  1. Reserves have only ever had 3 rides, because the other reserve replaced them.
  2. Ive already done he basics. Works fine. Would need to be tweaked to suit exact needs but I offered it before and got no response. I only discovered how easy it was when I tried to compile fixtures for a game and realised how hard it is to get the number of clashes the BSPA have
  3. Would be interesting to hear the reasons why Workington were prevented from switching race night. Using any kind of logic they should have priority over Scunthorpe and Glasgow.
  4. What about them? Rider can earn £2.50 3 times a year in Demark or some decent money in the U.K. Poole have never had problems and theyve employed a few Danes over the years. And Lynn rode Wednesday with Bjerre, Iversen and Korneliussen. Denmarks not half the problem some people make out.
  5. Couldn't care less what the riders think. Its what the fans think. In my jobs I've a few times sat in cramped, dark, cold (or hot) trucks making TV shows but I get paid to suck it up and not moan. The important thing is that the viewer at home loves it. Not in speedway, we pander to the riders. And to go back to the original point, if a show is crap it's scrapped. the BBC don't keep it on air because 200 people like it, they scrap it and make better alternatives for the 1000s, not the 100s - but hey, this is speedway, they know better!
  6. If you're using R/R at #3 for your second heat leader you can use your number 1 in heat 11, 12 (R/R), 13, 14(tac sub) and 15! Typical speedway. Any speedway is better than no speedway and then wonder why the sport is on it's backside. Any decent business/sport has a degree of quality control. If tracks are not up to standard sort it out or close down. Stop dragging the product down. But speedway loves mediocrity, we'll have mediocre teams competing on mediocre tracks and while we have plenty of young Brits out there we'll let worse than mediocre Aussies have work permits and then be shocked that Australia do better than us in GPs and SWCs in the future.
  7. Use a Championship rider? Which one, they all ride in the Premiership anyway, thats why we have to have fixed race nights to stop the clashes. Last season the options would have been Summers, Lindgren, Ostergaard and Jonas B Andersen So your star man is out and you want them replace by that lot?
  8. Rider with an average under 8, surprised hes not wanted by his parent club, GP rider. The options are.... Woffinden Because the rest have averages too high, have never ridden here or their owned by a club that are not riding at present/any more.
  9. So now what? You have two riders injured, you use R/R for one, what do you do for the other? Because the other 7 teams will all be racing themselves on most Mondays and Wednesdays now.
  10. He had the 3rd highest away average in the Championship in 2017, with Cookie not riding Championship that will make him 2nd (to Grajczonek), the only reasons Bombers average was not much higher was his home scores and he's rarely been that great at Peterborough. Ride a home track he likes and can score well on each week and he'll put his average up, something you can't say for many other 9 point men.
  11. I bet by 10.30 the BSF is going into meltdown because all your pet theories and crap ideas have not been acted on. Nobody will be happy, everyone will moan. And there will be one utterly stupid change by the BSPA.
  12. To further add to Boothers great stats, I make it that 20% of riders in the Championship in 2017 were guests!
  13. If the biggest nitpicking they can highlight is about toilet rolls then "LOL". Because frankly its irrelevant, BSI are petty to ask for it, Poland are petty for brinigng it up as a major reason for BSI being dicks. Sadly, in this World, people with power like to exert it, it happens in ever country. BSI are showing whos boss, because they are the boss. As for constant complaints, isn't that what Poland does about BSI? Bans, well that just makes sense, why have a Euro Championship and a World Championship that is 80% the same riders? Because Doyle, Hancock and Holder aside, the top Europeans and the top World riders are the same. The SEC is a competition for having a completions sake. If BSI really wanted to show they were boss and put Poland in their place they'd run GPs on Sundays, like every other motorsport World Championship, not Saturday, a day that British Speedway used until the GPs come along and stole it.
  14. Every year people get arsey that nothing is released during the weekend, every year people seem shocked that they don't here anything until the 8pm Sunday night pres release. Speedway fans are amazing.
  15. Or have both at BV so us fans don't have to travel all over the country. And no disrespect to Peterborough (and Lynn) but it's not exactly Manchester where theirs plenty of other things to do in the day and places to eat/drink after the meeting. Manchester is a great city, a few days there is no hardship at all!
  16. So the issues are they don't like feeding people and providing bog rolls. As for the money, of course BSI will charge each country as much as it can. Thats how business works. Seems to me to be a lot of moaning about nothing.
  17. Which is probably why you have never run a business in your life I'm guessing? You DONT incentivise those already attending/likely to attend. It's why BT offer discounts to new customers but rarely to existing customers (not unless you say you'll leave), why pay to keep current fans? It makes no sense. You incentivise new fans with monetary offers and keep current fans by giving them the product they want. In that respect, season tickets in speedway are a bit of a folly. Why do football clubs have season tickets? Well they sell the people to sponsors. So it suits them to let 10,000 in for half price because the sponsor will pay 5,6,10 times more. Speedway seems scared to run off sponsorship and is obsessed with making things pay with fans through the gate. But they obsess too much about the fan paying cash to get in and NOT what the fan is worth to sponsors.
  18. This post deserves dragging this back from the archives.... http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=48999&page=3&do=findComment&comment=1528590
  19. Best and most successful AGM ever I predict
  20. Why are people struggling to grasp fixed race nights isn't just a Premiership thing? both leagues had as many guests as each other in 2017, fixed race nights eradicates a LOT of guests because of doubling up. Speedway needs to stop it with this them and us mentality. If our two leagues can't get on what chance of working with Sweden and Poland?!
  21. Why? In 2017 20% of riders who rode in Premiership or Championship meetings were guests. I don't know the reasons but it's probably fair to say an equal number in both leagues were due to doubling up clashes. If we're going to have doubling up then we need fixed race nights and the situation has got out of hand now. And riders double up as much in the Championship as the Premiership, so why should only the Premiership make changes to fix this situation?
  22. Coventry have show for 80-odd years that Coventry Speedway works. Nobody needs to prove anything to anyone. So God knows what Horton is doing.
