There were only 3 good races… the rest showed little entertainment with quality riders unable to gain ground on riders in front. i used to go to Sheffield around 8 times a year….simply because it was a great racing track….this is no longer the case and I then went once a year hoping to get back to Sheffield’s former glory as a real race track Watched a meting at Workington recently… super racing on a well prepared track and an absolute pleasure to see what a great track they have.

Len Silver used to put his top 4 in heat 19…. So if a run off was required then a heat 20 breather before the run off

One good race and the rest was follow my leader. When quality racers struggle to pass then it just shows a track prepared for gating and entertainment goes out of the window. Enjoyed the racing from Birmingham shown tonight in the track grade intervals. When will promoters get in their heads that ENTERTAINMENT should be their priority

They announced on BSN that the ref could not watch a replay as per normal procedure due to a technical fault… so his eyes were his only evidence. on the replay it certainly looked as if it was a wrong decision…. Just an unfortunate decision

Great to see the meeting is on a Saturday which will maximise travelling support. Also having our three SGP riders in is marvellous

Should be a good match with Ipswich having NSS specialists. Expect a reasonable win

I sincerely hope that Celina is given a good run to establish herself in the team.Preferably the whole season. All new riders need to be given a chance. At Redcar and Workington she battled to go from 4th to third showing her potential. A long time ago, I saw a young Danish rider in the Wu21 championship.. Sabrina Bogh… she got 8 points and was passing riders on the bends. She was crowned Danish U21 champion with a field containing a lot of talented riders… cannot remember the year now.. Good luck Celina.. keep the faith and show progression during the year.

Track was iffy.How much work was done before the late start.. no idea. Some reasonable racing later on but racing was satisfactory without being able to call it a good meeting. I have enjoyed many meetings at Sunny in the past and hope to in the future

Good signing and we now have a wonderful set of youthful riders who have great promise for the future. Watching the Colts develop and climb the ladder of success gives me great pleasure

Only one word to describe the meeting…..BORING Most people accept that Marketa is a very difficult track to pass on.I have seen some good meetings there in the past. Sadly the Czech federation keep the SGP at Marketa even though the Pardubice track yields great racing at a stadium that can hold more than Marketa. When I first went to Pardubice for the Golden Helmet I stayed in Pardubice. Later I stayed in Prague and got the train to Pardubice combining the beauty of Prague and seeing the meetings in Pardubice. Dreadful advert for the Sport I like the Teterow track so hopefully we will see an entertaining meeting.

Good to see the Premiership highlights on QUEST..Especially as they show all 15 races and leave out the interviews.

I used to love going to Kings Lynn bank holiday Monday… Lynn vAces 1100…pm meeting at Rye house….evening internationale at wimbledon Always rated Lynn in my top 3 sadly in recent years the quality of racing has deteriorated such that I do not rate the track at all… often well prepared track with grip everywhere an no advantage whatever line you use.

The bspl ignore or change the rules as they see fit….. have done for the last 50 years

It was the days of rider control where BSPA evened the sides out…. No mathematical average in those days

That is not the point..it is the fact that we lost a heat leader and replaced the rider by one of the Belle Vue Colts and therefore a weakened team

Everybody had the same average to work towards so do not see why you are paying the price. 1970 ..Aces won the league…rider control insisted we lose a heat leader which we did…. Replaced by a Belle Vue Colt 1971.. won the league again… again rider control insisted we lost a heat leader which we did…replaced by a Belle Vue Colt 1972 won the league again… rider control insisted we lose a heat leader and Ken Eyre…Aces released Ivan Mauger as the heat leader to lose 1973.. came second Tremendous achieve this considering the above

It is strange that Belle Vue ,Speedway star and Discovery have all announced the signing of Zagar whereas nothing on the Bspl web site This is alarming
