  1. Wells should be a heat leader. Thorsell should be a second string. But the BSPA seem to have literally made up the list so who knows?!
  2. Anyone suggesting Newman doesn't have ambition is a bit gone in the head! The guy turns up and rides anywhere in Europe there is a meeting taking place - a lot more than pretty much any other British rider (Woffy aside)
  3. So Kacper Woryna - thats Kacper Woryna who is Jakob Jamrog level in Poland. You'd have thought after that failed we'd avoid signing 2nd tier Poles. Szymon Woźniak was quite a bit better than him in Poland last season and he is only a 5.5 rider
  4. Maybe not for Swindon you could do as Wolves have done, sign Joonas, Bech and Lindgren as heat leaders, they can still fit in Zengi as a second string - so if the BSPA have decided he's a second string they're fine but if theyve made him a heat leader Wolves can't fit him in as they have 3 of them.
  5. I'm still missing the logic behind Garrity moving into the 1-5. Draft riders get averages after 4 meetings anyway. But him riding in reserve as a draft rider to start with would mean that right now Coventry would have a great team as someone like Barker could have replaced him in the 1-5 (meaning always one of Barker or Garrity in reserve) and Coventry would still have 6 points to find the last second string.
  6. I remember the cheering every time they let off them huge flame things on the back straight and they were heating up the crowd But yes, it was bitterly cold that day.
  7. The question was aimed at TNT who thinks it's done by average.
  8. So what makes Summers a second string but not others?
  9. If there are two reserve races it'll be a farce with reserves getting averages and gong into the 1-5.
  10. Klindt will average 9 off gate 4 and 3 off gate 1.
  11. I had assumed that they would return to the traditional 15 heat format especially now the reserves can move into the 1-5.
  12. Bizz rode 100% of his meetings in the last 2 seasons as a heat leader. People need to stop blaming Poole too. This is the BSPA screwing up and giving Poole an advantage rather than Poole being underhand.
  13. My list would only make anyone who has raced 70% of meetings (so 14 out of 20 for most) in the last 2 seasons as a heat leader a "heat leader". Anyone who's raced less probably doesn't have too biased an average while any rider who's not raced here for two season has not raced in the biased format that screws their average. Id also not call it a heat leader list but a "tier 1" list. And how is anyone on my "list" any more likely to not get a job than using the BSPAs made up list?! Actually. Scrub that, I'd just weight every riders average based on riding position from the last two seasons. No need to lists then!
  14. Schlein should be a "heat leader" and Lambert not though. That seems fair. Hans is a heat leader too. If you have a heat leader list, you have to make sure the heat leaders are people who rode as heat leaders. Otherwise it does nothing. Are PK and Bjerre by virtue of there 5.9ush averages second strings? Or are they heat leaders as they got them lower averages because they rode in the harder heat leader positions? Had they both ride as second strings all year they'd probably be 8 point riders after all
  15. Its simple enough, anyone who average has been attained in the last two seasons riding primarily as a heat leader is a heat leader. As is any new rider over 6.5. The rest, they're second strings. The issue is the list shouldn't be a heatleader list. It should be a "has a low/bargain average because they ride as a heatleader" list.
  16. 13. So he should be a heat leader if Danny King is one.
  17. im sure I read someone that the "heat leaders" may not actually ride as heat leaders - riding order will be determined by average.
  18. Of the 20 meetings that King ride to get his average, 9 were as a heat leader. 11 were at second string. Joonas rode something like 13 of 20 as a heat leader.
  19. For a club that has Kylmakorpi, Bech and Lindgren as heat leaders you're very confident
  20. KKs club threatened to ban him in 2010 if he rode for the Bees rather than practice in Poland. He told hem to go away and rode for the Bees. His attendance record for the Bees cannot be questioned, unlike some Poles.
  21. So with Coventy signing KK that only leaves Batchelor as a heat leader for half the league to fight over. As it is, it's looks like my team will be one of the "haves" but even in not happy with the disparity.
  22. Please sign Summers and Batchelor Just so we can all laugh at Stevebrum
  23. Youd think someone who watched Freddie Lingren roll around to a 6.11 average would be weary of mocking a rider who averaged 7.97 when he struggled and is alleged to have taken the piss
  24. Phew! Of course. Silly me. See, I can help but be pessimistic! Mads Korneliussen maybe. Or Jacob Thorsell.
