  1. Interesting how things change in speedway, a bit like Scott Nichols shirts. Talking of his shirts I'm sure Scott would have rather been riding in a championship semi against Redcar on Saturday night rather than having to sit in a studio as a Speedway pundit
  2. I was being sarcastic. The Lions should have been racing Redcar this Saturday and this would have meant the final would have been held 11th and 12th.
  3. Does anyone really think the track will be prepared the same way as for the pairs
  4. Chris Harris now at 1 for the rebels and Rory at 3. Based on last night the rebels top 5 likely to outscore tigers top 5 so again the reserves will have a crucial role. They might have only got 1 point last night but they tried there heart out and I'm sure they will be in the points tonight. So rebels to win but hopefully cookie and rasser can do the business in heats 13 and 15 and we sneak a win on aggregate. Fingers and everything else crossed. Just a pity that the winners will have to wait 2 weeks for the final with Leicester being allowed to prioritise NL fixtures over the championship
  5. And if the cubs reach the final of both competitions presumably they will again take priority over the Lions should the Lions make it to the championship final? Of course if the bears win that would make life a lot simpler, one can but hope.
  6. plus thanks for your assessment of Somerset's reserves, who would have thought it
  7. What planet are you on. Can you not read, OK silly question, you are from the Worky area so no need to ask. I thought the meeting would be on. Surprised when the message came through it was off as the Tigers Facebook team seemed confident it would be on. I turned back rather disappointed then read that both Glasgow and Somerset officials confirmed the ref made the decision. How am I defending the indefensible? Now if I had said that Jenga and Taylorj were two of the most likeable and sensible people on this forum I can understand why people might think I was trying to defend the indefensible, but I haven't and won't.
  8. Don't know that it is interesting other than confirming that it was the ref that decided the track wasn't fit for racing.
  9. It was called off at c6pm after positive messages from the clubs social media team. So the club must have thought it would be on based on weather forecast and the fact our track can dry out quickly. They had opened the gates andThere were fans already in the stadium. So yes the host club will have bills to pay. At least the forecast for today and tomorrow is OK.
  10. So this confirms that it was the ref that called it off without consulting anyone?
  11. There is a lot of merit in an early postponement but not when all forecasts suggest it will be dry from lunchtime on wards.
  12. Met office weather forecast now suggests less than 5% chance of rain from 6pm onwards. Should be a cracker tonight, just need a big crowd to cheer the lads home
  13. Met office weather forecast suggests it will be dry from 12 noon onwards. Hope MBA is fully fit and youngsters Kyle and Connor continue there recent good form as we need them to score well if we hope to take a lead to Somerset.
  14. At least you can rely on Richard Lawson. It's a funny old game though with Richard I believe now booked to guest for the Lions in the playoffs as his average has dropped to 8.24 compared to Richie Worrall 8.25.
  15. Just ignore him, Jenga I mean. I have and the forum is a much better place. The only thing is you need to stay logged in otherwise it doesn't work.
  16. Some cracking racing once again tonight with the Glasgow youngsters getting in amongst the points. Sam Jensen what a find, totally fearless. Connor Bailey is learning all the time and is really going to be a star with Kyle unlucky against Sheffield but getting his reward against the bandits. A mention also for Ben Barker. He tried his heart out but wasn't rewarded with a big points total. Just a pity a lot people seem to have been put off by the weather forecast.
  17. I blame his great great great grandparents, if they hadn't got together none of this would have happened.
  18. Totally agree. Interesting to see who Leicester pick. Puts pressure on there management team to get it right. Nothing worse than finishing top and getting knocked out in the semis.
  19. I'll give you a few clues and see if you can work it out. Tonight Rasmus unbeaten by an opponent in a match curtailed by rain, last night at Peterborough on a track frequently described as having had a lot of rain and difficult Rasmus was superb. Against Scunthorpe he couldn't turn the bike.
  20. Can't see what's wrong with me having an opinion. I take it you think the berwick track isn't too narrow?
