  1. The point i was trying to get over was, he should not be slagged off, he did the best he could, other riders are not performing either so he should not be singled out.
  2. Sod the remaining fixtures, should have been replaced the minute he was injured I don't think anyone should decry the effort any speedway rider puts in, he should simply be thanked for trying his best. In Alex's case the last injury was one too far, and just hasn't come back from it. The reason he has been in the team so long is simply the management did not make a decision when it needed making and replace him much earlier
  3. So why hasn't Vissing been replaced, I don't know of manyt fans who don't realise r/r dosn't work and neithe does guest if your average is so low.
  4. Talk about someone with a big chip on his shoulder. We are people who speak our mind, nobody should be scared of open opinion it's what British democracy is based on. We are usually referred to as the vocal minority, where as in fact we are the more vocal part of the vast majority. Some of the advocates of everything is OK should pop into the B&G after a meeting and listen to what the fans are airing.
  5. Just the conspiracy theorists that is.
  6. For Leon thats really local, he already put in huge miles, he's really lucky to have grandad Tony.
  7. The highlight of the meeting for me was young Leon Flint and Kyle Bickley. I am so proud to sponsor Liam, a lot of speedway riders could learn a lot from young Leon in how to treat sponsors, and from someone so young. Both these lads are part of the future in speedway but only if speedway is still running when they reach the right age. SO DAMNED PROUD OF YOU LEON, A REAL PLEASURE TO SPONSOR YOU.
  8. My fault didn't see the other post, then didn'y know how to delete it
  9. Lets hope that forecast is wrong and it stays dry enough to race
  10. Riders at Marketta are taught track craft, not so at the other tracks, as far as I am aware.
  11. it's a pity only 4 out of the 13 riders could ride Berwicks track last Sat, and Cook rode it well
  12. I believe they are using lots of anaesthetic, some from potatoes from ireland.
  13. Aggrevated a previous disc injury, was also moaning about his hip aswell on sat night.
  14. I have a huge sympathy in what you are saying about certain riders, but if you assemble a team, then prepare a trrack that does not suit their style of riding, who is to blame. Riders like Doolan and Cook have good track craft and have the ability to adapt, not all riders have that ability, I suppose the question is if they don't have that ability, should they have been selected in the first place.
  15. Why oh why, would anyone want to struggle with the fans, Fans have an opinion which must be taken on board, in my opinion they are the most important factor to anyone running a speedway club, without them we have no speedway, and it is irrelevant to how much money is put into the club if it is not rewarded by fans turning up week in week out. Only a fool would ignore the opinions of it's customer base.
  16. There is nothing wrong in preparing a track in the way it was prepared, as long as it suits the majority of your riders, no point if they havn't got the confidence to ride it. It was obvious that Doolan and Cook were able to ride it, and give credit to Jorgessen he rode it well as well as did Sissis. We didn't really get the chance to see how Thornblum, Carr and Garrity would have ridden it. The question I suppose is, should a track be prepared in a way that dosn't suit the majority of your team. I thought the track looked OK, but I have to bow to the opinion of the riders who had to ride on it.
  17. As a Berwick fan I have beefed on about track prep for a long time, as many on here will confirm. The track on Saturday was prepared like a track would have been about 15 years ago, I know what a rut is, those wern't ruts, just a loosly prepared track because of new shale, as confirmed by Kevin Doolan when interviewed with a lot of grip in places. It was a track you had to take it easy on to begin with and buld on it as your confidence increased, problem is younger riders don't have that experience.
