Scud. Our Scotty would be half a lap ahead of that lot, unless he crashed.

If you're ok with paying the £130ish a night they want, then I can suggest http://www.citybaseapartments.com/search-results.php?checkin=31%2F05%2F2013&checkout=02%2F06%2F2013&num_people%5B%5D=2&destination=Cardiff&city_id=6&country_id=&page=1&price_range=%C2%A3170+-+%C2%A3401&submit-filters=Refine+Results Century Wharf is a 15 minute walk from the stadium, has parking, theres a pool, sauna, gym and hot tub. And the locals are bloody nice people, in fact for a small fee I'll even show you some of the sights (if you consider The Prince of Wales pub a sight!) I also notice there an apartment in Penarth Marina for the Friday and Saturday night for £170. Probably about £12-15 in a taxi each way into the centre of Cardiff and probably a nice view of the Bay/Severn. -
Newport - Scott Smith, Rene Aas, Robert Kasprzak and Christof Cayre. I reckon those 4 wobbling about would be better fun than any 4 classy riders racing.

At some point it'll happen if Heeps continues to average 7 in reserve, even if it is August/September. edit > actually, 6 meetings averaging 7 would see him go above Sedgmen. So could happen in July or August. -
People get something in their head and its hard to change it. I've always enjoyed my trips to Rye House, admittedly it's been a few years now since I was there but i found the locals friendly and the racing of a decent standard.

Even and off form Sedgmen is better than Makkinen tbf. could you imagine if he dropped to reserve which is not impossible with Heeps current form -

I'll pay you to attend Eastbourne and Lakeside *It's a joke before anyone gets offended* -
When you look at thst list of injuries you realise just how unlucky Adam is then you read the article and the guy is still as passionate as ever and just wants to race and win. Quite an eye catching article too but maybe I'm a pervert :/

Totally agree, how many clubs have a scoreboard? Those that do have them are not fit for purpose, Coventrys doesn't show the right numbers, Swindons and Pooles don't show much info as it all scrolls. Does any club have a decent scoreboard? One you can look up at and see the match score and the result of the last race?

Just keep it quiet about the daily use thing for now. by the time it's happening planning will have been given. I doubt it'll be an issue. I'm still not convinced this will totally save the Aces and turn them back into the club they once were but it's certainly going to make things better. As a travelling fan who stopped going to away meetings, one of the first places I stopped going to was BV as the place was so bad. If they can just convert that into it being one of the first place people attend it'll make things better. but the suggestion crowds will double over the long term is a bit risky IMO. -
I love this line every time it's trotted out. He's been 'turning wheels' for the last 5 seasons. He's not good enough.

So to get a PL place you just need excellent equipment? :s I'd prefer a rider with crap kit scoring 4 than one with good kit scoring 3.

It'd be less than that as I doubt Kirky Lane is rent free. -

So it's only £75,000 a year. Not a huge amount then as the Malletts were paying only a little less for Newport. -

He was good when he did the GP studio stuff last year so I'm sure given time to settle he'll do a decent job. -
I could but wrong but isn't this the way it used to be when Edinburgh first moved to Armadale in the late 90s?

Enough dirt? Did Swindon last night have enough dirt? It's more than having "enough dirt". I've walked a few tracks now over the years and have ridden (very badly and very slow) a track which didnt look to have that much dirt but I assure you have bloody loads once you got onto it and were bumping around. It's no good having loads to dirt on the track for the guy who hits the front to go fast, nobody will pass him. It's about having racing lines (plural) and a consistent track where riders can be confident of being 2 inches from the fence or another ride. Dirt does NOT mean good racing. Slick does not mean rubbish racing! I do agree though, seeing tractors grade bald tracks is amusing

Oh that's it, you have just, in the eyes on the BSF massive, posted you want old people to die. How dare you!

Are you going to go onto the thread for a meeting and say, "15 speedway heats happened, it's not the first time or the last time yet here we are discussing it"? -
I've never understood why a guest has to be in someone elses team TBH. Why if a promoter wants to use one of the riders you have mentioned as a guest shoudlnt he? Let any rider guest, provided his average fits. And if the rider is not in a 1-7, his guest bookings count for an average.

Ricky Wells -1 vs Woodward @ 13/8 looks good to me. Wells will be getting 5 rides to Woodwards 4 and Wells will be partnered by the poor (at present) Skornicki while Woodward will drop points to his team mate Gustafsson. Also a small bet on Woffy to score more than 11, I know he hates the place but he's flying at the moment and I'm sure he was never a fan of Kirky Lane, it's only really Bjarne he should be a real threat tonight too.
