  1. Same here. I rarely sit in one place all meeting plus toilet and bar trips and the only time I ever get asked for a ticket is at the turnstile on the way in initially.
  2. It's surely no more than £15 for a taxi? So between 4 of you, it's nothing really.
  3. I don't know, if we're going to rate Gollob on how he performed in the twighlight of his career he has won a World Title in his 40's. How many have done that?
  4. Don't forget his technical ability too. He fully understand his bike and what his engines do. I'm sure he tunes some of his engines himself, or at least used to. Not many of the top guys can claim that!
  5. No, some people think the team manager used the wrong tactics. Nobody has said it's Middlos fault we didn't win, I doubt anyone believed we could win. Making the final would have been a good performance. But Middlos decision to use Nicholls as a joker, in Nicholls own ride off gate 1 vs the World Champion, well...... What was he thinking? Everyone of the decisions was stupid. The riders get slagged off if they can't ride the bikes/score the points, it's their job. But the manager gets slagged off if he gets his part of the job wrong (pick riders and tactics).
  6. Let every team have a reserve, they can take ANY 5 rides plus a tactical. If a team uses to put Crump, Gollob, Sayfutdinov, Harris or Nicki at reserve then thats up to them but if they put them in races in the first 20 heats an a rider gets wiped out in the last round of heats, tough rubbish!
  7. And to think I only started to panic at about 3pm on the day this year I had no ticket
  8. There is everything wrong with that LOL. How can you be the best EVER in the last 10 years?
  9. Same here, I love the SWC. It's always great racing. You get the top guys riding it some but you also get some lesser lights riding out of their skins to prove a point. A rider does have to make a bona-fida attempt to race but the penalty is exclusion, so pretty pointless. As for Nicki Pedersen and anything he did, I doubt he was aware of the permutation and how finishing last would have meant no Aussie joker. Jesus, I doubt Boycey had thought about it, so Nicki certainly wouldn't have done!
  10. Lets be honest, Boycey makes Middlo look like he knows what he's doing. Completely tactically unaware. Anyway, I wonder if BFD enjoyed tonights team action? Better racing in tonight team meeting than any of he GPs this season by a long way!
  11. Should have put Crumpy in heat 24 - Holder has a joker record similar to that of Scott Nicholls. Would have also given him the chance to tweak the set up for heat 25. Probably wouldn't have been enough because the Poles would have got 2nd twice but still flawed tactically.
  12. I'll be cheering on the Swedes tomorrow. I don't like the Danes - any team with Nicki Pedersen is bad IMO and I don't like a few of the Aussies. The Poles as you say are sure to win so c'mon the Swedes. I think they can do it too.
  13. fickle? No, just admitting they were wrong. I don't think anyone had gone from not liking him to now liking him as a result of a decent SWC performance.
  14. A cup of tea Would prefer people wave English flags rather than Polish, Russian or Danish TBH.
  15. GB is England, Scotland and Wales. UK is the United Kingdon of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. So it's England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland As a Welshman, I agree it pedantic. Nobody moans when people wave a Cornish flag for Bomber in the GP's or would have done if they'd waved one for him and Ben this week. Call them Great Britain (not the patheticly naff sounding "Team GB") but by all means have people waving the flags of England (and hopefully one day Scotland and Wales)
  16. Hans Andersen And if you had stuck with the same team, that would have been truly pathetic team management. What was the excuse for the play-offs last year? Surely Mr Motivator and all round nice guy should have been able to get his guys to beat Coventry - who were the 2nd best team in the league by that point IMO. Rosco managed to somehow, convince the 2nd best team they could beat a team that were IMO head and shoulders above them.
  17. Really? Peter Oakes took bottom of the league Coventry to the title in 2005. Rosco took bottom of the league Coventry to the title in 2010. Middlo took bottom of he league Poole to bottom but 1 in 2009. He's not even tactically all that astute IMO. I'll say it again though, I don't really think he did anything wrong tonight - not without he benefit of hindsight and even then I'm not sure what he'd change to better things.
  18. He won the wooden spoon 2 years ago and then last season he had the best team in the league but failed to win the play-offs. I'm afraid I don't subscribe to the, "Middlo is a good team manager" line of thinking. He often messes up in the SWC too.
  19. Cricket is England and Wales. And in Rugby they're England because England, Scotland and Wales are separate. In motor sport we always compete as GB - No doubt someone will come up with some obscure motor sport that doesnt now
  20. I'm not so sure Middlo was all that bad tonight you know. OK the Joker vs Emil wasn't great but it had to be used on gate 1 ideally and Bomber had to be replacing Lewis. If Chris had got a clean start he may well have done it. Picking Bridger? Well, not great but who else was there? King or Stead? Equally as useless tbh. Have any of you looked up Steads SWC race-off and final record? Can't gets a 2nd place, let alone a win! We don't have the riders, so Middlo can't perform miracles. Bet he was pissed off when Darcy "Give him a GP wildcard" Ward was beat by Ben Barker though! Still can't believe he said that in the SStar a few weeks back! He should be bigging up Tai, Ed and Ben. That said, after tonight, 2 of them would have made him look a right mug if he had done. So maybe he has a point.
  21. Ben Barker did as I expected, the lad has ambition. When he moved from the PL to the EL he stepped up to the plate, he took it in his stride and did well. He did the same tonight. Ben gets dragged along by those around him. So pleased he proved 95% of people wrong! I still can't believe people were saying Stead should have been in, even with hindsight I'd not have Stead in for Kennett or Bridger. Stead is not good enough. Nor is King. In fact, the sad thing is, we have nobody, not one other single rider who wanted to be there would have made a blind bit of difference tonight. Don't think Nicholls would have made much difference either, he's pants at the SWC and he's riding badly at the moment too.
  22. Why? Whats Stead done to warrant a place? At least Barker has about 6 or 7 years before he's Steads age by which time he may be a SWC regular. Look at what the Danes did when Stekkers took over, dumped the old guard and brought in the kids - they went on to be a bloody good force for a few years - still are. They'll probably need to rebuild soon though.
  23. Or maybe he's marrying a British girl do he doesn't have to worry about visas in future he's looking at the bigger picture
  24. Scores the points though, which you can't argue with.
