Which would surely make the shale they dug up worthless. BV eventually laid a track in a couple of weeks. Other clubs have put down tracks in weeks. Coventry are hardly the first club to relay a track in the winter. Seriously, if this was a real issue do you actually think that Coventry would have declared intent to run in the NL 24 hours ago?
-
Of course Swindon will have the same 7 riders. Why do speedway fans make this kind of thing so difficult? Will Mildenhall have the same 7 riders in all meetings? What about Birmingham? Nobody has confirmed either will, will someone confirm this for me? It's leaving me confused!
-
Thank God someone else sees it. I thought I was going mad! It's great news yet some people seem to have found the smallest of negatives in the news and gone to town on it!
-
It's actually WRX STI at the end of the Impreza if we're being pedantic
-
Here we have the news that two clubs with issues with their track declaring intent to run. It should be great news for that reason alone. It's also means team places for 7 more riders, more good news. It also means 2 more meetings for all the riders in the other teams, more good news. Yet speedway fans twist it into a negative, they find fault. FFS

He rode more meetings as a heat leader in 2015 (including at number 1) than in 2016 and 2014

For the delicate little flowers from Somerset, I point you on this direction..... http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=83273&page=1 In short, it's a discussion forum, for discussion. Some of you must be a barrel of laughs down the pub. "Oi, Dave, stop talking about the football. The topic right now is whats better, the Mitsubishi Lancer or the Subaru Impreza"
-
The point is that for every team that doesn't want to go up (or down) there will on average being 1 team not wanting to go down (or up). If everyone wants PL football then you have 3 happy teams going up and 3 sad teams going down. In speedway is everyone wants Championship speedway then you'll have 1 team happy to go down and 1 unhappy at going up. In any promotion/relegation you'll have winners and losers - even if the winners are not the winners and losers you might expect in speedway. Plus the league are not a million miles apart. Fans often ask can the league winners keep their 1-7 well a team moving up in speedway can now. In fact Somerset more or less have! Probably made less changes than if they had stayed.

Kurtz is one for the future but Batch gets "it" back he's a far better signing for this season but if he doesn't get "it" back anyone signing him will look foolish. If I had a fairly safe bet like Kurtz I'd shy away from Batch but I'd not turn down Batch if he asked to sign for my team.... If Poole do sign Batch (which I doubt they will) then I'd imagine Lynn will only be too happy to take Kurtz.
-
Weird logic. I'd argue there are no teams wanting to be relegated into the Championship in football but it still works!
-
No GC, theres only one side you agree with. And the exception to the rule is starman, whatever he says the opposite is true
-
Not it's not and because you think it is you're a smelly troll!
-
So Holder is Poland, Sweden and Australia then. He can't sign for Kings Lynn. I'm confused.
-
Denmark is Puks home league. Poland, Sweden and GB would be 3. Holders in Poland, Sweden and GB would be 3. I thought a riders home league was excluded?
-
Poole used R/R at Newport for Lukas Dryml who was riding in Poland. No facility for a rider riding in Poland and the EL teams had squads so were not allowed R/R. You do realise I dislike Poole because they cheat not they cheat because I dislike them right?
-
Starman won't reply. I must have asked the question about 10 times now over the years, I've yet to be given an answer.
-
It's called reality. You might like to try it one day. Just what rider has Middlo got hold of and moulded into a better rider than he was before he signed for Poole? Holder and Ward don't count as a blind man knew they were going to be good.
-
Didn't take off eh? I wonder why? Oh yeah, Poole cheating didn't help! Didn't work back in '03 when the EL was elite but these days it could work.
-
Like he did with the Aussie Champion last season who ended the season failing to beat an opponent? Or like he did with Doyle who was only ever a reserve at Poole for years but left and is on the verge of being a World Champion? Or the way he kept Darcy Ward on the atraight and narrow avoiding trouble with the police and the speedway authorities? If I had a kid who was a speedway rider I'd want him nowhere near Middlo.
-
The same one as Holder, obviously!

The argument was if Bewley got injured in his first few meeting that Glagsow could use R/R for him. If Bewley gets injured in the first few meetings his average will be 3.90, if you think a team can win anything with a 3.90 second string then you're barmy - I doubt you really are. Of course you can. I've maintained all along Bewley is a cracking signing. This is why it amazes me they're all getting their arse in their hands. I've said if he doesn't their team may be good enough to win the league. You'd swear I'd said they were going to lose every meeting. Sorry for only thinking Glasgow may be one of the better teams and not go unbeaten, how foolish of me
-
I've said no such thing. I said they were top heavy. Statement of fact. They have the highest averaged top 3 in the league. To quote yourself, "What utter nonsense!!!!" Statement of fact, I'll give you the number if you like. Glasgow as a % have used an excessive amount of points on their top 3, thats top heavy. You seem to be under the misapprehension that I think top heavy is bad and it's a criticism. That opinion. You may be right. If Glaggow have the best top 3 as you say at the start and have a "bottom 4 are as good as any in this league" then I look forward to congratulating you on going unbeaten all season.
-
Someone posted that Glasgow are not top heavy, I proved they were. Thats hardly "obsessed" it's a statement of fact. Madness I know on this forum/in speedway where opinion trumps fact. The point being made is that Bewley aside, Glasgow are bang average in some peoples opinion. Someone retorted that if Bewley did get injured early on that Glasgow could use R/R, so I pointed out that if you're able to use R/R then the riders signed are clearly not that good and Glasgow will struggle - so it's a crap argument. As for reaching 5.58, he dropped to 3.76. In fact his last 10 meeting were 2.27. His career averages are 1.22. 3.53, 3.13, 3.79, 1.00 (form 1 meeting so not really fair), 3.84 I don't think looking at them figures it's unfair to suggest he's found his level. Of course riders can come good but when making predictions it's generally a good idea to do it on some basis of fact and not just blind faith - if we're going to down the blind faith route why not just give ever team 7 riders pulled out a hat? After all, they all have the potential to average 12. You're a touchy lot. Lets go back to my initial comment, "Glasgow look like relying heavily on one rider. But it might be enough" - it's not like I've said they're rubbish, I've just said they're relying heavily on one rider and lets be honest, it's a damn good rider that is universally accepted as being a great signing. But if he does get injured then Glasgow are in trouble, at least by signing 2 or 3 good signing if one does get injured you have the others to cover.

You're posting on a discussion forum, the important word being "discussion" if you don't want people disagreeing with you or discussing don't post. People who disagree with you are not trolls. If someone says you are wrong explain why you're right. Stop behaving like 5 year olds who can only see one side of an argument or discussion.

This about it. Holder is signing or Lynn but Iversen wants to ride in the UK. Why would Lynn replace Iversen with Holder? Makes no sense. What does make sense is Holder wouldn't want to ride at Leicester but would love to ride at Lynn, so have Holder at Lynn and that free up Iversen to go to Leicester. That way Lynn and Leicester get a 12+ number 1 and everyone is happy.
