Did you notice pre-meeting he said he wanted to make the final rather than his usual semi-final aim?! Maybe thats the difference?!
-
I never thought I'd be disapointed with a top 2 of Crumpy and Scotty but ARGH!!!! Well Done to Scotty and Crumpy!
-
Just got 50/1 on Scott on betfair! I'd take any rider at them odd once they've got to the final! C'mon Scott!!!
-
Go Scotty!!!
-
Best odds for Greg AFAIK is at William Hill, 7/1.

Gp Qualifying Points For Next Year Etc
SCB replied to robolots's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Look back over the years at the under 21 Champions and see how they have done in the GP or think about how they'd have performed. David Kujawa would have been embarassing in the GP's!! -
Gp Qualifying Points For Next Year Etc
SCB replied to robolots's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Can't happen, next years qualifying criteria is already in place. However, we already have wildcards so BSI could nominate Mark or Hans if they wanted to anyway and why would they want to nominate Mark anyway? His GP days are long gone IMO. -
When he signed for Newport I did a lot of research on Dawid and looked up loads of old score, I think it's fair to say only 2 or 3 were any good and impressed me. This looks like Dawids best ever meeting, apart from his Under 21 meeting at Peterborough. I wonder if he's still a Newport asett?!

Why the hell are all you girly keeping on about this? Everyone agrees with you, Hans was unfairley excluded. Do you think if you keep on the result qwill be changed? Hans will be made King of England? Bomber will score 0 in his next meeting? People agree with you, nobody seems to think it was right for Hans to be excluded but people have said, it happens, get over it!!!

Team Gb Captain Dignified In Defeat
SCB replied to FlyinRyan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
So if Poole signed Nicholls, Richardson, Harris, Stead, Louis and Loram you'd support another team? Maybe Eastbourne if they signed Hans Andersen, Puk and Charlie Gjedde to go with Nicki?! -
Like Tony Rickardsson vs Floppy Norris at Cardiff 2005? It happens, Harris committed a professional foul, get over it!

Could Hans Qualify?
SCB replied to Hans Andersen No1 Fan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No he cannot qualoify as he is not a GP rider. Only the 15 GP riders can qualify. Did Mark Loram make anyone look stupid when he finished 4th/5th (cant remember which) in 1999? -
BSI nominated about 5 reserves, Hans was nominated 1st reserve ahead of rider like Steffan Andersen and Kenneth Bjerre (can't remember the rest)
-
It's not really relevant tho is it? Bomber basically cheated the ref and cheated Hans and I sya that as a Bomber liking Hans disliking fan, anyone who can rememebr back to the SWC a few year ago with Hans now infamous little incident will remember I was on here getting quite irrate about it (before the commentators had seen it and emntioned it! Probably Millard commentating that day) and I've never really forgiven him yet even I can see Bomber was in the wrong.
-
Well he won his last ride, so if eh did quit now he'd quit as a winner. However, I have this funny feeling he'll win the last GP of the year and go out with a bang. I hope he does and I'm not even a TR fan!
-
I agree with that too. I stand by the fact I don't think Crumpy will worry about Hans as he's not a threat (he could prove quite useful in helping peg back his opponents!). However, I do agree he will want to beat him as Crumpy is a winner and will wnat nothing less than 1st place. I also think Crumpy is in such a position right now that he worries about nobody, he KNOW he can beat anyone, I'm sure Hans thinks the same way too. I can't wait to see them battle it out, 3 times hopefully (heats, semi and final).

Thats why this is so bad for me. My first two years in uni started in October yet this year they have moved it forward by a couple fo weeks. I did consider sending my parents to get the key for my accomodation and turning up on the Tuesday but I'll probably miss something really important on the Monday.
-
Maybe there's no reply because everyone agrees and we don't have some sad groupies sticking up for Chris "cos he is fit". Be a bit boring if everyone just replied, "I agree", so until someone says the referee got it right, there's not a lot to say really.

Meeting Announcer - Swc
SCB replied to Robyn1972's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I'd say its fairly obvious to anyone, speedway fan or not that the 1st bend is the one the riders get to when they leave the starts, clearly not any bend after it. I've never quite worked out the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th bend thing though, only track I have ever seen with 4 bends was Exeter, every other track only seems to have 2! -
Why does this GP have to be the week I'm back in uni
-
Cost a few ££££ more form there. I've just paid £5 less for a 1st bend seat. and it's also about £5 for a standing ticket. I also now know I'm in the front row on the 1st bend, so I'll have to make a banner!!
-
Ordering tickets is near impossible! I tried to pay with my card for an e-ticket but they'd not accept my card, so I thought I'd try the delivery of a tickets and the thieving swines want £35 to send the ticket to the UK. That more than doubles the sodding cost of a ticket. I'm so pissed off right now! I have everything sorted (I think) apart from a ticket for the actual speedway meeting, how hard can/should it be? edit> problem solved, stupid, crap, terrible system clearly!

I can't see Crumpy worrying about Hans. Crumpy would probaby not be too worried if Hans won the rest iof the GP's this year as Crumpy will be happy with 2nd in them all. He'd still be World Champion
