge and Payne well Payne should be able to hold his own much like Blacklock but the Etheridge signing is bemusing he was garbage with Edinburgh so unless something serious has changed it seems like a step sideways all round I can't really see much changing we have bolstered at the heat leader position but now leave ourselves exposed further down. -
I should have probably used the word predictable It's interesting that you can find fault in my choice of words but you never seem to be able to find fault with this team 🤔
-
Yes and about as predictable as the Bandits throwing away a lead.

How long until we get the generic posts saying despite the result it was a great meeting from Big Eddie and the like Nine meetings so far and one win says it all.
