  1. If you take Camptons last two meetings, both at home and at reserve then yes he did average 7.07. Add the 3rd and 4th meeting and he's down to 6. Add the 5th meeting and he's down to 5.6 and from 6 meetings he's down to 5.1. Hardly great seeing as two were in reserve and it's a 4/2 home/away split! If you're trying to argue he's a decent signing using stats I suggest you stop now!
  2. Hall should be a good signing but I thought that last year when he was at Sheffield. I certainly think this is one of the better teams announced. And the best Redcar team for a while.
  3. Correct, they become JRM about 4 years ago
  4. People complaining about Ellis, he's Swindons best signing this year!
  5. Decent top 4, bit iffy lower down. I know the argument will that all teams will be but Campton and Shuttleworth won't do much this year.
  6. Already said Ipswich look good but Sheffield are better.
  7. Some people just love taking the piss!
  8. Apparently so. Another reason why I don't know why people are getting so worked up about it!
  9. The more I look at the other teams in the league the more I think this team is brilliant.
  10. How does a plastic seat make someone tall sit down? The seats are literally plastic bolted on the concrete, ok they give you a back rest but I'm sure people will cope without them. They manage at numerous other tracks. Flood lights and fences are far bigger issues. He did and he's right when there are seats in there then there is not a lot of room.
  11. Why are people obsessing about the seats? They were only a bit of plastic bolted into the concrete, the concrete is still there for people to sit on!
  12. The rule is that foreign riders can't drop below 4 (I'd make it 6 at the PL tbh), not they can be signed on less. If we're using last years PL average then Anderson is a 7.
  13. This is obviously the "transparency" Buster promised last year when he took over as chairman! Or it could just be that Buster, the press, media and fans don't go well together - ask Lynn fans!
  14. Because Lasse is using his PL average. Like the rules say. Your new Dane isn't. FWIW, I don't blame Swindon in this. Rosco has just taken advantage of the BSPAs ineptitude. I'm not sure it helps them massively. 5 is probably about right tbf, he should average between 4-5.5. As I've already said elsewhere, I do feel Swindon have been treated harshly with Nick Morris' average anyway.
  15. It's irrelevant how good or bad he is. We're now using PL averages. Foreigners are a 7. He should be a 7. The fact he is crap just means he shouldn't be riding in our league at all! There should be a minimum assessed average to stop any old dross riding here.
  16. It's a bloody joke. We're told we're using PL averages but now they're giving Danes with World U21 experience 5 point averages. There is no justification for this. Well Done the BSPA, you bunch of utter morons!
  17. Sometimes, some people say it best when they say nothing at all!
  18. Seen a 0-0 at Coventry in 2009 vs Peterborough.I know Frampton, Kennett and Hansen were in the race and I think (and theres a fair chance as he likes to cause chaos) that Vissing was the 4th. Worst thing is neither Coventry rider did anything wrong, I remember that much
  19. 2000. It was 75-15 vs Arena Essex, the week after they went 14 heats 70-14 and set out reserves Bobby Eldridge and Chris Harris against Glasgow but Glasgow guest Scott Swain beat Chris Harris so Exeter only won 74-16. The week after that Newport "only" lost" 72-18 but we actually got a 2nd in heat 3 I think it was - and we celebrated like we'd won the league 3 weeks running and only dropping 4 points I bet they still lost every away meeting in that period though
  20. Hold the front page, todays biggest news isn't that Coventry Speedway appears to have been saved but it's that I agree with Fred Flange that Buster Chapman is inept as BSPA chairman (well I think thats what Fred is saying)
  21. Not an email address but his twitter is https://twitter.com/CllrStokes and his facebook is https://www.facebook.com/CllrMichaelStokes
  22. feck off with your trolling. Not the time or the place.
  23. Surely it makes more sense for Leicester to race at Leicester. Coventry fans are not going to want to travel to Leicester to watch racing on what is generally accepted to be a poor track, while Leicester fans are not going to support a team called Coventry. If Horton was going to toddle off to Leicester he should have done before announcing Lynch as Coventry manager and signing Kerr and the two Bjerres who would have been new (or old in Lasses case) Lions without a Coventry connection. Would have been far easier to get the Leicester fans to accept it as a Leicester team then. Now, even if Horton goes to Leicester and calls them Leicester they'll know it's just Coventry. Rubbish idea that will fail. If Coventry fans want to go to Leicester they can go and watch Leicester (but I'd suggest more would be found at Perry Barr, Monmore Green and Blunsdon than Leicester!)
  24. Im one of them mugs. Defending him so often. I got that one wrong. While I believe all those involved in the winter of 2010/11 played a big part in this, it's ultimately Sandhu who has killed the club. I'm sure he sold to Horton knowing his track record in the hope he would kill the club and he (Sandhu) wouldn't look like the bad guy but that failed so he's had to stick the knife in himself. Im sure Hortons not totally innocent in all this but Sandhu, if he cared about the club and the fans as he's claimed in the past could do more to help keep the club alive right now
  25. You just work out a new conversion. x1.4 /50 *42 which is 1.17 so round it to 1.2. It's not hard work unless your mathematically illiterate
