Tough at “the top” and they couldn’t hack it 😅🙈😂🤪

The season Emil came over he certainly brought that, it was noted by promoters that everyone had their biggest crowds that season on his visits, people turned up to see him for sure. I think that probably subsided a bit over year 2 & 3 though, hard to say really how to make that draw more sustainable with the quantity of teams and top riders we now have riding here. “back in the good old days” when you had a much bigger league and only rode home and away once against everyone and some ko cup matches people would want to be there for the one chance too see say Jason crump visit Foxhall with belle vue, I love watching bewley and Kurtz visit the heath but last season they visited 4 times which reduces that excitement to get to see them for less die hard fans. so in a way I agree with the one top star per team to be the target but I think ultimately the goal should be to have say 10-12 teams with that one top star and drive that draw of “this is your chance to see “top rider X” at your home track this season” but that just seems to so far away from reality with the current state of affairs in uk speedway doesn’t it

I guess it’s a case of how long could he wait on the Northampton team coming to fruition, uncertainty and an offer from Ipswich on the table
-
They would be new followers of British speedway to find that strange, us seasoned fans understand it to be totally normal for British speedway 😂
-
There’s two northern based premiership clubs with Aussie no.6’s on 3 point starting averages this years isn’t there? 👀

It’s your holier than thou tone of your posts that irk people. ”oh if only all the other clubs were like belle vue, we’d never treat riders like other clubs do” (you know, accept for when you do) like you’re the saviours of British speedway and everyone else has an active agenda against belle vue to bring British speedway down.

I wonder if they may place Lawson at 2 to support Tom in some tough heat ones? Him and fricke did some serious damage for Leicester season before last riding 3 heats together and he’ll win a lot of heat 8’s home and away. 1. Brennan 2. Lawson 3. King 4. Nicholls 5. Musielak 6. PHB 7. Edwards Can’t Scotty being fazed riding at 4 instead of 2
-
The signing of PHB has really cheered me up, it was always going to be hard so late in the day to bring over a top no.1 but in the absence of that bringing in an exciting newcomer to the league from the continent is a good show of intent from the new owners and offers additional excitement and intrigue to see how he fairs on these shores
-
Solid looking team all things considered, potential for average improvement in Brennan Musielak and hellstrom, if he drops to reserve Scotty will continue pick off easy points, Lawson and king will be solid and Edwards a good rising star
-
Would he though? That’s why I’d like to see it! Woffy was pretty imperious when he visited a couple of seasons ago, certainly think there’s multiple rider more proven on small tight tracks than bartosz and without long straights to build speed I don’t think he’d have it all his own way

Would absolutely love to see the continental thottle jockeys racing round Foxhall in anger!

It’s says full 1-7 to announced monday

What about Northampton?

Don’t think so, Nicholls guested a lot for the witches in 2024 while Doyle was out long term and only signed to a championship club -
Technically we don’t even know the new owners of Ipswich Witches identity as yet, might not even be mayfield 😉
-
I know last winter it was said he asked for more than Louis was willing to pay him and hence we stuck with king over him instead. No idea if that figure was more than Doyle was getting, that to me sounds somewhat exaggerated and most likely hyperbole but as I say no idea on the actual numbers. he rode well for brummies for the most part last year, was decent in the grand final second leg too guesting for Ellis, solid in the Aussie champs and a decent year on the continent last year, for me he’s a rider who’s career is on a decent upwards trajectory and one id have liked to see back with plenty of room for average improvement.

I would’ve wanted rew in my engine room this coming season
-
Freddie 8.13 Thorsell 4.50 Rew 6.19 Musielak 6.63 Brennan 7.05 Jeppesen 4.34 Edwards r/s 36.84 do well that 🤪😂
-
I mean I think it’s fair enough to allow the new owners to announce the team they’ve signed and running once the sale is complete, appreciate the frustration at how long this protracted sale has now gone on
-
I for one would be very happy to see Tai lining up for us, absolutely flew around Foxhall on his first visit in years for Sheffield a couple of seasons ago and remarked he’d forgotten how much fun he found the smaller tracks people hate on him and yet complain we don’t have any characters anymore 🤷♂️
-
But perhaps as I said spedeworth wanted surety of who the new tenants were to be before the lease renewal was agreed rather than renew with Chris and allow him sell the club to a nightmare mob that spedeworth had no desire to entertain as tenants but were stuck with due to contractual obligations they've just signed
-
Perhaps spedeworth were hesitant to renew the lease without surety of who the incoming tenants would be, would make sense that don’t you think 🤷♂️

The repeat of the comment “within the next couple of weeks” making me think of the scene in when the sausages were gonna be 2 minutes 5 minutes ago 🤪🤣
