It’s a shame and it really is what it is. There’s nothing Plymouth can do about it most are riding in the “friendly” meeting this evening and probably shows why poole were being clever about why they were so desperate to get the meeting run with around 6/7 days notice. It is nothing but a full gone conclusion this meeting and then the home meeting is going to be pointless. those saying it’s plymouths fault for using R/R for Kennett all season there’s still R/R for kennett anyways. There is no riders around to replace him ! it is what it is, one bonus from this season is exactly how good Plymouth can prove to be when Gary May supported by mark puts a team together. Id have gone out on a limb and openly said that had we kept our originally agreed team for all season we would have won the league. 1-Lawson 2- Bowtell 3- Barker 4- MPT 5- Andersen 6- Gilkes 7- Atkins so although this season is all but over and has been an up hill struggle all season with injuries I’m already looking forward to the team put together for next year. by the way the originally declared team for Plymouth not one rider is riding tonight.. sums up our season. BTW not saying it’s pooles fault they are running tonight if anything shows the worry they had fancying a full (ish) Plymouth team over two legs.

Why does everybody hate Poole?
Doners123 replied to FishersGate's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Ironically the Poole fans have just answered the thread question as to why they are the most hated haha -
Fair play for doing it but it does not mean you know anything per day about speedway more you can design and run a game. Maybe you know lots about computing …… I was chairman of a football club for free with no pay for several years doesn’t mean I know everything about football just means I know about the business model which is greatly different to football itself.

Team wise away we have - 1 - up to 8.40 (Kennet ) - 2 - Ben Morley 3 - up to 7.15 (Andersen) - 4 - up to 6.76 ( MPT) - summers - 6.67 5 - up to 8.00 (Barker ) - 6 - Lee complin 7- Connor Coles only riders over 7 average we can use are - Aarnio 7.55 leon Flint - 7.18 Jake Allen 7.02 batch - 7.29 batch scored 7 from 9 rides as well at Poole. Aaarnio and Allen by the looks of it not rode Poole this year. flint scored 8 from 5. summers scored 9 from 5

Team wise at home we have - 1 - up to 8.82 (Kennet ) - Nicolls - 8.45 2 - Ben Morley 3 - up to 7.51 (Andersen) - Leon Flint - 7.18 4 - up to 7.10 ( MPT) - sedgemen - 7.04 5 - up to 8.40 (Barker ) - Batchelor - 7.29 6 - Lee complin 7- Connor Coles however I’d assume we would possibly go R/R at 5 and then lose flint and put Batchelor to 3. but not a clue, no doubt some of those riders can’t even race.

We ran with a singular guest all season whilst trying to sign someone that would have kept the standard of the team up. it was always going to be a potential issue with one rider and worst case scenario we could have used R/R as MPT had Poole Dialled in until he got fenced. We have 4 injured riders. Even if Kennet was fit it’s near impossible to replace the other three with points they would Get. out of curiosity if you have such a packed schedule howcome Neil’s testimonial was more important than an official meeting ? Why did the BSPA not Insist they run a meeting of more importance ?! if this happened in an established sport that the teams biggest fixture can get changed in under a week it would be laughed at.

Full strength would have included Lawson but there we go hahaha. full strength would have also included all the riders that we were rejected some very unfairly. i assume then…..so you are at full strength regardless of anything you will 100% have a guest for worrall even if there is no one out there that would get as much points as R/R ?!

It’s just another further point for speedway that the board who run the show need to be independent. is it the correct thing to move the meeting, as a Poole fan yes as a Plymouth fan no, that’s life and one was always going to be upset. is it in all honesty is in the best interests of speedway having one team decimated by injuries made to ride ?! Of course it’s not. regardless of what people say Poole wanted it early so they could take advantage of plymouths injuries and losses who wouldn’t. plymouth wanted it later to give themselves a chance to run with the team they assembled and make it competitive and a good watch for fans of both clubs but also neutrals. any speedway fan or someone with the interests of speedway above the interest of any team should have wanted this match to be ran at a later date to make it competitive. im sure Poole fans will argue but i don’t really see the argument IF you put speedways interest first and not Pooles interest.

The other issue in regards to Eddie Kennet is not actually a problem to have with Plymouth but more with the BSPA rules. What people actually forget is that We were the first team to sort our number one out before Poole came in and took him over the winter. this left very few riders to fill a number one slot. With this in mind 12 riders were tried to save signed but due to Visas and BSPA committee Plymouth were not allowed. The reality is the BSPA is going to die a death whilst people with club first interests as apposed to British speedway first interests run the show. How I’m any sport/social element where there is competition can you have some selected group of teams creating the rules that are ultimately going to benefit themselves over the sport. -

So where do we start with plymouths bad luck….. barker 2 nights before the meeting getting injured Lawson fencing MPT Lawson nearly fencing Bowtell The 5-1 in heat 14 come on let’s be real here your boys would have taken one helluva beating today had they not took out MPT. Look at little old Plymouth competing with the “big boys” and with the commentary team plus others moaning about the fact we use Guests for our number one ………Which funnily enough we had lined up before last season even finished…….. who was that and who poached riders….. shall we go there with cook as well or ………. -
