  1. When you can only pick from two teams, it becomes farcical and an extremely limited choice. Whatever the outcome, RR is the right choice for me
  2. Very disappointing for all those Swindon fans. it would be a shame to lose a club with a long history in Speedway
  3. No problem picking the side woffinden and Bewley Brennan as u21 Robert Lambert not ride in uk and Dan is home track rider with proven top performances recently t NSSS
  4. Having seen footage on Eurosport of the track work prior to the meeting, it is no surprise that the racing would be more of a lottery. Trollope was taking the top surface of the track… it was a thick slurry being removed to get the meeting on and created a lottery of a result. Riders rode in really difficult conditions and we all know if it were earlier in the season it would have been off. just grateful that nobody got seriously hurt and the aces got a favourable result.
  5. The rain before the meeting made the track awkward to say the least. well done to Peterborough who will now feel they are favourites to go through. Peterborough is a far superior track to Wolves whatever the conditions. recentl watched Peterborough v Newcastle from a few years ago…. Cracking meeting
  6. Great news. Hopefully 2021 will be a learning curve for next season Sincerely hope your co promoter is a strong minded business man who can help Newcastle move onward
  7. I have no problem with play offs as an extra part to the season…preferably with a good sponsor who makes it worthwhile. The Champions should be the team at the top of the league… The Play offs can be the” SPONSOR team play off winners 2021 or whatever
  8. I knew it was black when I started Speedway… assumed it had always been black
  9. the Provincial league started in 1960 as far as I remember. A black league not associated with the BSPA. eventually at the end of 1964, the British league was formed involving the former Black PL and the National League (BSPA) I applaud the iow for providing Speedway in 2021. There is room for both…. The BSPL should let others run unhindered and hope that Speedway progresses as quickly as possible
  10. It would be shameful if Newcastle closed… Hopefully, there will be some good news
  11. Just watched heat 14.. super race it must be Connor Mountain’s best score in the Premier league.
  12. Good result for Peterborough. Overall poor entertainment regards quality of racing.
  13. The poles have a rigorous format for progressing youngsters up the ranks and that is why they continue to dominate the Team U21.. in Britain, we have a scheme which is helping the youngsters progress…. But a diluted format in comparison to the Poles. Denmark has an 85 cc league with many clubs taking part… some stand alone clubs… which goes a long way to providing good young Danish riders.
  14. Good to see KL name their first two riders for 2022.
  15. Great racing from both sides and a surprising result. Mildenhall produced some good team riding providing a healthy lead by the end of heat 12. I am sure the Mildenhall fans that made the journey had a broad smile all the way home
  16. I used to love going to Sheffield Speedway… really enjoyed the racing. I went 8 to 10 times a year for many years. in recent years there has been a serious drop in the quality of the racing culminating in only going once a year…. Then a decision to not bother going at all. sad times
  17. Last of the Colts matches on Friday. It is great watching the young riders develop along with entertaining racing throughout the season. The Mcgurks Have come on well in this shortened season.
  18. Delighted to see a strong possibility of Oxford racing in 2022.
  19. Talking of the internationale…. Remember seeing Jimmy Ogisu… the only Japanese rider to have ridden in Britain
  20. Belle Vue Colts v Stoke. Thunderstorm about 6.30 pm….. track saturated….. most tracks that would be the end. The track was left until about 8pm….work completed on the track…the track does drain very well and you could see the shale gradually getting lighter as the water drained off. Meeting completed. I agree when there is prolonged heavy rain prior to a meeting the track is very grippy everywhere.
