Only really interested in Exeter that season being there only one in the british league through the 80s, I attended every meeting at home and would like to look back and see who I actually saw that season riding for visiting teams, as I cant locate the programmes Not to worry though, I can imagine how painstaking it would be to get a whole seasons results Keep up the good work

Is it your site Dave? If so, I think its fantastic, I have spent hours looking at it, Just one request, I am desperate for the 1984 British League, any idea when you will be working on that year? Regards

Makes the decision to get rid of Luke Harris a little silly now considering he was bombed out to accommodate Garrad who has also now retired Personally I think reserves in the National league should all be under 21,i have nothing against Mullins, I have only seen him ride once I think against Kent for Wimbledon last season, where predictably he suffered 2 engine failures and think he got a point Saying that though Danny Ayres was a late comer and he is fantastic
-
Other than Perks, and I would assume arron basebys brother who else is Kent born or based?
-
Poland and Denmark of course, but I'd put us 3rd/4th after Australia For me growing up, Denmark were always the best anyway, then Sweden, so nothing new
-
And yet neither haven't produced a world champion since 2010

David Mason???

I would love to see the return of the test match, have some great memories of the late 80s early 90s tests against the USA at swindon Doubt the calender would allow for such fixtures these days, i do like the idea of blooding some of the younger talents in such tests though And it will always be England to me

Good luck to him, I hope he does, any clues as to where he may end up

For me, that's the main problem with the points limit, they are forcing riders out, in an ideal world, riders would come into the national league on a 3 point average, work there way up until they were picked up by a premier league club and move on It's not happening, rider averages will only go up with such a small limit, and then they are unable to ride as they can't be fit into sides David may or may not wish to ride for kent, but the option is not there for him

Dan Halsey confirmed back at Mildenhall
-
Thanks for clearing that up. i'll get there soon
-
Well thanks for pointing that out, I didn't know the nominated 15th heat wasn't used in the averages, would explain why it's not 45 points In that case though, I would certainly have a 42 point limit max with a possible 38 point minimum, I certainly wasn't looking for some teams to build to only 30, it wasn't good last year watching teams like Buxton and Scunthorpe I'm sure some Cradley riders who finished on 55+ will be looking for new teams as they can't all ride again for the same team Coventry, Cradley .Kent. Kings Lynn and Mildenhall will all have to lose riders as they can't fit in to the averages, hopefully these riders will get picked up by weaker teams making it more equal all round I guess by about 5pm tonight we will know a lot more

Spoke to the father in law again, he said Leigh was at the meeting to watch his lad and was in good form, although he was questioning the fim ruling on riders declaring which would be their 1st and 2nd bikes
-
I've never understood why the points limit, regardless of the league, is so low I mean, there are 90 points available in each match, meaning you need 45 just to get a draw, why wouldn't the limit be 45 I'm sure there is a good reason, I just don't know it
-
Sorry pal, I don't know, my father in law lives in Oz and told me the results, Hope he's well

Leigh Adams son Declyn won the u16 250cc

If Jack Kingston and Marc Owen will be riding for Lakeside in the National Trophy only, surely they will be available to ride for someone in the National league, and with Kent being local, maybe an option should Ben Morley leave?
-
Is that confirmed? I don't see the point in that tbh, like Leicester last year, they just used a load of riders from other clubs, I think it's good if a team use their NL team to bring young riders through, but I can't see this happening I can see this working for a club which has no current team and are trying to get back into the sport such as Milton Keynes, but Lakeside are an established team, No one is going to be able to ride only for lakeside as they wouldn't get enough rides

Who Is The Best Pl Number One Ever?
Wiseguy replied to Robinh88's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
When I was younger I only watched speedway at Exeter, the only away tracks I ever went too was either poole or Weymouth, but mostly just Exeter. I have a very distorted memory of most of the riders as ones I remember being fantastic on the Exeter track were often useless elsewhere, and vica versa Sometimes though, quality shines through, and there were some riders who adapted to the Exeter track just as brilliantly as they did any other track The best I remember were Phil Crump, Steve Schofield, Martin Yeates, Stan Bear, Gordon Kennett, but the best of the lot and bias as he rode for my beloved Exeter was Steve Regeling -
Think it's safe to say Ben Morley will have to ride for Rye House unless the rumours I hear about him being sold to Lakeside are true, in which case he would probably ride for Lakeside at reserve in the Elite league and number 1 in the national league Sad for Kent fans, and I hope I'm wrong

Lengthy delays are normally after a nasty crash, I wouldn't like to see punishments dished out because of that, Maybe if the delay was for other reasons Been to some long meetings but this season Kent v Mildenhall seemed to go on for ever, I think every race was re started at least once It was a bank holiday meeting, so no rush to beat the curfew, and boy, did they not rush
-
I'd say the top 5 Fast Track riders based on their average (guessing Kerr, Garrity, Newman, Worral and Blackbird) should all have to move up to 2 or 4 in the team the likes of Adam Ellis, Lewis Rose etc should be given another season at reserve, and if they finish 2015 as one of the top 5, then the same rules apply Whats the point of fast tracking somebody when there is no team place at the end of it Only my opinion
-
Can't see this meeting beating the weather we are having in kent at the moment, I would check before setting out on any long journeys

Australian Gp Is Back
Wiseguy replied to Stats's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I agree it should not be all in Europe, would love a USA GP, I do think they should have the Aussie GP at the start rather than the end though
