  1. Think Schlein will prove to be very good value on his average, assuming he can stay clear of injury. Excited to see what Riss can bring to the table too. By the sounds of it, some his scores for Edinburgh this season have been good.
  2. Thought the racing was much better tonight than it has been at Monmore in recent weeks. At least there was some decent moves and passing.
  3. Needs to get rid of that diabolical engine though. Didn't even compete tonight.
  4. Rumours of Ty Proctor on the terraces tonight. Typical safe decision from CVS if so since he's familiar with Ty. However, somebody mentioned that he wasn't even scoring that well for Wokington in the Championship this season? Apparently CVS doesn't get on with Schlein who seems like the obvious option assuming the average still fits.
  5. The tractor that was going round in the interval looked quicker than Skornicki's bike to be honest. On the Ref decision, my initial thought is that it might be a Masters exclusion but I guess he went with the "safe" decision of 1st bend bunching.
  6. And another two 0's for Skornicki being nowhere near in both..... Rory Schlein in tomorrow please. 6 point lead for Wolves at the interval before heat 11. Still a long way to go though. Belle Vue very much in with a chance.
  7. Great start for Skornicki on that useless engine of his.
  8. Important for us to hang in there and win our home meetings whilst we await the release of the new averages so we can change things.
  9. Thought the turnout was decent to be fair. Plenty of fans from Coventry. Agree on Clegg and Greaves. They aren't up to this standard unfortunately, putting them out there every week with very little (if any) scoring must be demoralising for them.
  10. Does anybody know if Stefan Neilson's average would fit for Clegg? Rode well at Monmore tonight and beat Clegg multiple times with relative ease. Plenty of 2 pointers available to replace Greaves too. This has to be done quickly because these 2 are going to cost us a lot of meetings unfortunately.
  11. Wolves should be going for Neilson instead of Clegg if his average fits.
  12. Speedway in the UK just seems to lack basic business sense. For example, Wolves were offering an Early Bird Season Ticket Offer up to the second week of January. However, for the following 2 months after the Early Bird period, the website merely stated something along the lines of ''Season Ticket prices and details will be released in due course'' I think it says the same thing now........2 weeks or so into the season. That hardly encourages people to turn up every week. It's just basics, not to mention that social media is really poor. Wolves won the league last season but I bet most people in the city don't even know that we have a speedway team............
  13. I visited the NSS twice last season - once for BV vs Poole on a Bank Holiday Monday and for the playoff final. The racing on both occasions was excellent.
  14. Could be a bit of a pasting to be honest. Freddie could score close to a max but can't see anybody else faring that well. Weak argument. In the aftermath of Kylmakorpi scoring 0 in a home defeat to you guys in the league (as well as not being great around Monmore all season), getting Woffinden (who is our asset after all) in for the rest of the season after that display was hardly a dodgy move. Every other team would've done it. Poole brought Lindback in for the playoffs only, the two moves are not even comparable. BV's poor showing at Monmore in the playoffs cost them - nothing else. Judging by your team this season, you might yet get the chance to avenge your defeat anyway, time to move on either way...........
  15. Just to add, the racing was crap at Monmore on Monday too.
  16. Don't think anybody is knocking their effort or integrity but if you're simply not good enough then that's a hard truth you're going to struggle to get over.
  17. Why specifically target just the Aussies in that case then - why not the Swedes, Danes and Poles too? I just don't see the logic in attempting to exclude foreign riders who want to ply their trade over here, the league is already weak enough how it is. I find the 'Time for Brits to come first, second and third' line a bit rich when Poole for example, have a 28 year old Dane at Reserve. How exactly is that good for British Speedway when that spot could have been filled by a young Brit? It's far more detrimental than having a few Aussies in the league. My point being that British speedway, even with the current rules in place, could still be doing a lot more for British riders than it is currently is.
  18. ''No more Aussies to UK Speedway'' Yes - that will really boost the reputation and standard of British league speedway. I thought there was concern about the league getting worse, year on year, so imagine what this move would do? In response to the poster above, the answer to ensuring Brits like Sarjeant and Bridger get a team place in the Premiership is to increase the number of teams, not turn away Australian riders who want to ply their trade here. What happened with Coventry this Summer and to an extent Lakeside, was farcical.
  19. King shouldn't have been in Heat 15 either to be honest. Leicester fans near us weren't pleased when the lineup was read out.
  20. Leicester will have to feel hard done to there, the freak 5-0 in heat 10 was ultimately the difference.
  21. Clegg and Greaves are literally half a lap behind at best nearly every single heat. It's one thing to struggle to score but to not even be competitive on your home track is embarrassing.
  22. Leicester 14-10 up after 4 heats and deservedly so. Wolves' reserves are looking out of their depth yet again. Leicester's pair of reserves have already scored 8 between them.
  23. Yes, Danny King does usually go well at Monmore if memory serves me correctly. I don't think it will be straightforward for us unless Masters and one of our reserves come to the party.
  24. Yes no problem - I'm a season ticket holder so attend all the home meetings anyway so whenever somebody is needed just let me know, happy to help out.
  25. Thanks Steve - I'll be filling in a programme anyway so sending it through on text will be no problem too. Have just tried to PM you my number but it says that you can't receive any new messages for some reason.
