  1. Bach 3/1 now in heat 6 looks good value.
  2. Bugs me you lose out on heat getting due to reserve changes, part and parcel of the sport, grrr! Gone Cook and Dyer to win heats 1 and 2, will take it from there. Also a small bet on Aarnio +1 vs Jorgensen. Aarnio was a 6+ rider at Scunny a few seasons ago, both will score about the same 5-7 so I'll take +1 @11/8
  3. All the riders who come across from moto-x can gate, Worrall, Cook and Lawson. Maybe we need to be stealing the lads after a few years as moto-xers.
  4. Bet you were getting worried when they were 20-odd up going into the last race that Tai wouldn't be nominated though Exactly how I gamble too tbh. I don't expect to become rich. I do it for a bit of fun. As I see it in 3 years you've lost £90, so £30 a year, thats less that 8 pints a year you have lost but obviously you have had the enjoyment of having a bet. So while you may be a "mug" who has lost £90 over 3 years, how much have you "lost" down the pub? Going to the speedway? and doing any other number of leisure activities? I put about £100 into a handful of betting accounts a few years ago, still have about that, give or take in them. Im laughing though because I took £4,000 out of a Ladbrokes account at the end of 2010 so even if I lose the same £30 a year that you lose then i would need live to 160 to end up a loser over all anyway Do I make money gambling (other than EL champions 2010 bet)? No, not at all if I'm honest. Do i mind making a lost of £50 on a night watching the speedway? No, because I'm confident I'll make similar back in another meeting soon enough give of take a tenner. I made about £130 last night just betting on Tai and Freddie in every race - as i see it, I've more than made up for the rubbish week I had last week! I backed Reading to do the double in '06 when they were cheated by the TR It does happen from time to time.
  5. Since when could PL clubs have double uppers sharing a position?
  6. nobody has questioned that, people are asking about your system.
  7. My system tonight, bet in Tai or Freddie in every heat they're in. Not sure how ill play heat 13 and 14 yet.
  8. Ooohhh, what was close. I bet for a minute the bookies were scared LOL. I suggest people bet on the opposite of anything I suggest from now on, this week has been terrible!
  9. Just to please mickthemuppet I've gone with Mrockza to outscore Sundstrom. He wants to know how many rides they'll both get? I'm assuming Mrockza will get 6 and Sundstrom 4 but it could well be 6 and 5.
  10. No idea how he bets on GPs either, you just dont know who is going to be int he final. I mean who would bet on the winner of a race not knowing which 4 riders were going to be in it, madness!!
  11. I never said you did but everyone who posted no here backed Swindon on the handicap, the handicap moved from -16 to -18 so plenty of other must have backed Swindon, they all lost. So using your logic of people losing so nobody should bet on that kind of bet you should not be against handicap betting. The point I'm trying to make is that sometimes, people lose bets, sometimes, people win them. Most people will lose, it's the nature of the game. But most dont care, the buzz of the occasional win is enough. Nothing is free these days and what ever way you get your enjoyment will cost you money, some like to go to the pub and think nothing of spending £50-80 on a night out. Some enjoy spending £35 on a ticket to watch football. Some are happy to accept they may lose £50 a week gambling.
  12. Is mickthemuppet going to come on and warn people about handicap betting now? As it seems quite a few have lost backing Swindon tonight.
  13. Id feel bad mocking him for that after feeling like I'd just been mugged after the Peterborough/Reading final all excited after heats 10 and 11 and then calling Jim Lynch all the nasty names imaginable after heat 15.
  14. I backed the draw aswell on the Holder/Schlein (and the Klindt one) so come out very slightly in profit, about enough for a pint! Not bad for being sat at home watching speedway. Quite happy with that tbh, certainly made what was a pretty crap meeting more interesting as I was shouting for Rory to pass Holder in heat 15. A greater frustration was backing Rory to win heat 7 and Tungate to outscore Worrall in heat 8 only for both bets to be void due to reserve changes! That bet alone will mean I'm almost certain to never end up paying bookies more than they've paid me
  15. I see no speedway on ladbrokes. I must be going mad! Wow, great fun. For me the idea of betting is to make a meeting more interesting, backing (or laying) both teams hardly makes it interesting.
  16. I can't find anything on ladbrokes :/ So what are your bets for tonight?
  17. I've lumped big by my standards for head to head betting on that Schlein bet. Holder is completly off form at the moment and I think he'll do well to get double figures. Also had smaller bets on Puk over 10 and Klindt -3 vs Stachyra, I'm thinking Stachyra will score 1 or 2 at most, I just don't see which Lynn rider he could be expected to beat.
  18. First Brit to win a Title in the 2010s? After all Price did it in the 40s, Williams in the 50s, Craven in the 60s, PC in the 70s, Lee in the 80s, Havvy in the 90s and Loram in the 00s. We're only capable of having one rider in each decade win a title, maybe Tai is the next?
  19. r/r scored paid 11. Watt not being there made no difference. You take that into account, for every time it goes to you then it'll go against you. Surely it's no worse than betting on a GP winner, you're betting on the result of a single race!
  20. Not quite as bad as my Karlsson bet! Yikes! Not going too well tonight
  21. Lynn win. Backed Bridger to score more than 8, PK less than 12 and Worall to win heat 2.
  22. I agree, there no doubt that Tais start to the season has been nothing short of excellent. He looks at this point in time he could be in the mix come the last GP rather than hoping to sneak a top 8 place like Bomber used to do. My point was that it's incorrect it was the best showing of a Brit since Cardiff '07. For a start Bomber had a GP where he scored 14, won his semi and was then all over Gregs(?) back wheel in the final.
