Technically they didnt stop Hall. Just said his average was too high. BUT I agree. This is a rubbish move that does nothing for the NL and does nothing for Coventry.

Or the precedent of Matt Ford cancelling a meeting against Lakeside because he didn't fancy it.

You have got it arse backwards. Thats like saying, "All pregnant people are women so all women must be pregnant". The rule is a #8 can only replace a 1-5 rider. Not a #8 can only ride in the 1-5. Now I'm happy to concede that is EDRs stay EDRs even in the 1-5 (for guest purposes) then a 1-5 rider in reserve is STILL a 1-5 rider. So Kai can replace Busk-Jakobsen but where in the rules does it say he then has to ride in the 1-5? It doesn't. -

Neil, can you explain how Kai Huckenbeck will ride at number 2? His averages is lower than that of Lewis Rose so surely Rose rides at 2 and Huckenbeck at 6 or 7? -

About a 15 minute fairly brisk walk from the train station side of the stadium. Nobody at all is going to find it by accident, it's outbid the way. Previous locations were where the people(speedway and non-speedway) were. Probably not very easy to find for a non-local. -
Nothing wrong with the track tbf. Just a pretty dull line up.

All you do is run both leagues on PL converted averages. Season 1 the PL has a 45 point limit and the EL 55. The following season you have points limit of 42 in both leagues. The conversion rate would be about 0.9. You wouldn't actually have a "stronger" league then, 10% isn't a lot but allows some improvement when you move up but more realistically when moving up a league you'd just be able to keep last years league winning team if you wanted. Same for the team dropping down. It would also make an inter-league KOC viable. The only issue I see is that at the moment the average EL clubs has what, 3 double uppers? 2 draft rider and 1 other. That means of the 8 EL teams they will have to find 3 rider riders eachs, thats 24 new riders. That either 30 new NL riders (not already riding EL or PL) or 30 new foreigners (by the time some riders retire/quit). I just don't see where they're going to come from! -

TBF It's never been near the shops. It's either been by the bars and pubs or in front of the railway/bus station. You're more likely to walk past shops to get to it now. It's probably not where it was originally (St Mary Street) as it clogged up and causes chaos and later in the day it gets very busy if they've not packed up in time for all the drunks to come out. I certainly won't be making the effort to go and see it where it is now. -

"Reduced to £2.50". Reduced? £2.50! Christ. You can tell it's a long time since I bought a programme! -
Bate or Ellis, 12 months ago was Bates but this season Ellis has been pretty good. Even scored a few points as a heat leader. TBH, it's irrelevant as I hope nobody get injured so they won't get a ride and both should be there in the pits. As for Garrity, well for the 4th rider we have to pick from Harris, Nicholls, Worrall, Garrity, King sort of riders. Harris and Nicholls are yesterdays men, in fact Nicholls never did it when he was at his best, he was often crap in the SWC. Harris no longer does it outside of the EL and he can't get around the NSS in the EL. You're left with King, Worrall and Garrity. King again has had a few chances, never done it and we're picking him off the back of one meeting really. So you're down to Worrall or Garrity. Nowt between them but Garrity is almost 3 years younger and in the recent BV/Coventry meeting was better than Worrall - Worrall beat draft riders while Garrity beat (form the back) Cook and Nicholls. I just don't rate Worrall that high, he's ok but he'll never amount to much, Garrity could if he calms down and make a few changes. Who would you have as the 4th man?

Don't think he ride in Denmark and it's rare he ride in Poland, he's a bit part player at best in recent season.
