Swindon Robins V Leicester Lions 02/06
SCB replied to Sidney the robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think, possibly incorrectly that Freds point is that if IRR wasn't allowed as the injury wasn't picked up in this meeting then reserve replacement wasn't allowed in one of the heats either as the rules say that you have to have 3 rides, unless injured in the relevant meeting. And it's certainly how I read things. -
This is the only time I'll be posting on this thread anything Silver Bee has mentioned to me (as he big enough and ugly enough to post on here himself and cause his own rubbish without me for the record) but yes he has told me he won't be doing updates any more. I think that a shame, SB is what he is, a wind up merchant and piss taker. It does matter if it's his favourite rider or his least favourite rider, if he gets the chance of a dig or a funny comment he takes it. There almost never any malice, those who are friends with him will know that nobody is safe from a barbed comment from him - in fact I worry when he's nice to me and I'm one of his best friends. But you know what, he'll take rubbish back too. He hasn't told me this but I think the reason he's stopped doing the updates is because he doesn't want to cause upset, that not his intention. Yes wind people up, yes have a laugh but not genuine upset. I've already admitted that I posted this for a laugh and to stir, as much aimed at SB and it worked as he rung me up and called me a prick for posting it I'll just point out, I have still not, after a 6 page thread, as yet, given my opinion on Richie Worrall. For all you guys know I find him thoroughly entertaining, utterly dull or somewhere in the middle. Maybe if you buy me a pint one day I'll tell you my true thoughts

what that list shows is there nothing between them. Mind you, I question the list as Harris is very close to them and his recent form has been suspect.

If you think about it, far better to lose to a team like Leicester than a team like Lakeside who you're battling for the play-offs with if you want to try and look on the bright side Swindons fans. Meanwhile the rest of us will chuckle at the fact a team have lost at home to Leicester. -
King's Lynn V Wolverhampton 2/6/16 7.30pm
SCB replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
But still illegal. You can't have a guest for a second string (which Busk-Jakobsen is now) so it should be r/r. -
They've turned up tonight! Check out the lines ups for all the meetings taking place! Guests galore!

So Lynn making up MORE rules. They are using Lambert to replace Busk-Jakobsen. How does that work? Your #9 can only replace double uppers so how is he replacing a "1-5 rider" who is in reserve? The whole thing continues to stink! -
Belle Vue V Coventry 30th May, 2016

On the both team having 5 British riders thing, have you noticed that the British Final contains 4 Bv riders and 5 Coventry riders (ok Ben Barker is only a Coventry rider in name as he's not raced for us but still...) I think both clubs should be making a big thing out of this and should rightly be proud of it! -
Heat 15, Who Can Replace A Rider Who Breaks The Tapes?
SCB replied to erniew's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Main thing here is they have fixed a stupid rule! Now to change the rule that says if you move but dont touch the tapes you get punished more than if you just touched the tapes! -
Lakeside Hammers V Wolverhampton Wolves - 1 June On Sky
SCB replied to TonyE's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
rubbish meeting. Always is from Lakeside and in the EL and in Sky. Being serious, yet another great meeting on Sky this season. Dodgy track maybe but so was Coventry and Poole on Sky and they were pretty good too. More bumps and piles of dirt please! -
IF there is no Coventry it would make a lot of sense for Leicester to try and sign a few Bees riders. Try get a few Bees fans to attend with no real down side.

Then they'll have to queue. And if they refuse to start meeting late for the queueing people they'll soon learn to turn up earlier to queue or print off at home. Pay your £1 and you can turn up last minute without the need to queue and not missing any racing. -
Not having a dig but this is why we shouldn't be commenting. It's too easy for the "facts" to be lost in translation. In the UK if I was to sleep with someone on their 16th birhtday it's OK, if I sleep with them the night before they turn 16 it's "statutory rape" which would make it look like I was a rapist but 24 hours later just a bit of a weirdo. Lets just wait and see what he is charge with, if anything and then I'm sure one of the Swedish posters will explain what that means. In the mean time I hope that this ends up being something and nothing.

Far too much was made out of the Bjerre thing. He cost you a single point in what was a lapse in concentration/forgetfulness. We've all made mistakes!

Leicester Lions V Lakeside Hammers - 28 May Elite 'b' Fixture
SCB replied to TonyE's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I wouldn't take any notice of them as a guide to 2016 form. Try, http://speedway-stats.co.uk/Team/18 -
Actually, Sarjeant is averaging more this season than he started the season on. He's just not averaged as much in his 8 meetings this season as he did in his first 8 for Glasgow last year. He started on about 5.1 but is averaging about 6

Swiderski have averaged 7.4 with bonus points. 6.47 without. Kennet will get about the same. -
They can't replace him. He has an assessed average. The only way they can replace him is if he quits.
-
You'd take 7 from 4 for a guy who started the year on 5.8 every time! Not his fault he was thrust into heat 15 unprepared. And that he's riding as a heat leader. The guys havign a great season and if 7 from 5 is one of his worst scores I think it shows! Except they do! Ash Morris has a 10.86 average this year so is better than both. OK his meetings were in the NL. Freddie 8.64 and KK 8.16. 3 of Freddies meetings were at second string too. There naff all between them tbh. Include Freddies 3 guest bookins in 2016 and it's Lindgren 8.13 and KK 8.16 Take into account Freddie had 3 meetings at second string too..... and stats don't lie!

When it comes to sarcasm I think we can both agree on this one, we're both liberal users of it! Its what makes our chats on here so much fun I'm still not seeing the relevance that he "broke the tapes", it doesn't matter if he broke them or touched them, its all the same thing in the rulebook. The rule, basically say if you touch (or break) the tapes with your bike you're excluded but touch (or break) them with anything else and you're not excluded for it. Now interestingly, your understanding with 15.3.1 being a sub of 15.3 was my reading too but I got outargued and gave up. I am only too happy to concede that you're right on that one. It's a terribly worded rule anyway even alloing for the fact it's an, IMO (and seemingly yours) sub rule too. See we can agree? If thats the argument then I take back my initial statement that the referee was was wrong yesterday, then I change it to just harsh and inconsistent in excluded Steve after he had given him the green light to do it in heat 2 only to then exclude him for it in heat 4! -

You stated he broke the tapes (which he did) and I pointed out it had as much relevance as what you had for tea. A rider can be excluded for one of two things. 1. His bike touches the tapes, if that happens he starts from 15 or is replaced by a reserve. Or a rider is excluded for delaying the start by moving/jumping/rolling but no replacement is allowed. Worralls bike didn't touch the tapes, his helmet did so thats no exclusion and if the referee excluded him for jumping/rolling/moving (which he could have done) then no replacement was allowed. As for you sarcy comment about breaking tapes, heres what the rules state, His BIKE has to break the tapes, they didn't it was a his helmet. Same as heat 2 when he wasn't excluded (sorry, disqualified) You're right about excluded/disqualified. Slap my wrists!
