  1. I don't belive you, he spent last seaosn at Poole, he must be good. An off form Howe, a "down" Bird (not to mention an "up" Bird) and Kennett are all better than Ashworth on a good day.
  2. Got to agree. Shame it's not 8 man teams really, as I think with Harris, Screen and Norris added to that lot, we'd be pretty hard to beat, not many Nations have that much strength down to 8 riders! Might consider Harris for Stead at Reading if Stead really is as bad as some people suggest (and to be fair, Harris has rode better there this season than Stead did)
  3. People are mentioning Tony Rickardsson for Sweden, no chance. He has not got a great record in SWC finals (for turning up that is) and it's already been said (about the time of the GB vs Sweden meeting at Swindon that was rained off) that Tony was not likely to ride.
  4. tiger74, They'd be football or rugby fans then. As they're the only sports that seprate GB. Even the one code of rugby has a GB team!! Just about every other sport competes as GB, check it out if you don't believe me. Anyone not knowing what/what GB is, is clearly poorly educated or possibly from America.
  5. In this weeks Speedway Star Boycey named, Crump, Adams, Wiltshire and Sullivan and said the last team place was up for grabs between Shields, Schlein and McGowan, depending on how Sheilds returned from injury. I'm guessing that makes Shields the favourite. Crump Adams Sullivan Wiltshire Shields Schlein McGowan
  6. If thats true, it would not be the 100th GP then
  7. Crap idea! March, in the pubs etc trying to acvoid the rain, lack of atmosphere, people get to the stadum still wet and cold so the lack of atmosphere continues. I'd stay at home, have some drinks from the fridge and watch the GP on tele. being the 100th GP means bugger all to me, nor does the fact the winner will get some extra big prize fund. King Jamie, my dad said the same
  8. I'm considering the possibility of a trip to Prague to see the Czech GP. Any forum members going? Any been before who can suggest somewhere to stay (or not to stay). TBH, any information you have would be really apreciated.
  9. Chris Kerr? You need to be averaging more than 5 in the Pl at his age if you want to be a GP rider. He may make it as an EL second string one day.
  10. In fairness, not saying it right, but I have never rushed out for the train and always made it in time. Basically, the train waits until everyone is out. Last year we were the last people out of the stadium and still made the train, this yera I tried to get into a club with my sister but she had no Id so we decided to head back to Newport, knowing the train would not have left by 10.20.
  11. Or, buy a ticket, walk in throigh any gate you like, up any stairs you like and sit in any spair seat by a Pole. I went in gate 5 (4th bend) but my ticket said gate 1 (2nd bend). The guy on the gate just asked me if I knew where I was going, I told him yes and went and sat on the top tier. I walked past all the stewards and prentended I knew where I was going.
  12. The last Cardiff to Newport train was at 10.20. I got to the train station at 10.40 and managed to get on the trian that did not leave until about 10.50! We were tightly packed in too!
  13. I know we have the photos thread on the gneral discussion section of the forum but I know a number of people wanted to take photos of my stunning face this weekend so lets see your photos. BTW, I think we should have a competition for the best facial expression in a photo taken at Cardiff
  14. I'm told a member of this forum was having a strop at that point too! Mind you, he did have a £2 bet on him!!! Was it really that disapointing to lose £2 Robbo? Mind you, I was pretty gutted, I had an each way bet on Greg too, I was not too upset when he was excluded as I had Jarek Hampel in the sweepstake. That two years runing now that Cardiff finals have bene something of an anti-climax from a money making POV!! I like Crumpy tho so was not too disapointed. I seem to be meeting the same people over and over again now at Cardiff, does nobody different every bother coming along these days?! I think I only met 2 new people, tho I did meet some "old" people (who are not actually old, some of them are young ), which is always nice Not sure what my favourite moment was, there was Billy Janniros females friends show in Zync (one time Sams Bar, the blokes will be disapointed we did not arranage to meet in there first like we normally do ). There was Judge Jules and his pastie and there was Pinny and his hotdog.
  15. The blue groove was there after 1 lap. It was there from practice.
  16. To me and you, we thought the track was a shambles and we don't enjoy "passing" ebcasue of them kind of mistakes but to the ordinary man on the street, he likes passing, however it's caused. Could BSI be onto something? I hope not as I don't like the idea of seeing riders lives put in even more danger to make it more exciting!! BTW, don't matter where your tickets are for, sit in any empty seat you like! My ticket said gate 1, top tier about 3 rows from the back (2nd bend), I waked into gate 5 and up some stairs (but got to the hospitality suites!) eventually got to the top tier and walked around to the back row on the 3rd and 4th bend and sat where I wanted to sit!! Just pretend you know where you're going when a steward ask if you know where you're going! Don't look lost and they trust you!!!
  17. Tell her to get stuffed. Past old warbbling tart. There's no merit in having her there, we're probably paying £5 for the "pleasure".
  18. You staying Saturday night? If so, where will you be? My sister want to go out and I have to look after her but I don't want to be on my own with my sister! Wheres everyone else going to be on the Saturday? Do you mind if me and my sister (who is 16 I should add so might not get into a club, but she does go out in Newport and gets in ok) tag along. Or, does anyone fancy tagging along with me and my sister?
  19. Best place is Ticket Line. Walk from the Prince of Wales to the stadium and you walk past the office. this map show where it is. (the stadium is the void in the top left, wher eit says multimap) Westgate Street
  20. I phoned the stadium for the GP in 2001 and they said they had no problems with air horns or banners. How can BSI sell no-airhorn sections if the whole place is no-airhorn?!
  21. Exactly, so why not just play a few CD's? Should mean we pay about £5 less!
  22. I believe legally we shouldn't but BSI have no problem with it, so go for it.
  23. The problem is we are not allowed to take a camera into a sports event as we may take photos of kids. Us photographers argue we could just as eaily go to the high street or even worse (or better if thats what you're after) the beach! In France, you cannot take a photos without asking EVERYONE in the shot for their permission first, even if they're not the subject, if you can tell it's them you need their permission, are we heading that way too? Wouldn't it be a bit sad that we may potentially be unable to take pictures of our kids, sibblings, cousins and other friends and family just because of the odd pervert who is probably far more imaginative than me or you who would just whip out our camera and use it casually? I have a spy camera at home that I paid £20 for, I would hold it in my hand and get some footage and you'd never know! Any sicko would just use that kind of camera. For the record if I was going to take a photos of ANYONE I'd ask there permission, it make it clear I was taking a photo of them so if they had any complaint they could let me know and NO I would not take pictures of kids in the street randomly.
  24. How much are we paying for this crap? If I want to watch Bonnie Tyler I'll go to a Bonnie Tyler concert. Alas I never have and never will go to one of her concerts. They'll probably only play "Bonnie Tylers greatest hits" while she mimes anyway.
