  1. Agree, Rew will be back next year I’m sure, found his feet in the past few weeks should kick on next year
  2. Uppa witches! Come on boys we’re not beat til we’re beat! Playoffs bomber here we go!! 47-43 on a wet track tonight king and bomber to show the youngsters how to get stuck into tough conditions! And we’ll beat em 49-41 for a 4 point agg score Thursday! witches wolves final likely to be the best tie for the neutrals no I’ve not been drinking, just delirious from a first 5am alarm after a week off work this morning haha
  3. Emil Rew King Wojdylo Doyle 2 from: Thomas/Edwards/Jenkins/Dan T/Joe T/Boughen
  4. Not knocking jack at all, was just weighing up how we might put together 42 points realistically, any points jack picks up along the way will be a big bonus! Good to hear he’s beaten Bailey round there recently, I’m wary the pressure of top league speedway might affect him fairly tho
  5. Another 48-42 first leg loss will do nicely! Emil 12 danyon 4 danny 8 erik 3 doyle 10 kenny 5 smith 0 42 when you piece it together like this doesn’t look that unrealistic if everyone rides like they did in ko cup final!
  6. Who says the witches are going to be 6 behind in either leg at any point anyways hehe
  7. They had some still in the track shop at Foxhall last night so possibly there next week
  8. Class act on and off the track, hope he’s riding for the witches for years to come
  9. We got 41 last visit a month back and Doyle only got 5 that night so it’s very doable to keep it close again, wright a big imo, in great form and when you lose the 4th average in the team r/r always hard because 3 of the 4 rides are taken by weaker riders
  10. Chris hasn’t been the same rider since darcy’s injury no doubt and can’t blame him to be deeply affected either really given how close they are, he’s had his fair share of pretty frightening crashes and subsequent injuries too tbf
  11. Ride it hard then! Simples! Can’t understand why he’s come back to uk racing if he’s just gonna moan about the uk tracks
  12. You always slag Foxhall off when it’s on tv, not a single Ipswich rider struggled with the track tonight, accept maybe joe Thompson but he’s much less experienced. But he attacked it every time he was out and did superb in heat 2. ipswich is always a grippy track, it’s prepared that way every week, the home riders are used to it, it’s called home track advantage
  13. Good team performance, all the boys battled hard and fought to the end for the points, good hating gloves from king and did well to hold off holder in his last one, have to feel like 6 points is more than doable but no room for complacency Thursday. Does anyone know if fricke guesting again Thursday or someone else? Max better at Foxhall than he showed tonight but Emil and Doyle will be much better too
  14. Joke that the ref pulled heat 8 back howarth had done himself
  15. Wojdylo was a 5.00 this season so don’t think he’d be 4 next!
  16. Big fan of tarasenko, think wojdylo was only a 28 day visa as it was rushed through - he stated on tv coverage he wanted to do a full year in uk next season. Said his favourite tracks are small fast and grippy so Ipswich fits the bill perfect! I get what you mean about the type of rider - at personally think the Frenchman is rubbish haha
  17. Not for me, even when his home track was belle vue or Sheffield he blew way too hot and cold and inevitably went missing in big meetings. Think there’s an enough data on the likes of berge and bellego to just say they’re never going to show a consistent upside. much rather set about getting wojdylo signed up double lively for a similar/same average
  18. Bit harsh, they put together a great run of wins to finish the regular fixtures. irrespective of whether it was us that got in the playoffs or not I’m glad leicester have ended up with egg in their face for what they did to bomber tbh.
  19. It’s not just about age but experience, cook for example in his 3rd year in uk speedway, if rew is only a 4.8 rider in 3 years I’d be very surprised. in terms of the best young Aussie tag he is the current Aussie u21 champ - surely a good metric for that claim. currently 2nd in the sgp2 standings also
  20. Ben cook and jaimon lidsey are 5 & 4 years older than rew tho. How did Ben cook get on in the world u21 series 5 years back? Rew miles ahead at 20 on the continent, needs to sort his gating out big time in uk but his ceiling is closer to lidsey than cook imo. That said I like both the cook lads decent riders, be happy with either at Foxhall next year
  21. Fair comments in view of the two postponed meetings tbh. Not hard to have a wider view of what buster has done for the sport but also recognise the bs that’s gone on over the two meetings postponements.
  22. Tbh Laguta hasn’t ever looked like a rider that would be suited to tighter grippy technical tracks of the uk. he has fast equipment, good gater, loves a big fast slick track where he can just hang off it going flat out - he looked fast chasing king down at Foxhall the other week for Lynn but he was hanging so far off the bike when he caught a tiny bit of grip it just threw him off, watch Emil on the other his centre of gravity is always over the bike, races hard turns the bike hard and always in supreme control.
  23. We were discussing this at Foxhall Thursday, max rode his socks off all night but it must get disheartening sitting on the start with the like of Emil and Doyle either side of him in heat 13&15 and no genuine support from a teammate. He’s a top rider but max is always gonna get beat up trying to beat both on his own
