  2. Agree to disagree. saying joe found it tough, probably too soon for him to be riding at this level is being realistic, calling an 18 year old kid awful is unnecessary imo.
  3. I mean plenty of riders haven’t turned up for meetings they don’t fancy over the years…former world champion last year took Michael out of two clubs doing so, and given his struggles I can imagine it was tough to keep going at times for Joe. Not trying to spin anything, you have to temper the expectations of youngsters, guess I just prefer to support young lads giving it their best rather than tear them down
  4. Not awful, turned up every week, gave it his best, A for effort just very much out of his depth which in turn hit his confidence too. Season or two too soon that’s all, and when guesting late season he’d been winning races in the lower leagues, confidence was back and was closer to pace with a couple of big points to help win the cup. Will be one of the weaker reserves at the start of the season but the potential is there.
  5. we had the same chat two pre seasons ago when max was belle vue, you claimed doyle was on the decline and max on the rise and he'd be the best in the league over doyle easily that year.... how's the past two seasons worked out on that metric? doyle has comfortably out performed max home and away both of the last two seasons. ipswich came within a heat advantage or two of winning both the cup and league last year and if the weather hadn't played havoc on the sheffield leg of the grand final in normal track conditions ipswich would've had enough to hold onto their lead from the home leg imo ellis is an upgrade on riss dan t one of the best rising stars jenkins an upgrade on hume marginally with greater scope to improve new end of season was superb in the playoffs and comfortably out performing his season average in the last few meetings can't see any world where ipswich are the 6th best team in this league unless they're ravaged with injuries again.
  6. Foxhall should serve as a better home track for Adam I think, he’s had some very good meetings in the last few years and some indifferent of course. One of best seasons was in the Swindon team with Doyle too so hopefully that can breed some confidence into him riding with Jason again. with our top 2 being so imperious home and away the pressure on the rest of the team is so much lower than in other years, no one really has to do more than the expected/capable to be in the playoffs, too many years the teams have been built lumping pressure on the likes of Danny to go out and be a top 1/5 and it’s just not a fair expectation of him
  7. tungate rode for ipswich year before last? league looks the strongest its looked this year in a very long time imo! tungsten quick on big fast tracks, often struggles on tighter tracks he has to turn the bike hard
  8. Rate Vaculik highly, but he was outperformed by Jack Holder in the GP's last season and I really don't think he'd be on the level of Doyle/Emil in UK straight away, really hope Brum have got him tho would be another great asset for UK speedway in 2024!
  9. He didn’t come over for a meeting due a supposed ankle injury meaning they got a facility for him, and then posted an instagram story of himself out for a trail run the next morning - he just didn’t fancy whatever right technical track he was supposed to be racing on that week. don’t sign a contract over here if your polish club aren’t on board either tbh, it’s unprofessional to sign a contract and then pick and choose when you come whether that’s you or the polish team dictating.
  10. Me too, he demonstrated such a commitment to racing British speedway last season, tbh if I was Chris Louis I’d have chopped Emil in for him!!
  11. Still when he has the speed woffy has the best track craft of anyone in gps to challenge zmarzlik, just hasn’t seemed to have the speed or gating gloves the last 3 years or so
  12. Obviously it’s easy for me say it say watching from the armchair I know but just seemed such an obvious mistake he made multiple times
  13. It was so frustrating this season watching lambert boss the heats and then choose gate 2 and give big guns gate 1 to just push him out of the way. Happened 3-4 times. I get he’d won races off two but if you’re backing yourself to make it off 2 just back yourself to make it off 1 and when you do you’ve got the advantage to push your opponents out like they kept doing to him.
  14. He’s never had a legitimate interest in riding in the uk and he still doesn’t
  15. What’s scores are a good reserve supposed to regularly score then? If a reserve is banging 9,10,11s regularly then they aren’t a reserve are they
  16. Lovely lad, 100% commitment every race. Feel like at 26 Danyon has reached his level tho, which is a good middle order rider in the second tier and reserve in prem so for me the likes of Jenkins, flint etc would be more favourable moving forward given they’ve seemed to reached a similar levels/surpassed Danyon slightly when several years younger and more scope to continue progressing next year to even higher standard. This year if Erik had been fully back to his best and Danyon hadn’t fallen off twice in the home leg of the final in scoring positions we’d have been champions - Ellis should be a big upgrade on the Erik we saw this year and Jenkins a rider with more potential upside to grow to higher level than Danyon through the season so we’ve significantly improved our weakest two team spots in a team that came within a whisker of winning the lot this year!
  17. I’d be happy to see Jenkins a witch in 24, made solid progress last year, nice kid with a good attitude! dunno if he’s still eligible for rising star or not has there been a list produced for the coming season yet that anyone has seen? I’ve not seen one on the website p.s Jordan wouldn’t like riding for Ipswich with Emil and Doyle at all, it would just super duper convenience with him being from Norwich and nothing else
  18. Significant progress on the 6.02 finishing average from this season?
  19. Ellis a decent signing in the middle of the team, should make a mockery of his starting average I’d think he’s decent at Foxhall
  20. Ben cook over king? Really? he scored 5+3 riding reserve and 5+1, 4+2 riding at 4 and 2 in his Foxhall visits last year and his gsa only 1.05 less than king huge downgrade that for very little gain elsewhere in team building.
  21. So you’ll take what he said 2 years ago as gospel but what he’s said this close season is all a line for the fans and he doesn’t mean a word of it yeah?
  22. Yep, he doesn’t mince his words when he doesn’t like something does he! It’s clear how much he’s enjoyed the past two seasons
  23. So when Doyle says he’s loves riding for Ipswich and it’s like a family what are you doing saying it’s rubbish and it’s just convenient?? That’s questioning the integrity of his word and I just can’t understand your rhetoric
  24. So you’re questioning Doyle’s integrity then? As well as slagging off Ipswich as a club? For what?
  25. If that’s the side I find it curious that cook was signed over wright or Brennan tbh
