Thought you would have seen enough of the tractor racing after last week -
New carb from blix about £600. I keep in contact, as I do with alot of x riders. Yes, I think he would come back. The last question, havn't got a clue.
-
Pulled out of speedway for personal reasons, his head was all over the place. I believe he has 2 bikes ready but needs carb. It's the way I would go.

Thats a shame, I would rather lose trying hard than win by default. -

The last time Sky came, it was pretty obvious that there was an abundance of children getting in free in the hope bthey would be on the telly. That is not a bad thing if they convince their parents to bring them every week and you gain the £15 off dad or mum, but sadly it is more than obvious that crowds are falling, my guess is if there are people who want to be on the telly, then cash in on it, take the £15 admission and also the Sky money it makes sound business sense. Passing on any gain to the fans, your club is struggling financially just does not make common sense. It is really good that Sky are coming back Don't forget Sky is part of the problem, by televising the smaller clubs allows fans to sit in the comfort of their own home, depriving the club of it's revenue. -

With all of your contacts and all of your know how, the club ahould be coming down under the weight of sponsorship, it should also with your significant knowledge be financially successful. I am not knocking the dedication of the Commercial Manager, but should this position be done by a full time self employed person on a commission basis. Yes, you get to keep 100% of what is brought in, but is not better to get 80% of twice as much. My pokey little shop gives me a comfortable living, you can knock it as much as you like, but my customers continue to return again and again with regulars from Newcastle and Edinburgh, so cannot be doing anything wrong. It's not long till retirement now so it's all I need. -

I dont have the official one, I have a Rocky one, he takes the bother to produce it delivers it, puts one in Skellys at the same time, he also puts one up every month in barrels. Even when he had the stroke, he sent his wife up with a new poster. -

I agree with you the posters are good quality, and producing them is a massive step forward in informing the public, Surely it is a positive suggestion to get the posters into as many places that you can. Having a massive pile in the track shop or in the O2 shop hoping that someone will collect them is as useless as a chocolate fireguard and defeats the whole point If you don't tell them, they won't know, by telling them you stand a chance of some coming to speedway. There is no doubt the two main camps Haggerston and Magdaline Fields, do their damdest to keep their happy campers on the sites to get as much revenue as they can. We are however surrounded by many independantly run caravan sites who do not. -

The posters surely are not aimed at the fans or the few that recieve the newsletter, these fans come anyway, the posters are for the public at large to inform them that speedway is on, and try and get new faces on a Saturday night. It is commendable that posters have been printed, but to rely on self distribution is crazy, for example most B&B providers are not interested in speedway but would gladly put up a poster, however it is unlikely collect one to put up they need to be distributed. This surely is the Commercial Managers job Very close to the club -

A little complacent in my opinion, approx 14 pubs ,4 supermarkets 20 + cafes/restaurants, 20 + shops that display posters, B&Bs in the dozens plus hotels. I display one of Rockys posters which he produced before the club produced one, and proud to do so. I will emphasise it is not my job to chase posters but the clubs to distribute them, in the same way that Berwick Rangers do. Is this not the reason the club has a Commercial Manager. -
Certainly it.s worth a punt, but surely 2 other signings are needed aswell, even if on a temprorary basis to cover injuries.

I would love to see posters everywhere, Commercial Managers job to distribute them, not in the vague hope that someone will collect one and display it. Hope the comment is taken as constructive, as the poster cammpain is important, I have seen more of Rockys version in the town than the official one. -

Not me, all the fans that are saying it around Berwick, as said don't know if it's hearsay or not. Hope for the sake of Berwick they have signed someone though.
