Thought they were getting an unknown Danish rider who had not ridden in the UK. I think Martin rode for Poole. probably wrong on the team -

There you are this weeks quiz

More like 'Flimm & Flamm,
-
It's only my opinion, it was a track that doled out 60---30 home wins. Some fans like different types of tracks, I think it would make a great training track.
-
Wasn't into speedway in those days, but when you talk to old fans they are very sentimental about it. For me it was far too small a track and would probably not suit modern machinery. Listening to old fans again that were involved, it seemed to struggle at times in the way that it was managed. Someone told the story I think was Richard Knight had not been paid so went to the office and took it all in change in a carrier bag, might be the wrong rider though. It did however seem to be a more fan based then than now.

I don't disagree with you, but it is a catch 22 situation, if you don't replace it is likely gate money will drop even further, I would say it is critical now, can the club afford to do thatn't think so. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

The weather statistics are available for everyone on line, it is fact that May this year was slightly below the seasonal average, but not significantly. May comes around every year as does June , July & August, all with very similar weather patterns, with a wet summer about every 5 years. No head in the sand, facts are there for everyone.
-
Strange statement, as far as I am aware, British weather has existed for a very long time now. A fact for you, British climate ahas chsanged very little in 120yrs, it has become slightly warmer in the winter, but speedway is not on then. I was taught something as a youth, never run an out door event in June,

I really hope you are wrong, fingers crossed hey!.

Vissing was heavily committed on The Continent, so a replacement would have no more or less commitment. The option for the club, if it is true it is for sale (rumours have it), it is to maintain a going concern, to maintain it's sale value. It is not ideal to lose Vissing, but surely the viability of the club should come first.

Unfortunately a lot of fans feel the same. The arguament given is it will give the riders we have extra point money and will help them financially. It does not normally affect your 1, 3 & 5 riders very much as they are scoring higher point money anyway, it would be more beneficial for your No. 2,4,6 & 7, so it would have more benefit to them to have the extra rides. In truth it benefits the club financially on paper, but has the potential disadvantage of losing gate receipts, which is a much bigger disadvantage. So for me, if riders are available replace them now, before any major damage is caused.

If she came down here would be burnt at the stake.

Dont worry Colin has a sense of humour.

In your dreams Col. Just had a thought though, you know all that gold you have in your teeth, that you had removed, could you not sell the gold to Ramsdens and use it to sponsor Richard Hall.
-
Also, like Hynek said on Saturday, the reason a rider likes Berwick is the way they are looked after by the fans, and the supporters club.
-
This may be a bit simple, but there is no club without the riders, if the club do not find a way to support their own business, then it will fail. I know you are going to say there is no club without the promotion putting their money in. but for me it takes three things, a) the riders, b)the promotion, and c) the most imprtant the paying customer, no business without them. The supporters club do an amazing job in supporting riders, which ultimately supports the club,. The amount of money available to support a rider depends on how much is in the kitty. They could do what they did for Hynek, and do a collection, but we have no speedway for 3 weeks.
-
I hope you are not suggesting me mind, spent enough on speedway riders
-
If Richard puts a request in to the supporters club, it is something they would concider, I don't think the 2012 club would have that much. May I suggest the V.I.P. club go halves with the supporters club, it would be a nice sign of unity in a crisis.

I would but it won't let me log in, it keeps kicking back the password, tried changing password. I am not brilliant on the computer, I will always look for the easy method, this was simplest way around it. So you will just to accept I am now TO THE POINT, get used to it.

I tried that over and over again, till I got fed up, it was easier to change the whole thing, I even had to use a different e. mail address as it would not accept my normal one.

Every angle I tried, it said it was in use.
