Agree, a racing incident

Sitting upright on a motorbike going around a bend, have you ever ridden a motorcycle, I lean over in my car going around a bend, as a biker it is just a natural thing you do. Looking at the recording Jorgensson looked to be in the lead, so throttle response applies to both riders, obviously neither chose to do so, something had to give.

Correct, they have no interest in speedway whatsoever, or i would, don't want to bring them along under sufference. Perhaps I would if i din't like them I will still miss speedway though, have to priorotise, family come first.. You can can count on one hand how many meetings I have missed in 15 years.

Sadly another meeting i will miss, for what it's worth should be a close meeting all depends on the reserves and what you get from the dreaded r/r. But on balance 44----46.

I wasn't there, so I re-run the incident several times. I would put it down to a racing incident, 2 riders going for the same bit of track. Isn't that why it is called racing. When you are in racing mode you are gunning for position, I would say both riders were just doing that.

Berwick Bandits are very lucky to have the use of Berwick Rangers Stadium, speedway clears up any mess made after a meeting, but the stadium lease is owned by Berwick Rangers Supporters Club who maintain the stadium.

Well I had a choice last night, cancel my banjo lesson to go to speedway or not. I decided learning to play the banjo gives me more pleasure than speedway at Berwick at the moment, so it was my banjo lesson. This Saturday my stepson and grandson fancy a pint, didn't hesitate. a few bevvies with your family or speeday. no contest.

My question is, why was a Wednesday night chosen when it could have been Tuesday or Monday, knowing that Wednesday is Danish league night.

Just been speaking too an ex promoter, he mentioned a wage cap, but remembered the last time in PL the club that was asking for the cap was the first club to break the rules. If there is to be a cap it must be fixed, and not include a top up via sponsorship, no reason why someone should not sponsor a rider directly, but not topping up point money. He also said the fun was no longer in speedway, and the fans are the older ones who getting older and dying off, with very few youngsters coming on board to replace them.

In your dreams Shads £500/£600 if you dont need any parts, in general £1200 to £1500 for a rebuild. Really sad about Scunny though.

As a fan, I tell you what is unfair, I want a full Berwick team against a full Peterborough team. I dont mind losing to a better team as long as we go down fighting, dont want another meeting like Glasgow, yes Berwick won and some fans eyes a win is a win, but Glasgow turned up with 2 riders in race mode, thy result was Berwick were flattered by the score.

Pity we didnt have more long track in UK much faster, great racing.

Concidering the financial state at Berwick, it makes sense not to reduce the prices, make hay while the sunshines. On previous occasions when the prices were reduced at Berwick it did not make a blind bit of difference in the attendance, it did achieve a reductioin in revenue. Giving a free programmes is in effect a reduction, also another free programme on the Sat if you keep your ticket is a bonus. To be honest, just as a financial decision there should be no free programmes, this is a business and it needs to balance its books.

Any chance I get I go to Czech, I can remember being at Marketa for the Czech GP thought it was brilliant, then I watched it back on video hmmmm. Damn Czech friends and Slivovice. :drink:
