I'm glad Rosco is getting a chance. I hope Phil will be around as he was last year too. I can see Rosco making such piss poor decisions and then changing his mind and making even more.
-
Middlo got stick because he was rubbish and made mistake after mistake. Let's see what Rosco does, I have more faith in him than Middlo.

TBF, the cost doesnt matter to the customer. You don't sell something at what it costs to make, you sell it and what someone thinks it's worth. For someone like me, the £15-17 to get in is pretty irrelevant. For me it's the 100+ miles worth of fuel and the £6.40 for the Severn Bridge for some tracks. Thats where it starts to add up. It's nearer £50 for me to go to Somerset.

Why? Theres duffers get signed all the time. I assume as they're cheap and the clubs have very little to lose in taking a chance on them, makes no sense otherwise.

A happy Sedgemen is a 7 point rider. An unhappy Sedgement will get get 5. Very up and down but one I think is worth the risk of signing. Could be one of the biggest improves by the end of the season tbf

Who Was The Best Rider In The World In 2013?
SCB replied to Gavan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
My issue with Hampel is he just didn't do it when it matters, the GPs. The generally accepted other top guys of Woffinden, Holder, Ward and Sajfutdinov all had injuries that means missing rounds or parts of rounds or riding with broken bones. He's a good rider, he's more than capable of winning a title next year but last year he only come to life when Emil got injured. He was 18 behind Emil when Emil got injured. When holder got injured he was 10 behind him with a 1/3 of the season to go. Hampel come to life when it was all over and the top guys had dropped like flies due to injury. Only a fool would count him out of the title race next season but last year, I just don't think when it mattered he was in the top 5. That aside, he was probably one of the star men in the World Cup -
Well you'd be wrong then. Thats a shock.

It's ok now, I've had a few people contact me. So fingers crossed some good can come from it.

Who Was The Best Rider In The World In 2013?

We said that about Greg a few years ago though didn't we? The guy can still gate like nobody else. As for Nicki, give him a sniff of victory and you'll get some rubbish or bust moves. It wasn't that long ago it went down to the wire between him and Holder for a title. Only spoilers maybe and probably not favourites for the title but certainly more than capable of podium finishes. -

Hampel wasn't that high last year. He gained massively from injury to Emil, Ward and Holder. if I had to list a top 5 it would be Woffy, Emil, Ward, Holder, Hampel. And there was not much more than a gnatts testicle between the top 4 IMO, certainly the closest top 4 I can ever remember there being. Now Hampel is clearly fit and back to his best and Puks had a year back to get into the swing of things I think we have a great season to look forward too and lets not forget Nicki and Greg too. I honestly think this year podium is the hardest to predict in a long time (mind you, none of us predicted Woffy last year!) -

Except that prior to injury Darcys league form was poor, he come back a lot better than he was before injury. So the injury cannot be used as an excuse. On that basis, riding a few months with a broken collarbone must have had one hell of an effect on Woffy. -

Im only amazed this has had so much discussion. Does it really matter one way or the other to us fans? Will it make the sport better or worse? Will it make one fan either watch or stop watching? No. -
Because you're on a forum for discussion about speedway. TBF, I can't see any obvious duff signings this season unless Berge is tripe which is possible. He doesn't seem to have much speedway pedigree but does on a long track. Benko will be rubbish but everyone knows that

Anyone? If someone could confirm ASAP as I'm seeing someone in the morning who may be able to help.
-
1. He didn't. 2. Even if he had, he would have still let his last one lapse so would not have got one,.
-
Improve their average or as a rider? Garrity could carry on as he did last year but still improve his average. Steen Jensens average look look like a snip as does Garrity as mentioned. David Howe can improve his average too.
-
IF someone could provide 10k for the airfence would the club run? I ask because potentially I may know of company in a position to do some sponsorship. I dont know at what level but I'm not mentioning it unless I know the club will run. feel free to PM if preferred.

Thats the only way they get away with it as he is not "currently" riding in another "Professional Speedway League". I'd argue that until 2014 kicks off he is currently riding in the Danish league though.
-
No, it was never a 5. It was always a 7.
-
So has Kurtz been given a 7 point average yet?
-
It would be hilarious if the BSPA did ban him for 28 days meaning Sheffield couldn't sign him as they'd have no facility for him. It would mean he'd end up with no EL or PL place for 28 days. The likelihood if he stayed at Swindon is he'd get a PL place in 28 days anyway.
-
It truely was an, if you never went you cant imagine it sort of place. standing on the 4th bend with the rider inches from you before flicking he bike out of the corner was something else. The farewell meeting was spectacular too, so many people there that the rickety old 2 metre spectator barrier gave in and people just pushed up to the fence. There were people leaning over between heats to take cups of shale. Madness. That has to have been one of the best views of a speedway track anywhere, literally over looking the back straight.
-
Fair play, he was planning to travel to one end of the country, now he's travelling miles the other way. I guess both are a fair distance from home assuming he's still Staffordshire based. So for all the comment earlier about him being a bit of a moaner, he's willing to commit to pretty big commutes.
-
d'oh. Of course it's an extension. not a new 12 months from now.
-
Interesting you have to apply 4 weeks before the other one ends. So now we know Troy has his work permit we know that for season 2015 he needs to sign within the next 11 months. So any club wanting Troy now know he'll be desperate to get sorted in 11 months time (so Nov). But then the year after he'll need to be sorted by October. This mean riders will soon be in a position they have to miss a year every now and again.
