  1. Daryl is a very good choice for number 7. When Coventry signed him in the NL last season I questioned the sanity of the move and was told to wait and see and I'd be wrong. I was, massively. He must have been one of, if not the most consistent NL heat leader last season. Paco is a pretty tidy rider over on the continent, should be looking at getting into the 5s while Sarj has just come on at a steady rate the last 2 or 3 seasons so no reason he can't be pushing for 6.5 this season. As for the top 4, all proven performers, King is as good a number 1 as any, Covatti probably has a little improvement in him, Kerrs career has only really seen him move in one direction (with a little stall last year) and Risager is what he is, a 3rd heat leader who is no in a second string role. Can only compare it to other complete teams, thats Berwick. This team is better. But it's Ipswich, you just know it's going to fall short, again.
  2. Newman and Auty do not have EL average. Howarth does. Draft rider never got EL averages. However I've already made it clear elsewhere they should have used a conversion from their draft averages and not from their PL averages anyway.
  3. TBF, what Russians want a place? And what Americans are there to have a go? The Americans will only have Fisher riding in Europe in 2016 won't they (and Hancock but he doesn't need the qualifiers). As for GB, hopefully we'll send Harris, Lambert, Cook, Garrity and Newman.
  4. A good post until you fill it with nonsense about Kelvin not riding 2nd division. He rode for Arena Essex in the Premier League in 2002!
  5. Howarth is riding on his EL average. So if anything goes against Mear being on a 3.
  6. It's won't be based in average. It should be based in meetings raced as a heat leader, which means Danny probably should be a heat leader.
  7. You CANNOT compare draft riders averages which riders averages pre-draft. If Mear signed in a 1-5 he's have a 4.1 average, so why is it different in reserve?
  8. Agree with this. It's solid enough it should avoid any heavy away defeats but it's not good a league winning look to it. It just seems to be a collection of journeyman foreigners.
  9. No he's not. Looks like another season out for him. As for Joonas, like King he was an, "if a deal can be agreed then great but other wise, no great loss". When it does become more of an issue if if he cannot be replaced!
  10. Actually, thats a pretty good point and good be a good money spinner!
  11. 1 - Good point. 2 - It was applied on first recalculation last season. But that means nothing now!
  12. That Coventry meeting was a joke and I'd take very little from it. What I will say, is Kim is a pretty good wet weather rider as he was the only rider to put up any resistance when Coventry whooped you at home in 2014 on a wet track.
  13. The 4.67 he averaged in the PL the season before last.
  14. KK is weird. His last 3 EL averages have been 7.5, 11 and 7.5. Get the one who averaged 11 and you're laughing, get the other one and some days you'll be wanting to kill him! It's nothing to do with the team he rides in either. As when he's crap one place he's crap everywhere!
  15. Your crowds plummeted in 2009 and those that remained gave Bjarne Pedersen more rubbish than he should ever have got from a club where he'd done so much.
  16. owing to the fact BV would have either had last or last bit one pick they had nothing to lose picking Boxall. If he's crap they just pick someone else. As it is, Boxall is a better rider than Nielsen so it strengthens BV. Boxall is capable of beating any of the tier 1 riders if he takes it serious.
  17. As SWC hosts are any meetings allowed to take place? Wasnt allowed in the past. I can only see this being a disaster.
  18. Of the 20 meetings that make up a riders average I make it Lawson rode 19 meetings as a second string. Bech was 14 which as I said is borderline. Same with King at Coventry
  19. AJ and Kennett are heat leaders. Nilsson is not. Or at least that how it should be. So you have to take that into account. MJJ should be, Mikkel Bech is cusp, depends on cut offs. Watt is a second string, North a heat leader and Lawson a second string. I'm not sure if that helps or hinders As for Mear, if his average is not 4.1 that's it for me with EL speedway. I'll be giving up on speedway-stats, cancelling sky and paying for bt sport to watch the GPs, I'll go to Cardiff and he SWC but the EL has become a farce.
  20. You have to fancy that signing a very low averages 1-5 rider that Swindon will use the points up elsewhere - so either Doyle or Zengota will be at Swindon next season.
  21. Josh Bates is 3.3 for Coventry. So that's not true
  22. Agreed. Everyone go to Stockport, leave the hotels in Mancehster for me If I'm going to Manchester for the speedway and I'm staying 150 miles from home in hotel and have a choice of Stockport or Manchester then it's Manchester only for me, pretty much regardless of price. Also, I don't be staying opposite the speedway but the centre of Manceshter so it less to stumble when I'm drunk See you all there!
  23. Good luck with that! Rob Mear average 4.09 in 2013. He's not been out 3 years to justify a re-assessment so I don't see how it can be anything else
  24. If Kennett average is 5.86 and his away average is 5.49 that'd make him one of the better away riders.
